WEDNESDAY 1 Serving In Newness Of Spirit For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter (Romans 7:5-6). ur opening scripture is part of Apostle Paul s letter Oto the church in Rome, where he admonished them to serve God in newness of spirit, and not according to the old ways of the flesh. To serve God in newness of spirit means to serve Him in your present state as one who s been recreated in righteousness and true holiness, and not according to the Law or the senses. This brings us to an understanding of what he (Paul) said in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if any man be in Christ, he s a new creation; old things the old life of the flesh and everything associated with it are now passed away, and all things have become new. Being born again, you have a newness of life; a Spirit-filled, Spirit-dominated, and Spirit-influenced life. Romans 6:6 says, Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. The old life has been crucified with Christ. You have now put on Christ (Galatians 3:27). It wasn t just a mere change that took place in you when you were born again; it was an actual spiritual rebirth. It was a translation, a replacement, or supplanting of the old life with which you were born by your parents, with the

indestructible life of God. It s a brand new life. This new life in you transcends all the distractions and debilitating influences of the earthly realm. Romans 6:4 says, Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. The expression, newness of life doesn t refer to, or suggest, a renewed life in terms of reworking or refurbishing what was there before; no. It actually means that the old life has been completely replaced by a new one that never existed before. Moreover, this new life is higher and different in quality from the human life, because it has its origin in God. Your old nature was taken away the moment you confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord, and now, you ve been raised to a newness of life, to serve God in newness of spirit. CONFESSION Dear Father, thank you for bringing me into a newness of life, a life that transcends this physical realm! I declare that the failures, defeats, and troubles associated with the old nature are passed away, and I ve put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen. 1 YEAR BIBLE John 16: Chronicles YEAR BIBLE 1 Corinthians 15:1-10 Proverbs 28 FURTHER STUDY: Ephesians 4:22-24 Colossians 3:9-10 Leave comments on today's devotional

THURSDAY 2 Appreciate Who You Are That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6). A s a new creation in Christ Jesus, you re peculiar; you re the first and the best of God s creatures: Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures (James 1:18). You re the crowning beauty, and the highest of everything God made. You re His excellently crafted masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Psalm 139:14 says you re exceptional, and wonderfully made; you re God s marvellous work of art; and the Psalmist said, My soul knows this very well! You should know it too and be conscious that you re God s best. Therefore, love and enjoy yourself. Appreciate who you are. Don t wish you were someone else. There re so many good things inside you. You re a pearl of great value. If you don t love yourself, you can t really love anyone else. Don t wait for others to compliment you; stand in front of a mirror and appreciate what God made. Compliment yourself. Affirm that you re beautiful, and then, give God praise for making you so excellent and full of glory. Look at yourself in the mirror and say, Lord, I love what you made! Understand that you exude His glory. Therefore, love Him, and love what He made YOU. Enjoy every moment of your life. Look always at the positive side of things. Appreciate good things everywhere you see them. Appreciate you, and then appreciate others around you. Challenge your mind in the positive direction of life; and you ll be amazed at the

results. You re God s number one! This is what you should say to yourself always. Never judge yourself by what people say about you; what matters is what God thinks of you. And you know what? He thinks highly of you, which is why He invested so much in you. Glory to His Name forever! PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Thank you for making me the expression of your glory and grace, and for adorning my heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit! O, what a joy to know that I m your excellently crafted masterpiece! I ll tell of your wonderful deeds and wondrous love always. 14 FRIDAY 3 He Reigns Through You For if by one man s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). ou were born, predestined, and assigned to reign in Ythis life. Revelation 5:10 says Christ has made us kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Then interestingly, in 1 Corinthians 15:25, we read that he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. Jesus isn t physically present in the earth today, yet He s reigning through those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness. The only way He reigns is when we reign through righteousness. The understanding of the doctrine of righteousness makes us masters in life. It gives you the sense of dominion, such that nothing moves you; you re in charge, and in control of circumstances. You make things happen! Righteousness is God s nature, and that nature was imparted to you when you were born again. Therefore, exercise dominion. Live as the king that you are. Don t talk as though you re of this world. Refuse to fear. Speak with authority, for all of nature is under a sovereign decree to hear and respond to you. Refuse to beg, for kings don t beg. You don t even have to beg God for anything or to do anything for you; pray in accordance with His Word and make decrees in the Name of Jesus. Dominate your environment and take charge of the circumstances of your life. Boldly affirm prosperity, divine health, and progress for you and your loved ones, and you d see them come to pass. Your words have power, for you re a king: Where the

word of a king is, there is power (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Even now, declare, I function with the Spirit of dominion! Christ reigns through me! His righteousness is expressed through me today. The world is subdued before me. Blessed be God! CONFESSION Glory to God in the highest, I ve received grace to reign and rule in life as a king. Therefore, I exercise dominion over circumstances. I manifest the glory of God and I declare prosperity, health, progress, glory, divine favours, and peace for me and my loved ones. The Word of God prevails and produces results in me today and always, in Jesus Name. Amen. 1 YEAR BIBLE John 18: Chronicles FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 28:1 Daniel 7:18 Revelation 11:15; 20:6 2 YEAR BIBLE 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 Proverbs 30 Leave comments on today's devotional

