2 THE REVELATION OF THE SECOND SEAL (PART 2) by Pastor Steven L. Shelley Will you stand with me this morning and let s look to the Word of God. (You did just fine, Brother Currie, never to have played that before.) And didn t Brother Bobby do good? He has never filled in but two or three times on the drums. And he just did so good. Let s praise the Lord for having him. Brother Charlie was working. Oh, hallelujah. Thank God. There s a good spirit here. It s the Spirit of the Lord. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. And he whom the Son sets free is what? Free, indeed. And there is, therefore, now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus those of us who are in Christ. You know, you don t get into Christ by joining the church. You don t even get into Christ by being baptized in the church. There s only one way to get in Christ and that s through repentance and a new birth. And God is the only One who can cause you to have a new birth. And it requires grace and blood. There has to be a price for our redemption. 3 Turn with me, if you will, to the Book of the Revelation. Well, if anybody knows me very well, and some of you do, you know what happens to me when I go hear other people sing. It makes me want to sing. Anytime... I haven t been since we ve been married and had children. We haven t gone very... to very many singings, but Sister Flo, as a little gift, a gesture of kindness to us, she got tickets for us to go up to LaGrange on Friday night to a little Gospel concert at a... what they call The Barn. And I d never been. I just stopped in there one time to say hello to somebody. But I d never been to any concert there. And we went up early and met them and had a nice dinner. They have a nice meal prepared there. And then we went in and had nice seats. And, you know, even the babies... several of us there... and the babies they don t always cooperate. But that didn t even bother me. I just... for a little while... I just took Olivia and stood in the back and enjoyed it anyway. And in the back, they have rocking chairs for old-timers. I think you have to reserve them. I needed one. I could have enjoyed one myself. But they had them in the back back there. And all these old people just rockin and enjoying the good Gospel singin. And I was holding Olivia. And all of a sudden this real old brother... he was quite old... he jumped up and he said, Why, brother, he said, you ought to have my rockin chair and rock that baby. 4 anything, but that sure is nice of you to offer it. I just thought that was so kind. I saw people that I hadn t seen in years. A young brother that I knew in Pentecost was one of the MC s of it. He played the bass, and his son played the drums. And I was so shocked when I saw him, and he told me that his son is getting married in a few weeks. I remember when he was born. I tell you, it sure made me feel old. I took the boys out to the washroom and came back in. And he hollered at me, and he said, This is so strange to see you, Brother Shelley, with boys, with children. He said, We never knew you with children. And I said, Yeah, here you are marrying yours off, and I m just startin with mine. But we had such a nice time. Charles Johnson and the Revivers sung. And Mr. Johnson is getting old, I ll tell you that. He s a lot slower than he used to be. But nobody can sing that one song quite like him that says, I can t even walk without Him holding my hand. That s a very sweet song. And we stayed late, and we were so blessed at the end by the Singing Echos. I don t know if you ve heard them. It s been many years since I heard them. All the young men that were playing the instruments were boys the last time I saw them ten and eleven. Now they re twenty-one, twenty-two, married and some have children. So it sure was a blessing to see them Baptist folk get excited. My, they put Pentecostal people to shame. That one boy played the guitar and 3 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 5 did what they used to call in the old black church, The Buck Dance. I m telling you, he played the guitar and danced at the same time. And he blessed my blesser. Just seeing those young men several of them twenty-one, nineteen, twenty-three so excited about singin and playin instruments for the Lord. One of them played seven instruments, and one of them played eleven. I can t even hardly play the radio. But I was so blessed to see them using their talent for the Lord. And it made me want to sing. They were going to arrange for me to sing, but I said, No, no. I ve off the concert circuit. And I d be too nervous. So I didn t. But I sure enjoyed hearing them. But I said, If I can just get to church Sunday, I ll sure be able to sing cause they won t be able to stop me. They ll just have to endure. I enjoyed the blessings of the Lord. Of course, when I went Monday night and heard the symphony, it made me want to play the tuba. I just get inspired when I hear music. Brother West is shaking his head. He said he couldn t stand no tuba in church he didn t think, maybe. But I ll tell you, I ve never heard such sweet music as they played at that symphony. It was so wonderful. I mean, it was a blessing. And God was just so good. We just had a wonderful week in the Lord. The Lord s just been good. We had such wonderful fellowship with the Yantes family on Thursday. 