2 FRUIT YOU MUST BEAR IT JN 15:8 JN 17:20-21 Herein (in this) is my Father glorified (honoured), that YE bear much fruit so shall ye be (become) my disciples (taught or trained one). Verse 16. Verse 22 - one in God s love. Verse 23 - that the world may know (as we abide in Jesus love). Verse 26 - only those who love with God s love will go on and see Jesus face to face. 2 THES 1:11-12 that the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST may be glorified IN YOU and YE in Him (JN 17:22) GAL 5:22-23 The fruit of the Holy Spirit 1 JN 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God (JN 17:3); for God is love (1 JN 3:16; 1 JN 2:6). 1 JN 4:5 But Verse 6, 7 let us love one another: for love is of God; FOR every one that loveth (gives his life for God s work and the brethren) IS BORN OF GOD, and knoweth God (JN 17:3). So all must show forth the fruit of God s Spirit in their lives or they know not God and have not eternal life (JN 17:3). JN 4:34 JN 12:24 JN 15:1-8 Verse 16 Jesus will is your will (1 COR 2:16). All oversight must seek fruit to be revealed in God s sons. We are in New Jerusalem = continual daily walk to yield fruit TO GOD! ROM 6: Yield to God fruit will be yielded. You must determine one way or the other. As we do this, God s Spirit works in our heart = PHIL 2:13 (Give glorious praise to our God). It is of God = wait before Him. JAM 5:7 Precious (honourable or honoured). HE WAITETH (expects earnestly) waiteth (MEANS has waited long). JAM 5:17-18 All is from above (look up ) NOBODY wants spotty, rotten, or green fruit nobody MAL 1:6-11 MAL 2:7 (1 PET 2:9). Now God of peace make YOU perfect (to fit thoroughly; adjust) IN EVERY good work working in you Through afflictions the flesh is mortified we decrease and so then as we go on in the Spirit, Jesus increases we show forth the fruit of the Spirit of God. We are the fruitful field ever go on in Christ. The Spirit of God is upon us The promise is to the church today as God s sons go forward in love. JN 3:27 look to our God He works a work. Some do not wholly follow Jesus words. JN 15:17 Jesus command is Jesus command. JN 3:16 JER 2:5 This is love! THE LOVE OF GOD OUR FATHER! SOME ARE NOT WALKING IN GOD S LOVE TO THE BRETHREN. What have you found wrong with this walk that you walk after vanity (the world)? v. 6.7 NOW is the time YOU must show the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Where is it? Is it in your life? Is it shining out of you? You must show it. You ve been taught how to bring forth fruit! GAL 5:6 Faith which worketh (works in energio) love (agape 1 JN 3:16). This is what God says and so it will work no other way than all giving their lives for one another. No gospel to all the world; no miraculous doing of God and so on. So you must now make your stand. - It s either Jesus way, or the world s way (which is death PROV 14:12; PROV 16:25). JN 10:17 Jesus love for us. v. 18 This power is within us also to lay down the old life and live Jesus faith. A glorious new life must shine out from God s sons. sa2053au Page 4

5 1 JN 4:7 This is clear enough. v. 8 = JN 17:3 - If you do not give your life in love for the brethren you don t know your God, so you won t see Jesus (JN 17:3). 1 JN 2:6 You are obliged to bring forth fruit love (God says so). 1 JN 5:20 Sons of God have no excuse. This verse shows us so. 1 COR 13:1-8 Charity (love) never fails, is always abounding in those who wait truly in the Spirit before God s throne. 1 JN 4:8 JN 17:3 1 JN 4:6. Do you hear God s word to you? v. 7 let us love one another. v So v. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us we ought (are obliged) to love one another. v. 12 IF v. 16 God is love and he that dwelleth (remains) in love (giving his life for the brethren) dwelleth (remains) in God and God in him (JN 15:5). 