SATURDAY 4 Let Him Take Charge Of Your Life But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). here re people who, as much as they desire to serve TGod with their lives, find themselves struggling with several things that eventually get them miserable in life. The reason for this is clear: it s either they don t have the Holy Spirit, or they re not yielded to Him. If indeed they ve received Him to live in them, He s not in charge of their lives. No one can successfully live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. He s the One that brings the power of God into your life to strengthen you, and for you to live effectively as a Christian. He teaches you the Word, so you can know God s perfect will, and then guides you to live in, and fulfil, your destiny in Christ. With the Holy Spirit, your potentials are limitless. His presence in your life makes you energetic, fervent, efficient, excellent and bold. He s not a mere power or influence; He s the power of God, the active personality of the Godhead. Let Him take charge of your life, and there ll be nothing you can t do. He s the help and power you need for all things. He gives you the dynamic ability to effect changes, and the divine enablement to accomplish any task and change hopeless situations. Paul said, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). He knew that with the Holy Spirit, he had all he needed to live the transcendent life,

and gloriously fulfil his divine destiny in Christ. No wonder his submission in 2 Corinthians 3:5 AMP: Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God. Become sufficient in His sufficiency. Yield to Him to work through you, and walk in you, and your struggles will be over. When He takes charge of your life, you ll experience success, increase, progress and victories only. CONFESSION God hasn t given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind! The Lord is my help and my ability. He s my strength and my sufficiency; therefore, I can do all things by His power that works in me mightily. I m effective and effectual in the communication and expression of my faith. 18 SUNDAY 5 Follow The Word Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed (John 8:31). omeone may say, I m following Jesus Christ. But Sreally, how do you follow Jesus? You follow Him in the Word, through the Word, and by the Word. The proof that you re following Him is in doing His Word; living by the Word. He said, If you love me, keep my words (John 14:15). Jesus and the Word are one. Therefore, to love Him is to be quick to do the Word at all times. There re people who say, I ll do whatever God tells me to do, if I hear His voice. What such people don t realize is that God already said all He needed to say to His children, through the written Word the Bible. If you want to hear His voice today, study the Word. That s the voice of the Father, the voice of Jesus, and the voice of the Holy Spirit. If you don t act upon, or live by the written Word, even if God spoke to you from heaven, it won t make much difference; you still won t act. Everything He says is always consistent with the written Word, the Bible. The Bible is a compendium of His out-breathings given to us to live by: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Live by the Word, and you ll never lose your way, because the Word of God is light. The Word gives you a way of life, and the right mentality. Live a purposeful and focused life through the Word. Don t live by your imaginations, observations, assumptions or worldly wisdom; follow the Word, and you ll be a true success.

PRAYER Dear Father, your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path! I don t function with the wisdom of this world, for Christ is made unto me, wisdom. My heart is open to receive the instructions in your Word, propelling me in the direction of your will and purpose for my life, in Jesus Name. 20 MONDAY 6 Victory In The Word He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life (John 3:36). od s plan for our lives is for us to grow and make Gprogress from glory to glory. However, not many Christians have accepted this as a reality, which can either be attributed to their not-so-good experiences or to their having been wrongly taught. That s why you may find a preacher say to his congregation, I too get discouraged sometimes. One could mistake such comments for honesty and humility, but it actually shows ignorance of spiritual realities. Some people, however, like hearing such things, and even speak against ministers who, according to them, pretend as though everything is always all right. It s not pretense; that s the reality. Everything is always all right, because we re in charge and in control. We own, and dominate this world. Jesus made it so for us. Hallelujah. When you find people in whose lives God s Word isn t real, they think that everyone else experiences the same thing. But it s not so. Your experience, good or bad, doesn t negate or nullify the truth and power of God s Word. The very statement, I get discouraged sometimes, is a traumatic affirmation; it s defeatist, because one vital thing God requires of us is courage. He admonishes us copiously in the Scriptures never to be discouraged. To get discouraged means you trusted in your own ability, and not in the Lord. It means you allowed your feelings to dictate the circumstances of your existence. When you believe God s Word, it doesn t mean your faith won t be tested, but that s where you prove that what you ve come to believe is real.

Believing is a process of possession. When you believe, that thing you believe settles in your spirit. It then moves from something you believe in, to something you know; something you possess. At that point, it can never be taken away from you, because the believer is a haver : He that believeth hath (John 3:36). Never be discouraged. Even in the face of daunting challenges, maintain your confession; stand your ground. Apply the same principles in your health, finances, academics, family, etc. CONFESSION I am who God says I am and I can do what He says I can do. I m strong in faith at all times, with my face set before the Lord, who indeed, is my strong tower and refuge; my God in whom I eternally trust. 1 YEAR BIBLE John 20: Chronicles FURTHER STUDY: 2 Corinthians 2:14 1 Corinthians 15:57 Isaiah 55: YEAR BIBLE 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 Ecclesiastes 3-4 Leave comments on today's devotional

TUESDAY 7 Think Beyond Yourself Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). ur opening verse shows that there s power Oworking in us; power from within. It s the power of the Holy Spirit. You can make that power work for you every time. The onus is on you to put it to work, for it s in your spirit. 2 Timothy 1:6 says,...stir up the gift of God, which is in thee... We see a demonstration or release of this kind of power from the Master Himself in Matthew chapter fourteen. A great multitude had thronged Him, and He was moved with compassion towards them, and He ministered to them and healed many who were sick and afflicted. However, when it was evening, His disciples suggested He dismiss the crowd:...it is already very late, and this is a lonely place. Send the people away and let them go to the villages to buy food for themselves (Matthew 14:15 GNB), they urged Him. Now, something remarkable happened. Instead of sending the people away, Jesus commanded them to sit on the grass, and took five loaves of bread and two fishes, blessed them, broke them and gave them to His disciples to feed the multitude. He put the power in Him in use, to bless others. Always, you must think beyond yourself. If you re only concerned about yourself, and all you want is to please yourself, the power in you may never work. God s power is given to you for the Kingdom of God, for you to be a blessing to your world. You re the vent of God s glory and power, His outstretched hands of blessing to your world; never forget it.