6 So I ve had a lot of good pizza and a lot of good fellowship. We fellowshipped into the night and heard good music together. And they re a blessing to us. Their family is so precious, and their children are so well behaved. Any time you have that many... Let s see, there s eight of them and three of ours, and they were all in the same house. That d be eleven, and Stacey and I d be twelve, thirteen. Brother and Sister would be fourteen, fifteen. And yet, I think it was relatively peaceful. The children just had such a wonderful time in the sweet presence of the Lord. And yesterday, we had a nice time down in town watching those airplanes. I never seen anything quite like some of that. It s just been a nice week of fellowship with God s people. Aren t God s people great? Oh, they re wonderful. Hallelujah. Don t get discouraged. They re not yet what they re going to be. Don t get discouraged. When you see them a little human, they re not yet what they re going to be. But when God gets through with us all, we re going to shine. And it s so wonderful to have our brother from Ghana, all the way from Ghana with us this morning. God bless you. I can t quite say it. Agwafi? No. Say it again. Oh, with a K. Kafuri. We re so happy to have him. He attends the church of our good friend, Pastor Tay, who s going to be in Europe and in the States. I saw where he s going to be traveling some. 7 And Brother Kafui, (you heard him) he works on a mercy ship one of the big mercy ships that goes around through the different parts of the world, this one through Central and South America taking surgical... taking doctors and physicians and eye care and all kinds of things, even doing surgery, and building schools and hospitals and all kinds of things for poor and underprivileged people. And our brother works on a ship. The ship is temporarily docked in the harbor at Mobile and will be here for another month. But next week, in about a week, our brother is going to fly back to Ghana. He hasn t been there now in over a year. And so, we re so glad he got to be with us this last Sunday before he goes home to my other home in Ghana. When I m in Ghana, I m just at home as I am when I m here in Alabama. So, we re so glad... He brought a bus up. He has to leave right after the service this morning. If I don t hurry up and preach, he won t get no preaching because he has to go back. But I m glad he was able to come. Revelation, chapter 6, verse 1. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. 6 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 8 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see that thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Revelation 6:1-8) Father, how we thank You this morning for the living Bread of Life, Your precious Word. How we thank You for the anointing that has been in our midst... the way You ve blessed us and encouraged us today. And we know, Lord, that all feels peaceful among us. 9 He does not delight in the fact that we move along in You. And so now we must take authority over him in the Name of Yeshua. We must bind in the authority of heaven. For You said, Whatsoever is bound in heaven is bound on earth. Whatsoever is loosed in heaven is loosed on earth. And, Lord, we just bind and take authority over every work of darkness, every distracting demon of hell. And, Lord, we give liberty and space to the ministering angels of eternity that they may come and set up their camp among us and cause us to be strengthened by the Shekinah glory that goes with them. And we ll give You the glory and the honor and the praise. For it s all in the lovely Name of Yeshua HaMashiach, the Messiah, we pray. Amen. And the Church said, Amen. You may be seated. I want to read a portion Scripture this morning, diverting a little bit from the subject, found in the 8th chapter of the Book of John. If you ll turn there with me to the 8th chapter of the Book of John. Everybody ought to have their Bible. Everybody ought to bring it to the house of God. Make that little extra effort to try to remember to bring your Bible. It helps you stay awake if you re turning pages to keep up with the preacher. And it helps you to keep the preacher in check, so that I don t bring something that s not in the Word. It s very good if you can do that. 10 you can just listen. But if you ve got it, and bring it, and can, then it s nice to follow along. I just want to read this. It was inspired in my spirit from what Sister Flo was singing this morning. John, chapter 8, verse 53. Let s read verse 52. Said, Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. (John 8:52-55) Did you hear what Yeshua just spoke to those Jewish people? He just called them liars in a very polite way. He said, You say that you honor God and believe God, and you don t. He said, If I should say that I didn t know Him, then I would be telling a lie. Verse 56 said, 9 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