1 JN 4:16,17 Herein is our love made perfect (if we remain in Him and He in us). v. 21 This is God s commandment. JN 15:9 continue YE in my love! v. 10 If ye keep my commandments ye shall abide in my love even as I have kept my Father s commandment and abide in his love (Jesus love is salvation to us. He gave His life.) This is love v. 13 Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down (to put or place down) his life (psuche animal life or breath) for his friends. v. 14 Ye are my friends IF ye do whatsoever I command you. Verses means Jesus laid down His life for us if we do as He commands us. If we don t do as Jesus word commands then we are rebellious and we don t accept that He died for us for we go on our way to destruction. You must be a disciple - A TRAINED ONE - keeping God s Word. ROM 5:5 ROM 13:10 Sons of God have no excuse not to walk in love the love of God is shed abroad (poured out) in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (GAL 5:22-23) but the fruit of the Spirit is love Love worketh no ill (evil) to his neighbour therefore love is the fulfilling (fullness) OF THE LAW. So.Verses = God s command - Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ - GOD IS LOVE. GAL 5:13 Jesus says, If ye love me, keep my commandments. (JN 14:15,23-24). 1 JN 2: 3,5-6 = JN 17:3 = 1 JN 2:4. Verse 15 If 1 JN 3:1 All must see God s love and go on in God s love. Verse JN 4:12,16,17 to have boldness in the day of judgment, God s love must be mightily manifest in you! 1 JN 5:3 This IS THE LOVE of God that we walk after His commandments and His commandments are not grievous (weighty or heavy) (JN 15:13,14). 2 JN 1:6 And this IS LOVE that we walk after His commandments JUDE 20,21 Keep yourselves in the love of God by praying in the Spirit daily (in the new tongue and will all your heart). sa2053au Page 5

6 EPH 1:3,4 EPH 3:17-19 EPH 5:1.2 as he hath CHOSEN US in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be HOLY and without blame (blameless) BEFORE (in front of) HIM in love. The world cannot understand God s love in us. DO IT. God says so!... walk in love, as Christ hath given himself 1 THES 1:2,3 labour (a wearying out of work; or a beating) of love 1 THES 3:12 God can, and will if you seek Him to do so. (Abound means to be over and above) - Verse TIM 6:11. O man of God follow love PHILEMON 4,5 HEB 6:10-12 HEB 10:24 2 COR 9:10-11 Love towards the Lord Jesus and towards ALL saints. Go on and keep letting God work through you. And let us consider (perceive thoroughly) one another to provoke (excite) into love and to good works (beautiful or pleasing deeds). LK 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits (love) worthy of (honouring) repentance (a change of mind). ACTS 2:38. *********************************** JOY JOY = Grk. Chara = gladness; joy JUDE 24 GAL 5:22 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless (without blemish; blame; spot) before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy (gladness) be glory and majesty But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. So we see that God says that joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. As God s sons and daughters wait before Him in prayer praying from the heart in the Spirit (in the new tongue given them of God) the fruit of the Holy Spirit grows and is revealed to others as we walk with Holy Spirit joy showing out of our life in Christ. JN 15:1,2 So we see fruit of the Holy Spirit is a must or a branch (person) will be cut off God says so! v. 4 Shows an abiding in Christ for fruit to grow! v. 5 This is positive simply abiding (to remain or continue) in Christ in a heart walk. v. 6 No abiding Christ cannot live in us as He says He must - hence no fruit - cast forth and burnt in hell - useless to our God! v. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit (joy (in this talk)). v. 16 Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen YOU, and ordained (put; placed; or set) you, that ye should go and bring forth (bear) fruit, and that your fruit should remain Ask (aiteo crave). 