You ll discover greater treasures the Lord has deposited in you as you reach out to help others. Understand your calling as a conduit of divine blessings. That s what brings real joy and fulfilment thinking beyond yourself to impact the lives of others positively. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for making me a conduit of divine blessings. You ve blessed me and made me a vent for your grace, mercies, wisdom, glory and power, to the praise of your majesty. Your light shines through me today, ever so brightly, and your power is manifest to bring succour, delight, and joy to many in my world today, in Jesus Name. 26 WEDNESDAY 8 Our Calling To God s Kingdom And Glory That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory (1 Thessalonians 2:12). T he statement, Thy kingdom come... in Matthew 6:10 were the words of the Lord Jesus, in giving His disciples a format for prayer. That prayer has however been answered, for the Kingdom of God has come. It s a real kingdom operating now on earth, and we re a part of it: But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22). We re not on our way to Zion; we re there now. The Bible says the Father hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:13). We ve been called into the Kingdom of God, but according to our opening verse, our calling isn t only about the Kingdom. We ve been called unto His glory! These two aren t separate: if we answered the calling for the Kingdom, we ve answered the calling for the glory: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:14). You were called to obtain glory. Hallelujah. This glory is an eternal one, meaning that difficult times may come, but they don t suggest in any way, the termination of your glory. That a Christian lost his job, for instance, doesn t mean he s out of the glory. This glory is eternal: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you (1 Peter 5:10). Blessed be God! God s desire is for the good news about His Kingdom

to have free course and be glorified, not only in you, but also in your town, city, and country: Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you (2 Thessalonians 3:1). Give expression to His glory in your world. Spread the good news of Christ s salvation. Let the world know that salvation in Christ Jesus is a calling to God s Kingdom of glory, excellence, dominion and power. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the calling I have in you: a calling to your Kingdom and to eternal glory. I walk in the consciousness and reality of my present-hour location in Christ, and His glory within me. I manifest this glory to the praise of your Majesty, in Jesus Name. 28 THURSDAY 9 The Word Is Your Reflection But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22). he Word of God is for us to live by; it s for doing; it s Tfor us to live out. But some Christians are trying to obey the Word, and that s where their problem is, because the Word isn t for us to obey. In the Old Testament, God gave the children of Israel laws, commandments to obey, but they failed. So, He changed the order. He said,...i will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people (Jeremiah 31:33). As a result, in the New Testament, you re not called to obey the Word, because you re born of the Word; you re one with the Word. The Word of God is your reflection, a mirror that shows you who you are, so that you can know and act accordingly. We hear, study, understand, and meditate on the Word, to act accordingly. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image. When you look into the Word, you see yourself. The Word mirrors you. For example, the Word says, For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21). That s not for you to obey ; it s simply showing you who you are: the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. It therefore makes no difference that your senses tell you otherwise; God already showed you who you are; act accordingly. That s doing the Word: accepting, and endorsing God s image of you, and walking in that light. When you look in the mirror of God, which is the Word, you see the glory of God, and that s you! The more

you look into the Word, the more you become what you see in the Word; a transformation takes place in your life, from glory to glory. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the impact of your Word in my life. Your Word is the reflection of your immense glory deposited in my spirit. As I look into that mirror, I m transformed into the same image that I see, from glory to glory, by your Spirit, in Jesus Name. 30 FRIDAY 10 Bearers Of His Divine Message For the priest s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts (Malachi 2:7). n Christ, we ve been made kings and priests unto IGod (Revelation 1:6). Thus, we have a ministry in Christ as king-priests of God. The priest s tongue should keep knowledge. That means your lips should flow with the knowledge of God, to teach others the ways and life of Christ. The Living Bible Translation renders the latter part of our opening verse thus: The priests are the messengers of the Lord Almighty, and men should come to them for guidance. 1 Peter 4:11 says, If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. If anyone wants to know something about God, they should come to you. They should find the Word of God and the knowledge of the Lord in your mouth. You should be a custodian of divine knowledge and of kingdom information. The Bible says God spreads the beautiful and pleasant fragrance of His knowledge through us, in every place: Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14). It s our ministry, calling, and responsibility to make the Word known to the world. So, keep teaching the Word. Jesus sent us to the whole world, to make pupils of the nations, to teach them everything about the God-life (Matthew 28:18-20). Go into the malls, the shops, the

marketplaces, your neighbourhood, estate, place of work; everywhere, and teach the people how to live for God. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for making me the bearer of your divine message; a minister of reconciliation. I take the message of Christ s salvation to my world, making known the mysteries of your glorious kingdom, touching lives, and bringing the oppressed out of bondage and darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus Name. 32 SATURDAY 11 Jesus: The Outward Expression Of The Father Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature (Colossians 1:15). he Lord Jesus is the visible, physical representation Tof God, the very image of God. He said in John 14:9, he that hath seen me hath seen the Father. God is invisible; you can t see Him with your optical eyes; so Jesus came as the outward expression of the invisible God. Colossians 2:9 says, For in him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus represented God to the whole world when He walked the earth. Whatever men required from God was embodied in Jesus. When you saw Jesus, you saw God. Colossians 1:16-17 tells us that by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Jesus holds all things together by the Word of His power. God appointed Jesus to be the heir of all things, including His throne. In heaven, there s a great white throne, and Jesus is the one sitting on that throne. Where then is the Father? He s in Jesus! The Bible says it pleased the Father, that in Him (Jesus) should all fullness dwell (Colossians 1:19). It gives us an understanding of what Jesus said in John 10:30; He said, I and my Father are one. When He said this, the Jews wanted to stone Him to death, because they said He made Himself equal with God: The Jews answered

him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God (John 10:33). They understood exactly what Jesus meant when He said, I and my Father are one, but they considered His words blasphemous because they didn t know Him. Jesus is one with the Father; He s the complete embodiment of Deity. He s the expression of God s glory, crowned with all honour and majesty. When you see Jesus, you won t need to look for the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the perfect image and embodiment of the Godhead. CONFESSION I m the embodiment of Christ, the effulgence of His glory and the express image of His person, because as Jesus is, so am I; I m one with Him! In Him I live, and move and have my being. 34 SUNDAY 12 Watch Your Heart But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). n a certain day, Samuel the prophet went to the Ohouse of Jesse to anoint one of the sons of Jesse to become king of Israel. As soon as Samuel saw Eliab, Jesse s first son, he said, Behold the Lord s anointed is before Him, and wanted to anoint Eliab to be the king. But God stopped Samuel and said, I have refused him. God didn t say, I have not chosen him ; if He had said so, that would have been rather okay, because He had the right to choose whomever He wanted to be king. However, He said, I have rejected him, meaning that He considered Eliab and found him unsuitable. God must have seen something in his heart that made him unfit to be king; none of his other brothers were chosen either. David, who at the time was tending his father s sheep, was then sent for, and as soon as he arrived, God said, Samuel, get up and anoint him, this is he (1 Samuel 16:6-12). What did God see in David? Why did God want him? The answer is in God s remarkable testimony of David in Acts 13:22. He said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. David was a man whose heart was after God. Some of his actions may not have been perfect, but his heart was perfect towards God. Your heart is so important to God; that s where He seeks to work. He said, My son, give me thine heart and