11 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. (John 8:56) You know that s a great blessing when we read that. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. (John 8:56) There s only one way that Abraham could have seen the day of the coming of the Mashiach, and that was by the Spirit. Only by the Spirit could He have seen it. And we re so blessed when we read about that beautiful meeting that took place on the highway there when Abraham met the King of Salem. He met this unusual, strange, mysterious priest whose name was Melchisedek. And when we read in the New Testament, we hear the Apostle telling us about this Melchisedek. And he says he had neither mother nor father, nor beginning of days or ending of life. And so as we study we find that this was not just an ordinary king, nor was he an ordinary priest. But he was God who had come down in a body to meet Abraham there. We know that. That s not speculation or interpretation. We know that by the writing of the Old Testament... the New Testament. If the New Testament is inspired, and Paul was inspired by the Holy Ghost, he told us this very specifically. 12 He even goes on to tell us that Levi paid tithes while he was in the loins of Abraham. It was accounted to him as though he had been the one that had given this gift to Melchisedek. Abraham met this great priest, and he gave money... he gave offering to Him. He paid his tithes to Him, the Bible said. And this Levi, who was still in his loins several generations down... And, yet, God said He honored Levi while he was yet in the loins of his father, Abraham. He gave honor to him for paying his tithe. So we know this wasn t just giving money to the preacher. He was giving money as though it were given right straight to the Lord. Amen? And it was in that moment, perhaps, that his eyes were opened and he saw the day. It was perhaps in that moment that his spirit was illuminated and he was able by the Holy Ghost to look ahead to another day and see the coming of Messiah. And here the Mashiach says to the Jews... He said, Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad. And they said unto Him, Thou art not yet fifty years old. How hast Thou seen Abraham? Notice, He didn t say He had seen Abraham. He said, Abraham had seen Him. And the Jews said, Well, you re not even fifty years old. How could you have known our father, Abraham? But in verse 58, Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58) 11 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

13 Oh, I like that. But they didn t care much for it. Did they? Verse 59 said, Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8:59) And when Sister Flo was up here singing, Jesus said, I am that I am that I am. I am that I am, my spirit went back to that meeting that He had there with the Jews. And they were so concerned about their father, Abraham. And all of a sudden, He just looked at them and He said, Before Abraham was, I am. When Moses was looking for a name... that he might drop a name in Pharaoh s ear that Pharaoh might fear the name, God Yahweh refused to give him a name that could be dropped as a political calling card. He said, You just tell him, I AM has sent me. Hallelujah. And you know, there s something about that I AM that blesses me because it s all encompassing. He said, I am Alpha when he appeared to John in this same Apocalypse, this same revelation, on the Isle of Patmos. He said, I am Alpha, and I am Omega. There s some debate among Message believers about if He is the inbetween. But I tell you, I have found Him to be the in-between for my life. 14 everything between the beginning and the end. I ve found Him to be everything that I have need of. If you need a lawyer, the song said, I am that. And you know we oughta... it behooves us to give God a more vehement and sincere praise when we get a revelation that everything we have need of is in Jesus, in Yeshua, in Christ. I just saw a little . Sister Nancy just forwarded a little to me. She has been sending out some of the visions that I ve had over the years to her massive mailing list, and it has caused quite an interest. A few people have asked to be... have asked to be unsubscribed. But a lot of people say, Send us the ones we missed. We want to hear everything. We want to hear all about it. And several have said, We re going to campmeeting. We re going to summer campmeeting. We want to be there. And so you just don t ever know how God s going to use these things to fulfill His Word to us. But one lady, bless her little heart, I remember when I was just as naive as she is. She sent a little , and she said, I d just like to know one thing... greetings to you and whatever... I d just like to know one thing. Who is this Yeshua that you all are talking about? And she said, If you re talking about Jesus, what s wrong with using that lovely name Jesus, Jesus, there s just something about that name? What s wrong with using that name? 15 know. And I m not going to stand here and try to rewrite every song I ve ever sung if it talks about Jesus. How many of you know who it s talking about? But I sure would like to get the word out that His name in the Bible was not Jesus, but it was Yeshua. And I read where some of the scholars who had gone to see the Passion of the Christ, they said, Although we may not agree with every detail. We might not have chosen to do it in every way... It s the first major motion picture in the history of the world that has called Jesus by His Hebrew name, Yeshua. And they said, We re at least blessed that people who have never heard Him called by that name will at least know that He had a different name other than the Greek interpretation of His name. But brother, when you get in trouble, you just call Him. He knows who you re talking to. I believe that. I believe that. But I just appreciate some of the things that the Lord puts in our spirit and helps us to grow and learn and become more like Him. Amen. I was reading this week... real quick... I was reading this week about the Roman law concerning a Will. A Will, a Last Testament, we call it. And you know, the Bible said... one of the apostles in the New Testament said that this Testament, this Will, is not able to be activated without the death of the Testator. You see, you can t claim the promises of a Will until the Promiser has died. Then you step