1 PET 4:11-12 LK 2: PET 4:13. See He (Jesus) is given for our sins! Angel of the Lord Glory of the Lord shone round about them as about and in us today! And the angel said fear not, for behold, I bring you tidings of great joy for unto you is born a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord - HE lives within us! Behold, God is my salvation for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song: he also IS BECOME my salvation. THEREFORE with joy (rejoicing; gladness) shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation (safety). JN 4:10-11,13-14 (Life-giving water). Water of life from our God draw it out and drink up with joy! Verse 17 Freely take and drink with joy (freely gratis). ISA 51:3 Joy God does it as we abide in Christ before God s throne. Verse 4. ISA 55:11-12 JN 15:11 ROM 14:17 Our God sends us giving out His Word and doing His work with His joy within us! God says we will go out with joy so that s that and be led forth with peace (completeness) our God says it shall be so! We have God s Word good news to the lost and suffering. Reveals this heavenly joy is Jesus joy as we let Him live within us GAL 2:20 by Holy Spirit power Holy Spirit fruit. For the kingdom is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace (unity and concord), and joy in the Holy Ghost. vs LUK 17: ROM 8:9-17. PHIL 1:3-5 Supplication with joy. 1 THES 1:5-6 Our Gospel God s Word came in word, power, in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance and ye received the word in much affliction (pressure), with the joy of the Holy Ghost v. 7 ensamples walking in Holy Spirit joy. Also JAM 1:2... count it all joy (every joy) when ye fall into divers temptations glorify God that he is allowing us to be tried! 1 PET 1:5-8 At all times rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory as we believe and abide in Christ. PHIL 4:4 MATT 13:44-46 MATT 13:23 vs NEH 8:9-10 rejoice (present continuous tense) always rejoicing in the Lord! For joy - sells all that he hath (gives up the world). Word of God seed. Must be a hearing and a receiving of the seed into good ground, understanding it by Holy Spirit revealing, and bearing of fruit. Reveal to us why people do not bring forth the fruit of the Holy Spirit - they get their eyes off Jesus and don t abide in Him! This day is now - each day for us PSA 118:24. Verses 8-10 for the joy of the Lord (it is of the Lord the fruit of the Holy Spirit) is your strength (stronghold). So, wisdom is to abide in Christ and let His joy live through our whole being seeing all that is in each day for us in Christ Jesus as joy! sa2053au Page 7

8 The joy of the Lord IS YOUR STRENGTH! See Jesus and His salvation don t see problems Jesus took them on Himself on Calvary! Again JAM 1:2 COUNT IT ALL JOY when ye fall into diverse (variegated; spotted; various; different) temptations (trials; proof or provings). We must see God s grace saved us and holds us up! Nothing less than by God s grace are we saved through faith (given to us from God Himself). So if a trying or proving comes along, and we do happen to fall see that God s grace is always there Jesus blood was shed for our sins and God is able to lift us up and He gets the glory always. So count it all joy no matter what goes on! It is all by the grace of God in this walk God has placed us in and so we have been trained by God Himself to look upon our sacrifice for sins Jesus and joy in that He has saved us, and is able to keep us from falling. 1 PET 4:12-13 PSA 43:3-5 Why? EZRA 6:15-17 Prayer from the heart now! NEH 8:10. PSA 48:2 NEH 12:43 PSA 51:11-12 Mt. Zion we representatives so be joyful in the Lord! God made them (and us) rejoice He brings it to pass! Joy of Jerusalem we represent New Jerusalem! He does it all look upon our God always. PSA 105:43-44 As He s done with us also with joy! Verse 45. PSA 27:6 PSA 35:9 PSA 149:1-5 PSA 5:11-12 PSA 95:1-3 Joy in our praise to God - draw out of the wells of salvation with joy. Well, do it! Joyful in glory. We are there. PSA 98:1 He has He says so! Verse 2-6 PSA 100:1-5 PHIL 4:4 We see in ACTS 20:35 It is more blessed (happy) to give than to receive (or to take). So often among God s people, you will see some giving up all for God and the brethren, giving of their goods and money to others in need (and LK 6:38 being fulfilled in their lives making the meaner ones to stand out as not joyful givers living in the love of God towards God s people). So it is happy to give and God s love activates His sons to give. PSA 119:1-2 Blessed are the undefiled (perfect or sincere) in the way who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies and seek Him with the whole heart. v. 3 they that do not iniquity they WALK in His ways. PSA 1:1-3 A blessed, joyful and happy