let thine eyes observe my ways (Proverbs 23:26). You must watch your heart, and serve God with a perfect heart. A perfect heart is one that seeks after God, and wants to please Him always; a heart that s after His Word. Your attitude to God and to service in His Kingdom must be inspired by, and reflect His love. Examine yourself with the Word continually, and be sure there s no root of bitterness, malice or anger in your heart. PRAYER Thank you Lord, for giving me your Word. Your Word is the truth that sanctifies my heart and makes it perfect towards you. As I meditate and declare your Word, it builds my character, and my life is transformed from glory to glory, in Jesus Name. 36 MONDAY 13 Bless Your World With The Anointing But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you (1 John 2:27). A cts 19:12 tells us that handkerchiefs and aprons were taken from Paul to the sick: and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. This is just wonderful! The handkerchiefs, of course, had no intelligence whatsoever, but they contained the power of God. Paul transferred the anointing of the Spirit to the handkerchiefs, and when the handkerchiefs made contact with the sick, healings took place; demons checked out. If handkerchiefs that had no intelligence could contain the power of God, how much more could you? Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, meaning that you re a God-carrying vessel. You embody the very power of the Spirit. Be conscious of it. With this power, you can accomplish tasks that are humanly impossible. You have to acknowledge that the anointing is in you. The Bible says, That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6). Get to know who you are; you re a supernatural being. No devil, sickness, or disease can stay in your body. The Bible says, nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19)....Greater is He that s in you than he that s in the world (1 John 4:4). With you, anything is possible (Mark 9:23). You re full of power. Reach out and bless your world with the power of the Holy Spirit: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,

cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8). PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the Word of your grace which builds me up and fills my heart with divine treasures, causing me to bring forth fruit unto righteousness. I declare that the Holy Spirit is working in, and through, me today; I manifest your glory, and bless my world with your divine presence that I carry, in Jesus Name. 38 TUESDAY 14 Equipped For The Mandate For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established (Romans 1:11). H osea 12:13 tells us that by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. Notice, He didn t say, by an angel, but by a prophet. God preserves or establishes His people through His servants; His chosen and anointed ministers. He equips them and sends them to those He wants to bless. Ephesians 4:11-12 says, And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. This lets us know why Paul could affirm boldly in his letter to the believers in Rome, I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift to the end ye may be established (Romans 1:11). He knew he was a custodian of divine verities; he knew he had something to give. One of the reasons there re weak Christians today is that they never received any spiritual impartation. Read again, the reason Paul said he wanted to impart some spiritual gifts to the brethren in Rome; it was so they might be established. Through the ministry of the Word, and impartation of the Spirit, God s people are strengthened and established on the truth. 1 Corinthians 4:20 says, For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. The Gospel is more than mere words; its power must be demonstrated. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:4, And my speech and my preaching was not

with enticing words of man s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. So, as Christians, and as ministers of the Gospel, we have something with which to bless and transform our world. We re dispensers of God s blessings. God has endowed you with grace and special abilities according to His own will, and according to His calling on your life. He s equipped you for what He called you to do. You have what it takes. Therefore, do something with what you have. 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, But we have this treasure in earthen vessels. Do something with the anointing; in ministering to others, do so in the power of the Holy Ghost! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for giving me a perfect heart that responds to your Word. As I receive your Word, my heart is imparted with spiritual gifts and I m duly equipped to do great exploits through the Gospel of Christ, to your praise and glory, in Jesus Name. 42 WEDNESDAY 15 The Church Is Marching On And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). ver the years, the Church of Jesus Christ has Ocontinued to wax stronger and stronger, marching on in glory, regardless of the many persecutions and oppositions orchestrated against it by the adversary. The Church has remained unstoppable to this day, and will remain so for all time, because the Lord meant it when He said, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). The word Gates is symbolic in prophetic language for power and dominion. So, the powers of hell, the dominion of hell, shall not, and cannot prevail against the Church. It doesn t matter what they do. The Church, right from inception, has survived and endured many terrible persecutions. There have been kings who threatened to annihilate the Church. Some even boasted that when they were through with the Church, history would not remember that it ever existed. But the Church has out-lived them all. The Church will always have the victory. It ll crush every opposition, and conquer everyone who ever stands against it. That s the blessing upon the Church. The Lord Jesus said to Saul of Tarsus when he was persecuting the Church, it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (Acts 26:14). Then, in Luke 20:18, He said, Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. The Church of Jesus Christ isn t a human organization; it is, in fact, a living thing, and it s indestructible. It doesn t

matter the onslaught of evil and wickedness against the Church from Satan and wicked and unreasonable men, nothing can stall or hinder the growth and impact of the Church around the world. There isn t enough fear, unbelief, doubt, or persecutions that can prevail against the Church. Being born again, you belong to the Church, and you re indestructible. Victory is yours, no matter what happens with you. You may be in the deepest dungeon even now; right there, declare, Greater is He that s in me than he that s in the world. The Word is guaranteed to put you over and bring you out in victory. Hallelujah! CONFESSION I belong to Christ; in Him I live, and move and have my being. No evil shall befall me; neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. I m strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and any tongue that rises against me in judgment is condemned, in Jesus Name. 44 THURSDAY 16 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19). I We re God s Habitation Through The Spirit n Exodus 25:8, God expressed His desire to dwell in the midst of His people. He said, let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. Notice He didn t say, that I may visit them, no; not a visit. He said, that I may dwell among them. Moses implemented God s instruction. He rallied the children of Israel, to bring all the necessary offerings, and they built a beautiful sanctuary in accordance with the pattern and plan that God gave to Moses. However, that wasn t good enough. God wanted a new sanctuary and showed David a vision of the new sanctuary; He gave him every detail of what it should be like. David was excited, and laid down a lot of gold and silver for the building of the temple. Nevertheless, it was Solomon, David s son, who was approved of God to build the temple, and he built for God a magnificent temple. The Bible says, Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet (Acts 7:48). Then Jesus came on the scene and said, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). The word translated Church means Assembly or Congregation of the called out ones. It s therefore not a physical building, but a living tabernacle of human beings.