up. You see, the death of this Lamb was very, very necessary very necessary that Yeshua die. 16 was very necessary that He go to the Father after He had raised from the dead and after He had enjoyed a little period of ministry there appearing to the disciples. And I ve been wanting to remind you, ever since we ve mentioned some of these things... I ve been wanting to remind you that not only did He appear to His disciples for some forty to fifty days before He ascended into heaven, also, the Bible said, that many of them which slept, many of them which were dead, in Jerusalem arose with Him. And the Bible said, And walked again the streets of Jerusalem, also for this period of time. Now, they didn t live there. Some people say, Well, they must have lived another lifetime and died. No, no, no. When He left, they went with Him. When He ascended, those dead in Christ, those who died with a faith... and He appeared to them in Paradise. We ve already covered that. And can you imagine, though, walking the streets of Jerusalem and running into somebody that you knew? You had been there and watched them buried. And they resurrected? It looked like it would have caused the whole city to believe that Yeshua was the Messiah. But, in all of that, they still reasoned that He must not be the One that was promised. And yet, for this forty or fifty-day period, He appeared to many and so forth. And the dead raised and walked again the streets, 15 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 17 and people recognized their loved ones. And yet, some still did not believe. And, in all of that, it was still not sufficient to empower the Church to do what the Church had been called and commissioned to do. And therefore, He said, It is expedient for you, highly necessary for you, that I go away because He said, If I go not away, the Comforter can t come to you. But if I go back to the presence of the Father, He said, then I will send you another Comforter. And in another place He said, I will not leave you comfortless, or without comfort. But I will come to you. Hallelujah. It would have been lovely, Brother Valente, it would have been lovely to have walked in the time of Yeshua when He walked in an earthly body. It would have been lovely to see Him heal the ten lepers and raise Lazarus from the dead. It would have been glorious to see Him heal the woman with the issue of blood and raise Jairus daughter. And all of the great miracles, it would have been a wonderful thing to see. But oh, I wouldn t have chosen... If I could choose, I wouldn t have chosen to have lived in any other hour than the hour that we re living in right now. Somebody said, You must be a fool to say such a thing. There s never been a day so evil, so dark, so bleak. There s never been a time so filthy and perverse. There s never been an hour quite like the hour we re living in. You re absolutely right. 18 prophet Zechariah have come to pass among us. And in that day, whether it s where it s neither light nor day, but a mixture of both, we ve heard and recognized the prophecy, seen it with our own eyes, It shall be light about the evening time. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. And all that was hidden down through the ages, God has shined His light on that. And this book that we call The Revelation, and this scroll that we talk about, and these Seals that we talk about being loosed... and we wonder, What is the significance of twenty-four elders? What is the significance of four beasts? What is the significance of Seven Seals, Seven Vials, Three Woes, Seven Trumpets? What is the significance of the Seven-branch candlestick and Yeshua walking in the midst of that? What about the seven stars in His hand? What about the plagues and the three unclean spirits that went out like frogs? And who is this woman riding a beast? And who is this Man-child that the dragon desired to consume? And who is this lovely lady here, this one and that one? Who is this woman who draws a chalice of blood to her lips and drinks the blood of the martyrs? And who is this and that? What significance does all of this have? Well, I want to tell you, it has greater significance than people have ever begun to discern. It s great significance because this Seven Seal scroll was not somebody s life story. It wasn t a novel. It wasn t just an interesting read, but it was a Will. 19 Title Deed for eternal life. He said salvation and deliverance, all that we would have need of, was in that Will. It was a Will. And that Will could not be carried out until the death of the Testator. And so, the One who left you this inheritance of eternal life had to die first. And then after He died, it took some time... it took some time for the time to come, for the season to come, that the Will would be opened. I don t mean to be crass, but I have a lot of greedy people who are related to me. And I ll never forget... I ll never forget when my grandmother passed away in It ll soon be fourteen years ago. And we had been with her all night. And she had asked me before she slipped into a coma, she said, Please don t cancel any of the services. And she died on a Saturday morning. And on Sunday morning, we were having church. And Sunday night, we had church. She said, Please don t cancel any services, but go right on and worship God, and do what you would normally do. And if I should die this weekend, then on Monday or Tuesday or whatever, you can take care of me. But don t let anything be cancelled. And so on Saturday morning early, they came and got her body from the house and took her to the funeral home. And so I went right over... went right straight over there because I knew they would need help. And so I went over to be there. And I got a phone call from my family, my uncle. 