people who keep God s Word. Read all the PSALMS the word blessed mostly means happy e.g. PSA 40:4 Blessed (happy) is that man that maketh (sets) the Lord his trust. (God causes those who walk in His ways to be joyful He causes His Spirit to bring forth fruit joy). JAM 1:25 REV 22:7 But whoso looketh (to stoop alongside of - this is real looking) into the perfect (complete) law of liberty (freedom) and continueth THEREIN he BEING not a forgetful hearer, but a doer (performer) of the work this man SHALL BE blessed (happy) in his deed (or doing). Blessed (happy) is he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book (God says so and His word is truth JN 17:17). sa2053au Page 8

9 As God s sons stay obedient to God s Word God causes the fruit of His Spirit to be brought forth joy included. PSA 32:1-2 Shows us that blessed (or happy) is the man who knows His God (JN 17:3). True sons of God know their God has saved them and they joy in the presence of the Living God. As we walk on in Jesus (COL 1:27), and as God s Spirit reveals God s ways to us (JN 16:13-14), we are joyful or happy people. LK 10:23-24 LK 10:17-24 PROV 29:18 Blessed (or happy) are the eyes which see the things that ye see (joy as we behold the glory and mystery of our God.) Be joyful as you walk in Christ your Saviour. Where there is no vision the people perish (as in our day people are giving up as they see no future): but HE that keepeth (observes, or takes heed to) the law, happy IS HE. And so again and again we see that the fruit of God s Spirit grows in those who follow their God. They are a joyful people. PSA 106:3 JOB 5:17 Blessed (happy) or very happy are they that keep judgment and he that doeth righteousness (rightness) at all times. Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth (reproves); therefore despise not (reject not) thou the chastisement (instruction) of the Almighty. 1 COR 11:31-32 Our God is a God of love and mercy joy is His saving grace. Read PSA 112:1-3 Happy is the man that delighteth greatly IN HIS COMMANDMENTS (THERE IS the joy of God s Spirit IN those who love to serve their God and delight in His Word and who take God s instruction). PSA 128:1-4 PROV 16:20; PSA 2:12; 34:8; 40:4; and 84:12. JN 13:3-16,17 ACTS 13:49-52 ROM 15:13 HEB 12:2 IF happy are ye IF YE DO THEM. God CAUSES His joy to flow as we obey His Word. God s joy cannot flow through you until you start to die away. 1 PET 1:8 3 JN 4 (How are you walking?) COL 1:9-11 MATT 13:44-46 ISA 66:8-14 Be joyful see Jesus (HEB 2:9) in time of trial. God s joy flows through us only as we look to Him and walk fully in Jesus. Our God is only too ready and able to pour His joy into your heart. You must know your God and serve Him. v. 12 for thus saith the Lord (I will) extend (stretch out) peace (completeness) to her like a river. v. 14 and when ye see (behold or enjoy) this, your heart shall rejoice (our God says so). Go on in Jesus waiting before your Father daily for the fruit of the Spirit to grow within you Joy! GAL 5:22 LK 3:8 But the fruit OF THE SPIRIT is JOY (God says so!) 10 PEACE GAL 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is PEACE (unity or concord) with God, with others and with self. ISA 66:5-14 v. 10 Rejoice in the New Jerusalem (HEB 12:22-24) AS you rejoice eyes on Jesus the peace of God s Spirit grows within you while you wait before the throne of your God praying in the Spirit (the new tongue) and praying from the heart. v. 12 I will extend PEACE to her like a river (you must be in the centre of God s work letting Him flow His peace into your heart by His Spirit ZECH 4:6) JN 14:27 COL 1:27 Study where peace comes from Peace my (Jesus ) peace NOT AS THE WORLD GIVETH. As Jesus lives in you, His peace floods your whole life let Jesus reign in your whole being - let His peace prevail. 1 COR 1:3 2 COR 1:2; GAL 1:3; EPH 1:2; PHIL 1:2; COL 1:2; 1 THES 1:1; 2 THES 1:2; 1 TIM 1:2; 2 TIM 1:2; TIT 1:4; PHILEM 3; 1 PET 1:2 Peace BE MULTIPLIED (this is glorious). 