Let s read Ephesians 2:19-22 NIV. It says, Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. We re God s habitation through the Spirit! His vision to dwell in the midst of His people has been realized in us, the Church. Each one of us is a temple of the Holy Spirit. He lives and walks in us (2 Corinthians 6:16). You re God s holy temple (1 Corinthians 3:16); this, the Bible says, is the mystery that was hidden from ages and generations, which has now been made manifest. The mystery is, Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:26-27). Hallelujah! PRAYER Precious Father, I worship and adore you; thank you for making me your dwelling place. I acknowledge your Spirit living in me, protecting, guiding, and leading me in your perfect will. Thank you for beautifying my life with the glory of your presence, in Jesus Name. 58 FRIDAY 17 He Went In Your Place And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (Colossians 1:18). he phrase in the theme verse, the firstborn from the Tdead, doesn t mean the first to be raised from the dead. Prior to Jesus vicarious death, there were those who had been raised from the dead; so what the Apostle Paul communicates by the Spirit here, is different. When our sins were laid on Jesus on the cross, He died spiritually. Spiritual death is separation from God. Only through a spiritual rebirth does one awake from this death. Jesus Christ was the first born from spiritual death. As Jesus hung on the cross, He suffered the agony of being separated from the Father: And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Mark 15:34). This was a result of His being made the sin sacrifice, which automatically identified with sin: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21). It should have been illegal for Jesus to be crucified and sent to hell, because He was innocent and without sin, but He went in our place. Recall the graphic details in Colossians 2:15 when He engaged Satan in that awful combat in hell, and defeated him and all the cohorts of darkness: And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. No one ever came out of spiritual death or out of Satan s bondage, but Jesus did. He paid the full penalty for every man.

Thus, because a righteous man was given for sinners, it became legal, and possible, for sinners to be given His righteousness. He took our place of sin, that we might obtain His righteousness. Now, you re as righteous as Jesus is! He s made you the very expression of His righteousness. The righteousness that He was clothed with was made available to you, because He died for you, and when He came out of death, you came out in and with Him. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus, who became the very representation of sin on my behalf, and died in my place, so that I might be made righteous, and also be the expression of your righteousness. I walk in, and manifest, your righteousness today and always, in Jesus Name. 60 SATURDAY 18 Don t Neglect The Word Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life (Proverbs 4:13). magine that you re a student, and prior to your Iexams, your teacher gives you all the relevant textbooks and materials to study, points out the very chapters you should focus on, and even the questions to expect. What do you think of the student who says, I really want to pass this exam, but I don t have enough time to study? He has set himself up for failure. Likewise, in Christianity, we re in life s exam; the Holy Spirit, our Teacher, has given us the Word, and He s shown us how to use it. He s told us that every problem that s going to be solved, and every question that ll be answered, is in the Word. Nothing outside it is coming your way; therefore, study it, understand it, live by it, and you ll be a success. However, if someone says, I want to please God, and do His will. I want to be everything He destined me to be, but my problem is that I really don t have the time to study the Bible. That s like the student we described earlier. Only one outcome can result from such an attitude: failure. You must study and give the Word of God attention in your life. How would you please Him, and be a success in life, if you aren t acquainted with His Word? The Word of God is God s instruction manual for an extraordinary life of glory. It s the only dependable material to build you up, and sustain you in the transcendent life. So, don t neglect the Word. The best way to serve God, and be an extraordinary success in life, is to function in, and live according to His Word. Jesus said, he that sent me is with me: the Father

hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him (John 8:29). If you ll diligently and meditatively study the Word, you ll know the mind of the Father; His heart will be unveiled to you, and by walking in His light, you can always please Him. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the transforming power of your Word in my life. As I study your Word, my mind is renewed; I m transformed and transfigured, positioned in your glory. 62 SUNDAY 19 Step Out Of The Boat And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:29). n Matthew 14, Jesus walked on water and showed us Isomething remarkable about the life of faith; the life of the Spirit we ve been called to live. When His disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were scared, thinking He was a ghost. However, Jesus allayed their fears and said, it is I; be not afraid (Matthew 14:27). When Peter heard the Master s voice, he spoke up, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water (Matthew 14:28). Jesus obliged and said, Come. Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water to meet Jesus. Shortly afterwards, Peter began to drown in the water when he saw the raging tempest; fear gripped his heart and that dissipated his faith. Walking on the water is a life of the Spirit where you don t consider anything else but God s Word. It s when you come out of that comfort zone and security of the boat, and take your steps on the basis of God s Word. Many, instead of launching out in faith, have chosen to remain in the boat like the other disciples. Imagine how glorious it would have been if all the disciples stepped out in faith and got on the water, when the Master said, Come! Be quick and bold to act your faith. There s so much more for you to enjoy in God. Don t stay at the same level; grow your faith. Use and exercise your faith. The moment you take your step of faith in whatever God has asked you to do, refuse to be distracted; set your gaze on Jesus. Peter stepped out of the boat in faith, and walked on water. However,