20 the Will. And I said, You ve got to be kidding. She s not embalmed. There s no funeral. I m here helping with the arrangements. We ve not even picked out a casket. No, he said, the time is already set, and the lawyer is coming. And we re going to read the Will. Can you imagine the anxiousness of people? I had no choice but to go. And so I went. And the first thing I said was, Make this as quick as possible. I m not through grieving. And there are hundreds of people coming in from all over the nation to grieve with us, and I m going to be there to greet them. I can t imagine. Do you know that the Testator died? And yet it was a long span of time before anybody ever knew what was in the Will. It wasn t that people wouldn t want to know what was there, but there had to be a search made the Bible said. There was a search made in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth. And this search was for one who would be found worthy to take this Will, to take this Book, to take this Scroll and open the Seals thereof so that we could see what the inheritance was. And I was reading this week about Roman law concerning a Will. And do you know, it wasn t just the Will of Yeshua, but it was required by Roman law that every Will would be sealed with seven seals, proven by Caesar Augustus and often made with wax having some kind of an imprint pushed into the wax like a signet of some kind. 21 it could hardly be repaired without leaving evidence that it had been broken. And that s why... Did you know that s still how they do things in Germany? We had some legal papers last year that came from Germany to us. And it was the strangest thing I d ever seen before. I m not a notary. Brother Billy is a notary, and maybe he d seen something like that. But we had some legal papers to come from Germany. And it had string crisscrossed all about the papers and sealed with a wax seal so that no one could touch that. No one could cut that string or break that seal or else it would, in German law, it would nullify. It was a very serious thing, a penalty, to break into that. And yet Yeshua, the Testator, died. And some years went by in God s economy before there was ever a time that these Seals were even opened. And John was caught into the Lord s Day and was able to see this great opening. Can you imagine what was in his heart? In fact, without going into detail that you ve already heard, John got so excited about it that he had been found worthy to come to this great event... And not only that for the things that he saw when this Scroll was opened up, he got so excited that he said, Everything in heaven and in earth heard I, John, crying to God with a loud voice. He began to cry out with such a loud voice to the Lord, with such joy and with such excitement, not because of the judgment that was about to fall on the 20 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 22 earth, not because a white horse rider, a red horse, a black horse, a pale horse was about to come, but John recognized it for what it was. It was the Title Deed to the earth. It was the Title Deed to all of our spiritual inheritance that was wrapped up in those Seals. And when God chose, This is the time that this should come forth, John was standing there not as a... just a bystander, but as an active participant because he was able to look right in. And I heard a man of God say, The thing that excited him the most is he looked in and saw his own name written there. And oh, John was never the same. My brother, my sister, if we could only this morning get a revelation that I m in His Will. I m in His Will. Hallelujah. My name is there. I ve got an inheritance in Him. He s given us eternal life because of the price that He paid. If we could only get a revelation that no man, no circumstance, no heartache, no problem, no condition can pluck us from His hand. Do you know you re the only one that can take yourself out of the care of God? Oh, there s a place we can get into where we step out from under the Ark of Safety, where many, many people are walking this morning out from under the Ark of Safety. You know that God gives us a protective covering in the fellowship. God does that for us because He loves us. Amen. 23 I m waiting on the Spirit now. I could say something, but I think I ll just leave it. Let me see... Although they may even come to the service, but long ago their hearts have left the desire. They ve given up on the idea of really keeping the teachings of the Church. It s all kind of... And you know what people don t realize? But according to the Message that we ve received in this day, when you make a decision like that, you take yourself out from under the Ark of Safety. And God may let you go a long time doing your own thing. And He may turn His face and let you enjoy and go along. But I want you to know there is an hour, there s coming an hour. If you re His, if you re His, there s coming an hour that God is going to come to claim His possession. If you belong to Him, He s going to come and claim that possession. And I want you to know I ve seen God come so sweetly and claim that which belongs to Him. Haven t you? I ve seen people who are away from the Lord for countless years come in to an old-fashioned Holy Ghost service and the spirit of anointing and conviction would touch them. And they d come down after fifteen or twenty years of serving sin and just weep in an old-fashioned altar and be renewed. I ve seen God come to claim that which belongs to Him in such a tender way. 24 And what looks to us this morning like the harshest of judgment is not necessarily judgment at all. But it may be God s way of claiming that which belongs to Him. And you know what I say? Blessed be the Name of the Lord. I have to say what David said, It is the Lord who gives and it is the Lord who takes away. The most important thing is that if we belong to God, we must be in fellowship with Him. We ve got to be in communion with Him. We ve got to be in relationship covenant with Him. And when we fall away from that, God knows how to reclaim that which belongs to Him. How many of you would just agree right now in prayer with me that God would go forth from this place this morning, and that He would reclaim His possession. Oh Father, in faith we agree right now that You would go forth by the Holy Ghost and reclaim that which belongs to You, oh God. Lord, if You could do it in mercy, do it in mercy. But if You have to do it in justice, do it in justice. Because above all... I don t care. I don t care the doubters. The doubters here don t hinder me. Lord, if You have to do it in justice, do it in justice. But we just release You because a lot of times, Lord, it s us that keeps You from doing Your business. But this morning, for those that will agree by faith, we agree in faith and release You to go and claim Your possession. 25 You know, this is the time when God wants to bring His seed close. Do you know the Bible said that when Jesus was on the cross, the Bible tells us in Revelation form... In the Old Testament there s a prophecy that says, In His death, He was able to see... or in the original, Keep His seed... He was able to see His seed. This is one of the things that the Jewish people use to contradict and say that Yeshua could not be the Messiah because they don t understand the correct interpretation of Him seeing His seed. But you and I understand. And it s not a great mystery. It s a great joy to think about it, for He saw His seed on Calvary. On the cross, we sung, When He was on the cross, I was on His mind. As He was dying there, paying the price, I want you to know He knew all that would come. The Bible says that. This is not some doctrine that somebody made up. God, who is omniscient, He knew all that were coming. And He saw them all. And He fulfilled the Old Testament prophet who said that He would die and see His seed. Hallelujah. Not His literal seed, because He had no children. And that s what they said. They said, Well, how could He be Messiah because Yeshua had no children of His own. And so, how could He fulfill that Scripture that in death He saw His seed? They don t understand it was His spiritual seed He saw. It was His children that He saw. It was you and I that He saw. Hallelujah. When He suffered on the cross, He had His people on His mind. Hallelujah. 26 You hear what I m saying? Some are going to come by mercy. Some are going to come by judgment. But those that belong to God will not be lost at the end of this thing. God knows how to claim that which belongs to Him. So I encourage you, although I feel the mixture of the spirit this morning, I encourage you to get out of God s way and let God deal with your loved ones. Get out of God s way and let God reach them while they can be reached. Get out of the... Somebody said, Well, if they re coming anyway, why does it matter how they d come? Because brother, sister, there s a work to be done. There s a ministry of deliverance that must go out through the earth because even the Church of the Living God is sick. Those who claim to be His sons and His daughters stand in great need of deliverance. And that anointing of deliverance has not yet gone forth in its fullness because God s waiting on the forerunners to come forth. God s waiting on the first seed to come to maturity. We talked about abib. We talked about when the harvest comes to maturity as soon as they... In the Bible, as soon as they could go out and see that the field was coming to abib, they could see the harvest was coming to maturity, they knew that Pesach was at hand. And they begin to make their preparation for celebration. 27 I told you about the Karaites who don t pay any attention to the Jewish calendar. They wait until they see the new moon before they change their calendar and say, Now, a new month has begun. And so, because of that, they live by corrected calendar that s much off from the Jewish calendar at times. Their desire to be right in God s timing... We don t live that way. But I tell you, I have a greater desire this morning than I ve ever had in my entire life to be in the timing of the Lord. And there s a revival that God wants to send in this house. He wants to send a stirring and a moving in this house. You know, as I was sitting there this morning and I was hearing Sister Flo sing and God took me to that verse of Scripture, I could feel the calling and the wooing of the Spirit. As Paul was up here leading the singing and the Spirit of the Lord was on him, I could feel the wooing and the calling of the Spirit. It s not enough just to be concerned. Somebody said to me this morning, I m concerned about so-and-so. I said, Use that as an opportunity of prayer. It s not enough to be burdened for somebody. It s not enough to be concerned about somebody. But turn all of that energy into bombarding heaven. Join those few who are praying early before the service. You may not want to be... you may not want to be stuck in the rut of it. You may not want to be stuck in the routine of it. You may not want to pledge to do it every service. 