immediately he took his gaze off the Master, he began to sink. Hebrews 12:2 says, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. This means to turn away from everything else, and fix your gaze on Jesus. Consciously look away from all the troubles and limitations, and fix your gaze on the realities in His Word. Refuse to consider or be influenced by adverse circumstances; stay focused on the Word. Shut the world out, and see nothing but God. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the blessing of acting on your Word. I make progress by the Word today, confident in its ability to put me over and cause me to excel in all I do. 64 MONDAY 20 Success Without Struggle There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his (Hebrews 4:9-10). N otice the underlined phrase above: For he that is entered into his rest. That rest, is the rest in Christ; it s much more than the rest for the physical body. It s rest for your soul, where you don t struggle or toil for anything whatsoever. As a new creation, everything required for your success, prosperity, victory, health and greatness has been made available in Christ. So, you don t have to struggle in life anymore, for you ve entered God s rest. There re many who haven t realized this truth, and therefore, can t walk in the vantage position of rest. In their jobs, businesses, projects, or even their evangelical responsibilities, they labour, toil, and struggle. But Christ is our rest. Our struggling doesn t please God. That s why the Holy Spirit was sent to help us. John 14:16 (AMP) says, And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever. He s here today, and now; He s your Helper. We re living in the day of rest, ruling, and reigning with the King, seated together with Him in heavenly places: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). Notice that scripture doesn t say We ve been made to stand together in heavenly places, no! We re seated with Him; and that s not the position of hardship, struggle, or labour; it s a position of

rest. The work has been done in Christ Jesus; now He says, Enjoy all things. Live in my rest, for all things are yours. Even your evangelical work shouldn t be a struggle. Recognize this truth, and with that consciousness, preach and teach the Word; the power of the Spirit will be in it and convict or stir your hearers. It s part of your blessing as the seed of Abraham, to excel and make progress in life, from glory to glory, without struggling. CONFESSION I m a new creation in Christ, the seed of Abraham, and an heir according to the promise. I live perpetually in the rest of God, for Christ is my Sabbath. Now and always, I walk in His glory, for I ve been ordained to excel, win, and make progress from glory to glory, without struggles or anxieties. 66 TUESDAY 21 Train Them With The Word Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). t s the responsibility of parents to train up their kids in Ithe way of the Lord. That s what the Word says: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Some parents would say, We try not to impose anything on our children; we just let them make their decisions themselves. What an error! The Bible says, Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him (Proverbs 22:15). Children aren t allowed to make their own decisions; they need to be trained and guided. Parents have a responsibility to know through the Spirit of God, what their children should be, and raise them in that direction. Some parents act as though God said, Leave the children to me, and I ll determine how they ll grow up ; He didn t say that. Rather, He said parents should train up the child in the way he should go. If you already have children, let the Holy Spirit guide you in bringing them up in righteousness. Keep training them in the Word. Even when it looks as though they re not imbibing the culture of the Word, keep at it, and don t despair. Give some time; the results of the training will be evident. Soon enough, they ll come into the right place, and be all that God destined for them to be. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you, for your Word has in it, the ability to make me what it talks about, and

WEDNESDAY 22 Grace And Peace In Increasing Measure Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord (2 Peter 1:2). rom the verse of scripture above, we can Funderstand that the way to have grace and peace multiplied in your life is through the knowledge (Greek: epignosis ) of God, and of Jesus, our Lord. Someone may lament, Please pray for me; my life is in a mess. I don t have peace at home; I don t have peace where I work. There s no peace in my heart; I really need prayers. You may pray for such a person, but it might not work, because the Word is clear as to how to enjoy greater peace in your life: It s through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus, our Lord. God wants you to know, and live by His Word, because the more you know Him, the more grace and peace you stand to enjoy in your life. Moreover, peace here, isn t just referring to ordinary peace of being quiet or mere solitude. The Greek word for peace is eirene, which is akin to the Hebrew, shalom, which means peace with rest and prosperity put together. In other words, through the knowledge of God, you re at home with prosperity! Everything about your life works out right. You re not fretful or agitated over anything! Irrespective of what happens, you re unperturbed, you re in charge, and in control. As you learn more about Jesus and meditate on His Word; as you learn about the Father through fellowship, more revelations will come to you. The knowledge of His Word

makes us masters, causing your life to be filled with immeasurable grace and peace. Notice the Bible doesn t say, Grace and peace shall be added unto you, but that they ll be multiplied unto you. In your life, it s possible to keep heaping up grace and peace in increasing measure. John 1:16 says of His fullness have we all received, grace heaped upon grace. So, enjoy grace and peace in your life, by increasing your knowledge of Him. Praise God! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the guidance and wisdom received in your Word. As I open my spirit to your Word today, grace and peace are multiplied in my life; my heart is garrisoned with divine wisdom, and fortified to prevail over circumstances. I transcend every pressure, and anxiety, because I have peace with prosperity, in Jesus Name. 72 THURSDAY 23 Training For Mastery I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). o be a good leader, a successful leader, you have to Tbe well trained. And training isn t just a onetime thing; it s a continuous exercise, and the aim of every training is to attain mastery or perfection. Some people believe that as long as they re in the earth, they ll just keep learning, without attaining mastery. That s not what the Word teaches. The Bible talks about people who are ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7). That s not a recommendation. There s a place of mastery that every Christian should desire to attain. There re certain things you must perfect before God can permit you to move to higher things in the spirit-realm. And that s why you have to be trained in the Word. In Ephesians 4:11-12, the Apostle Paul lists for us the purpose of the fivefold ministry gifts, which the Lord Jesus gave to the Church; it s for the training or perfecting of the saints. It s so we can attain mastery: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints. Don t live a life that s always on a journey, in pursuit of the same things, on the same level for years. There re certain things that you should perfect, and when you do, move to the next level; move to something higher. Success is measured at different levels. As you re being trained, you can tell whether or not you re successful by the results you produce on the basis of your current level of training. The more yielded you are to the Holy Spirit and the