28 minutes before the service around the altar in prayer. These are the ways that revival has always been birthed. I ll tell you what our problem is this morning, if you don t mind, and if you do, you ll live. I ll tell you what our problem is as we so many times... I say this a lot, but we haven t got it yet... So many times, we allow ourselves to become discouraged because of what we see other people doing. And you know, this proves that we re not in our relationship with God like we need to be. You know, don t be offended. I m just telling you. Because, brother, there comes a place... We all get hurt. I get hurt. I get disappointed. And I battle that discouragement. But I refuse to allow it to change the way I live my life. It s so discouraging to me... Listen. I want to be real plain this morning. I think it s very necessary. I ve served the Lord a long time. That doesn t make me anything. And I ve always stood for holiness. I ve always stood for godliness and godly living and godly dressing. And it grieves me when I see young people come into the house of God who know better, who have been taught better. It grieves me to come in and see young ladies with their clothes so tight that their buttons won t hardly button, and they re bulging, and their bosom is exposed. It s grievous to me to see such as this because I understand that it s not you. 29 It s a spirit that s taken hold. I will preach, and I am at home. It s a spirit that s taken a hold. And you know what I heard a prophet say? Say you don t believe in the prophet? That s all right. I don t care. I heard a prophet say... and I think it was wise... he said, God was going to hold women responsible. You know, this modern church world they... in the modern world, the modern society, you know, they say, Well, the women always get blamed for what the dirty old men do. I don t want to be guilty of that. I want you to know if you ve got a spirit of lust, you need deliverance. I preached last camp meeting, I think, on a spirit of lust and said, Come right up here. And people came without hesitation and stood in the front of this church and said, I want deliverance. Now that is God when somebody can come and stand in front of a group of people and say, I battle with that spirit, but I want God to help me. And somebody said, Well, I was one of those who came. I d be ashamed to come again. Don t dare be ashamed to come again. But I was prayed for, and I still am tormented. You come and come and come and come again until God gives you victory and deliverance over that thing. Don t walk in condemnation, but do walk in seriousness. So I don t want to be guilty of blaming all the evil of the world on women. But I do want to say what a prophet said. 30 who had never committed the actual act of fornication or adultery. And how is that going to be possible? And he said it s because of the scandalous way they prepared their body, the way they dressed. He even went so far as to say that if a women exposed her underneath garments that she was potentially guilty of committing adultery because, he said, if she conducted herself in such a way that would cause a men to look upon her to desire her, he s not the only sinner. Preach, brother. It grieves me to see such as that in the house of God, but it doesn t make me angry with people. It doesn t make me not love you. It doesn t make me not appreciate you. But it makes me discern and know it s not you. It s a spirit. And instead of getting mad and getting upset, get right. Have revival. Let God do something in your life. Why, I heard a man of God say if a woman exposed her feet to a man... that a woman should be careful about covering up her feet to a man that wasn t her husband because in the times of the Bible this was very symbolic. Somebody said, Yeah, but everybody was wearing sandals then. It was the culture of the day. It was the spirit of the day. But I m just telling you we re living under a different age and a different spirit today. He said a man ought to be... I know we live like families, and so forth. And I m not talking about that. 31 believers that would run into Wal-mart without shoes on. I can t imagine anything like that. I can t imagine it. It doesn t give a very godly impression to somebody who sees you. I don t want to get legalistic this morning and name all these little things. I just want to tell you I feel very well qualified to say, We need a revival. I want you to know there are some of us who refuse... I refuse, by the help and the grace of God, to let these spirits touch my house. I m called by God to not only be a priest in this house, but my greatest responsibility is to be a priest in my own home. And I m very responsible for my wife and children. I m going to answer to God double time for what goes on under my spiritual care and leadership in my own home. And I can t let those spirits touch my house. I can t allow my wife to go lay in the tanning bed so that she can be brown and attractive for some other man to look at her. I can t allow such as that. I have to stand against that. I m obligated by God. I can t let my wife go down to the beauty parlor and put all that permanent solution... Listen, brother, sister. Anybody who would do that and put all that chemical on their hair, you do not have a revelation that a woman s hair is given her for a glory, for a covering for her head. You do not have a revelation of such as that if you ll go down there and let them put acid and those chemicals on your hair and burn it up. You do 30 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 32 not have a revelation that that s your glory. Who in the world would want to ruin the glory that God has placed on their head? It shows. I m not mad at anybody. I love everybody. I want everybody to love God and serve the Lord. But I can t help every now and then to raise up a clarion call and say, Hey. Hey. You re free to do whatever you want to do. No one has power to stop you or control you. You re free. But if you want to have fellowship with God in this place, there s a standard that some people have paid great prices to protect down through the years. Oh, I love this revelation, brother. I love hearing about these Seals and all these wonderful things. But when it all comes down to it, God wants us to be able to live an obedient and submissive life. It s not fair for young men to be distracted. Oh, they need... I tell you, the devil s after them every which way in a world, and so forth. Shouldn t we be friendly? Oh, yes. We ran into the same sort in Wal-mart just the other day. And we spent precious moments of our time that we could have been doing other things trying to make that contact of small talk. You don t really know what to say to people that have left the faith. But you just want to be right with God, don t you? And you just make little 31 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 33 comments, and you talk the best you can. I believe we ought to fellowship and love one another and treat one another... But I thought, What a terrible shame. Because what we don t realize is the spirit that brought that kind of thing to pass is not satisfied to take one. That spirit s after every young girl and after every young man. Any spirit that would lure a young man up in the woods somewhere for things that aren t godly and aren t holy... And then you take away all restraint and take away all godly preaching and all righteousness from that... That spirit s hog wild today and out of control. And we have to protect ourselves. Say, Amen or Oh, me. I want us also to pray that our brothers will have a desire for God like they ve never had before. You know, there was a time in this ministry and in the church that I came up with that men would never consider taking jobs that would keep them out of the house of God week after week, after week, after week. They would never do it. It would never have happened. In the church I grew up in, it would never have happened. Somebody said, You ve got to do what you ve got to do. Don t say that to me because I discern that it s not just about making a living. Come on, brother, sister. It s not just about that. It s about finding also an excuse. And I m not condemning anybody. 34 stir to come. Oh my, my, my. I don t want anything to take me away from what God s doing. I want to be able to line myself up with it. Like they used to say, Get under the spout where the glory of God is running out. A service here and there, that s between you and God. But to bind yourself to such a thing that would cause you to miss week after week, after week. And finally, it starts meeting each other. That s what s happening now it s meeting. The times that you can come and can t come are meeting one another. And people aren t able to come at all. If I don t ever say anything... Oh, I ve said some things this week to people. And now I want to say it to the Body of Christ. We need a revival. And oh, when God does it, brother. What is He waiting on? He s just waiting on us. Didn t He say last Sunday, I ve got abundance. Everything you ve got need of... that s the great encouraging part of this.. all we need, God has. You see, I live with a woman... my, it got quiet... I live with a woman, and I know how sisters battle. I know how ladies battle, and I know how it s ladies, oftentimes, who get discouraged when they see others doing all kinds of things. I know it s mostly, I think more so than not, ladies get discouraged when they see those things. And it brings them down. And, of course, it s because of love and concern and burden. 35 as mature believers... I m preaching anyway... All you people on the hookup, you thought you were going to get on to hear about the Seals. And instead, you re going to hear what the Lord had for you this morning. And that ll be all right. You know what I believe? I believe with all my heart that we ought to be mature enough in the Lord that we can carry the heaviest burden for somebody and still keep our eyes on Jesus. Oh... and I ve said this until I feel blue in the face from saying it... but all it takes is a few. It doesn t take a congregation of a hundred people to get on fire for God for revival to fall. It only takes a few sincere hearts. It only takes a few young people, a few young men, a few young ladies, or old men or old ladies who are crying out to God for the Holy Ghost, Fill me with the Holy Ghost. Lord, I want the Holy Ghost. I want the power of God in my life. I want the Seal. I want to know who I am. I want to know I belong to God. And it only takes a handful of sincere hearts like that. And I tell you, God will not turn a deaf ear. He wants you to have the Holy Ghost. He wants you to have victory. He wants you to have deliverance. He wants you to have revival more than you want it yourself. He s just waiting on you. Hallelujah. I want to tell you something my wife told me. I lost a piece of paper.