Word of God, the faster the process of your training, and the sooner you attain mastery at that level and area of training. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the ministry gifts to the body of Christ, that the Church may be taught, trained, perfected and energized for the work of the ministry. I take advantage of the Word and the blessings of the Spirit, through which I m trained for a continuous life of victory, success, promotion and greatness, in Jesus Name. 74 FRIDAY 24 Make Your Salvation Effective Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). lady was diagnosed with breast cancer, and asked Athat I pray for her. But I told her she could work out her salvation by using her mouth to cut out the cancerous growth. I explained to her what the mouth is: the front or edge of a weapon ; the Greek word is stoma. She was excited, and immediately got to work. She spoke consistently to the growth, in faith, over a period. When I saw her six months later, she was completely healed; the cancer had dematerialized and she was perfectly normal. She worked out her salvation. If you re sick, broken or afflicted in your body, and you desire to be well, put your faith to work. Work the Word. The Word of God is for doing; you work it out. As long as it remains in the pages of the Bible, it won t produce results for you. But when through meditation, you utter the Word, it becomes the sword of the Spirit that discomfits the adversary. The blessings are already packaged and delivered to you; the Bible says, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). God already did everything He needed to do for you to have and enjoy a glorious life. However, you have a responsibility to work out your own salvation in Christ. You re the one to ensure that all the wonderful blessings of God manifest in your life. Don t sit and expect that whatever will be, will be; you re the one to make your

salvation work. Christ already saved you, but it s your responsibility now to make the Kingdom work in your life. Work out your healing, prosperity, victory, promotion etc. Refuse to allow sickness lord it over you. In spite of inflation and economic meltdown, declare your prosperity without wavering. CONFESSION Dear Father, thank you for the salvation you ve given me in Christ. I reign and rule by the Word of God, and power of the Holy Spirit, over sickness, disease, and circumstances. Without fear or reproach, but with full assurance in the Word, I launch out today in faith, establishing the blessings and goodness of the Kingdom in my life, in Jesus Name. 76 SATURDAY 25 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things (Genesis 24:1). G Graced For Greatness od blessed Abraham in all things and made him the father of many nations: As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations (Genesis 17:4). Thus, he had nations inside him. The story of Isaac, his son, is remarkable too. When his two sons, Jacob and Esau, were conceived, the Lord told Rebekah, their mother,...two nations are in thy womb (Genesis 25:23); and those nations produced more nations. However, they weren t the ones that God had in mind. In Romans 9:7, God didn t say, Isaac shall thy seed be called ; rather, He said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. This means He wasn t referring to the biological descendants of Abraham, but the Christ: Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ (Galatians 3:16). Then, Galatians 3:29 tells us, if ye be Christ s, then are ye Abraham s seed, and heirs according to the promise. We re the seed of Abraham, and each one of us has the potential of a multitude. You carry the seed of greatness. Your progress and prosperity should be ever-increasing. Read about Isaac; the Bible says, the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great (Genesis 26:13). If you were a Pastor for example, and you had a thousand members in your congregation, as the seed of Abraham there s no reason those one thousand members shouldn t grow to become five thousand or even ten

thousand within a specified period. You have the grace and ability for growth, increase, and expansion. You re graced for greatness; anointed to be fruitful and productive in every good work. Therefore, keep making progress from glory to glory. CONFESSION I belong to Christ; therefore, I m the seed of Abraham, graced for greatness, and anointed to be fruitful and productive in every good work. I ve been ordained to prosper, and to live in your glory. I bring honour to you today, and always, in Jesus Name. 78 SUNDAY 26 He s The Master Communicator For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man (Job 33:14-17). ur God is a master communicator. He s not Oconstrained by the factors that limit human communication. While you re talking to Him with your mouth, He can be talking to your spirit; having a conversation with you. Even when you re talking to people, He can be having a conversation with your spirit. He can ask you a question and you can answer Him, even while you re talking to others. As the opening verses show, the Lord even speaks to men in sleep. There re no restrictions to Him. He constantly sends His words to men in various ways, but many take no notice or pay attention, and pay the heavy price for ignorance, disobedience or rebellion. Sometimes, when we deliver a prophecy or message of revelation for several minutes or even longer in church, some people wonder how long it took God to tell us those things. Were you listening to God for that whole hour? they ask; trying to find out how long it took God to give His message. He could take a whole lot of time to communicate something very brief, and He could impart so much into your spirit in a short space of time. We consider time because we live in the realm of time, but God doesn t live in the realm of time. He lives in eternity.

When you talk with Him, your spirit is open to hear and receive from Him. He ministers to you in the spirit, and you receive what He shares with you in the spirit, and can communicate back to Him. It s a spirit-to-spirit communication. What a glorious fellowship! That s why it s so important that you pray from your spirit, speaking fervently in other tongues, and get your spirit lit up and alive to God. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the ability to hear and recognize your voice. I walk in the spirit, and not in the flesh. Therefore, my spirit is constantly trained by your Word to hear and discern your voice, as you lead me in perpetual triumph, in Jesus Name. Amen. 1 YEAR BIBLE Acts 12:1-25 Nehemiah 4-6 FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 20:27 Isaiah 30:21 John 10:27 2 YEAR BIBLE 2 Corinthians 9:1-10 Isaiah 14 Leave comments on today's devotional

MONDAY 27 Love-power: The Greatest Force In The Universe And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19). ove is the greatest power in the world. It s the Lgreatest force in the universe. The Bible says God is love (1 John 4:8). Love raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Love can bring forth anything you require for your life. Even now, the love-power of God is present, but until you know the love of God, you can t know its power. Some people don t experience the love of God because they re not certain that God loves them personally. A simple test can help you find out. Ask yourself, Do I love God? If your answer is yes, then ask yourself another question: Is God as good as I am? If again, your answer is yes, then it means He ll definitely love you, at the very least, as much as you love Him. But God isn t only as good as you are; He s better. His love for you is unfathomable, unconditional, pure and eternal. He loves you more than you could ever love yourself. In fact, you could never have loved Him if you didn t learn of His love. That s why John the Apostle declared, We love him, because he first loved us (1 John 4:19). Jeremiah 31:3 also says, The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Our opening verse says, And to know the love of Christ that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19). God s purpose for our lives is to be filled with His fullness, to be overflowing in His love, manifesting

His life, nature, character and power. That s what the Lord Jesus was talking about when He cried out in the temple, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). His love-power flows from us to the world (Romans 5:5). It s a fire that can t be quenched (Song of Songs 8:7), an overcoming power that crushes fear (1 John 4:18) and every evil work. Walk in the fullness of this love-power. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for granting me revelation knowledge of the dimensions of your love; the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, thereby filling me with your fullness. I m rooted and grounded in love, and my heart overflows with the love of Christ. I manifest and radiate your glory to my world today, in Jesus Name. 82 TUESDAY 28 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ s sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:31-32). I Cut Out All Evil n Deuteronomy 10:16, the Bible tells us to circumcise our hearts: Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. What does this mean? To circumcise means to cut out something. To circumcise your heart would therefore mean to cut out from your heart those things that aren t supposed to be there: bitterness, anger, envy, hatred, malice, and all forms of wickedness. Some people unwittingly allow these things in their hearts because they re ignorant of the consequences. A bitter heart, for instance, is a breeding ground for demonic activity. Not only that, most cancers come from anger and bitterness. Proverbs 14:30 says, A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones (NLT). People only become aware of cancer when it starts giving pain and discomfort; they don t know it most likely started years before, when they allowed bitterness, anger, hatred, malice, and envy to persist in their lives. That s why the Bible says, Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled (Hebrews 12:14-15). There re people who have been wounded to the point of tears, and with bitterness in their hearts, acted in a wrathful

way. The Lord says to you today, Circumcise your heart! Cut out the bitterness and the anger from your heart, for your own good. Have you been trying to stop the anger, or trying to put away bitterness without success? You don t have to struggle. All you have to do is proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life: over your spirit, soul and body. Then declare, I choose to serve the Lord; I reject hatred, bitterness and anger. I m going to walk in love. No demon of darkness can stand against that. Satan can t resist the power of love. The Word declares, There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear... (1 John 4:18). PRAYER Dear Father, my heart is full of your love, kindness, and compassion. I refuse to allow bitterness, anger, or strife to take root in me. I walk in love today and always, confident that no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper, in Jesus Name. 86 WEDNESDAY 29 Called To Minister Life And Grace Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). s Christians, we have the Spirit of Christ. We re the Alight of the world. We re to live, love, talk, and conduct all our affairs in life like Him. Your words should minister grace to the hearers always. Some people, aren t conscious of this reality. They re controlled by their senses: they do the things they want to do and say what they want to say according to their feelings. Such people pride themselves in having terrible, abusive, and insulting words. When they re angry, they don t hesitate to speak words that could make the hearers lose sleep. They re proud of what they should be ashamed of. The Bible says of them, their God is their appetite. If only they knew the dire consequences of their actions. Philippians 3:18-19 says, For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. Never be happy that you made someone else sad. Don t be like the man who was happy to talk the usher down just because the usher asked him to sit somewhere in church. That s inconsistent with your nature of love. The Bible says, Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6 NIV). We re ministers of the Gospel, called to minister life and grace. Be like Jesus of whom the Bible

says, And the common people heard him gladly... (Mark 12:37). When people hear from us, they should be glad, because we minister gracious words to them; words of life. Glory to God! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that fills my heart with good, excellent, edifying, and uplifting thoughts. 88 THURSDAY 30 Carriers Of His Grace, Power And Glory So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19:12). he Bible talks about handkerchiefs and aprons, Ttaken from the Apostle Paul and placed on people who were sick and diseased in their bodies, and miracles took place. The handkerchiefs contained the power of God, and the moment they made contact with a need, the power was activated. The handkerchiefs and aprons were inanimate; they had no intelligence, but they transmitted the power of God. If such inanimate materials could contain and transmit the power of God, how much more the human body! You re better than an handkerchief. Being born again and having received the Holy Spirit, there s an anointing on your life. You re not an ordinary being. You re a God-carrier; the dispenser of His grace, power, and glory. God seeks to manifest His glory and power, and establish His righteousness in the earth, through you. His anointing is in you (1 John 2:27). Stir up that anointing always. How do you stir up the anointing? It s by getting yourself filled again and again with the Spirit. The Bible says, And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:18-19). Speak, sing, and make melody of the Word to yourself continually; it s something you have to do consciously to maintain the glow of the Spirit and experience His manifestations in your life always.

You could be evangelizing in a commuter train or bus, or at the mall or in the street, and all those listening to you would be electrified by the Spirit: While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word (Acts 10:44). This is the day of God s power; therefore, be bold to do the Word. Get in the flow of God s Spirit. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the anointing of your Spirit in my life. I m a carrier of your grace, power and glory. I m your extension today, and through me, you carry out your divine purpose in this world to touch, bless, heal, uplift, strengthen, and inspire others, in Jesus Name. 92 A Life Of Purpose Through The Messenger Angel As a young man, I was totally consumed with immorality; I was given to adultery, homosexuality, drinking, and fighting for the right of same-sex marriage. I thought that was the solution. Then I was introduced to Pastor Chris teachings, and Rhapsody of Realities and my life was totally transformed by the Word of God. When I was out there, I was looking for something that I thought the world was going to cherish, but Rhapsody of Realities has taught me that I have a life; a life of purpose! The Transforming Power Of The Word! -A. Ranawai; Fiji Islands In the month of April 2014, I came in contact with a copy of Rhapsody of Realities. From that day, I began to see insights into spiritual realities that I never thought existed. And when I shared the message contained in it with my congregation, it totally transformed my ministry altogether. The people in my community have come to the knowledge of God s Word through this devotional. Thank you Pastor Chris for this inspiring daily devotional. -M. Tupus; Papua New Guinea A Deeper Understanding Of The Word Rhapsody of Realities has changed my life completely. Not only has it given me a deeper understanding of the Word, it has also stirred up a hunger for the Word of God in me. For more than 25 years, I was sick in my body, and Satan told me that I will die of the sickness. But the first day I came in contact with Rhapsody of Realities, I was completely healed. On that particular day, the presence of God was all over me and I knew that God was with me from that time till today. I must thank Pastor Chris for this book that has given me a new lease of life. -M. Namiga; Fiji Islands