2 PET 1:2; 2 JN 3; JUDE 2. ALL FROM GOD OUR FATHER by the power of His Spirit WORKING IN US. LK 1:76-79 JN 16:22-26,33 ACTS 10:36 ROM 2:10,11 ROM 8:6 ROM 15:33 JN 14:23 EPH 2:14,21-22 ROM 10:15 Jesus to guide us in the way of peace (COL 1:27) His life (COL 3:4) is in God's sons His peace is in God's sons let it be manifested. in Jesus peace Jesus peace by the Holy Spirit. peace by Jesus Christ (JN 15:1-5 you must abide and then the fruit will come forth). This is God s Word To be spiritually minded (the minding of the Spirit) is peace (God says so). (HEB 2:1-4 hold fast to God s Spirit He will bring forth the fruit that gives glory to our Father JN 15:8) Our God is a God of peace (He says so) (2 COR 6:16) God will walk in us His peace will be in us even all the fruit of His Spirit as He lives His life through Christ in us (COL 1:27). Jesus said this so love Him, keep His Words, and we shall stay in Jesus and His Father s abode with the glorious peace of God in our lives through the Spirit. Christ in us (our peace) whom God works His works through. Take God s Word into your heart it is the Gospel (good news) of peace. 1 COR 7:15 Not called to confusion but called to peace in Christ Jesus. 1 COR 14:33 God is the author of peace (peace comes with Jesus dwelling IN YOU). 2 COR 13:11 Live in peace (JN 14:27 the peace that is Jesus life by the Spirit). (We see from this verse that our Father is the God OF LOVE AND PEACE). Again EPH 2:14 for He (Jesus) is our peace (God says so). We come to the Father in Jesus (COL 1:27). PHIL 4:7 Peace is of God (and the peace of God shall keep your hearts and minds through JESUS CHRIST). v. 9 and the GOD of peace shall be with you. God s peace the fruit of the Holy Spirit in you. HEB 13:20 the God of peace (2 COR 6:16). JAM 3:18 The fruit of righteousness is sown IN PEACE (God s peace) of them that make peace (all by God s Spirit). 1 PET 3:11 GAL 5:22 all by the Spirit of God seek it (wait before God daily and ask that His peace grow in you). 1 PET 5:14 Peace with all that are in Christ Jesus (JN 15:5 you must abide in Jesus for peace to grow and grow). 2 PET 3:11-13,14 Be diligent (USE haste or speed) that ye may be found in Him (Jesus) JN 15:5) in peace. ISA 9:6 His name Prince (head; official; or captain) OF PEACE. v. 7 peace no end ISA 26:12 ISA 32:17 ISA 45:7 ISA 48:18 ISA 53:5 ISA 54:10 He is the author of peace He can ordain it by the Spirit in your life. Read this verse well! JN 3:27 Look to our God He gives His peace. PROV 3:1,2 as Gods Word lives in our heart = peace. Jesus died and rose again so that He could live in our hearts and give us His peace. Peace of God to us is part of the covenant of God in Jesus blood. ISA 55:12 God says so! = ROM 8:14. Read PSA 29:11; 34:14; 55:18; 85:10; 119:165; 122:1-6,7-8; 147:11-13,14. LAM 3:17 GAL 5:22 LK 3:8 And God can take His peace from those who walk not in His ways. But the fruit OF THE SPIRIT is PEACE (God says so). Bring forth therefore fruit (peace) worthy of (meriting or honouring) repentance (a change of mind). ACTS 2:38. *********************************** LONGSUFFERING EX 34:6 COL 1:27 NUM 14:18 the Lord, the Lord God is merciful and gracious, longsuffering (long of face or anger does not get angry quickly, but gives ample opportunity for all to walk in His ways) and abundant in truth (steadfastness). Says Christ in you (and God is in Christ) so God s sons must let Jesus life (longsuffering) radiate from them (1 JN 5:20 even in His son Jesus Christ this is THE TRUE GOD). 12 PSA 86:15 But thou O Lord art a God full of compassion and gracious = longsuffering 2 PET 3:9 The Lord IS longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (we must go on with the Word of God longsuffering in all things that we may find His sheep and save them. God has been longsuffering, while you have been taught by Him. ROM 2:4 the riches of His (God s) goodness and forbearance and longsuffering. The goodness of God leadeth THEE to repentance. 2 COR 6:4 But in all things APPROVING OURSELVES v. 5,6 by longsuffering GAL 5:22 EPH 4:1,2 COL 1:10,11 COL 3:12 But the fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord beseech you that ye walk worthy (or worthily) of the vocation (calling) wherewith you are called WITH ALL lowliness (lowliness of mind) and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing (holding self back) one another in love. Strengthened with all might according to (or by) His glorious power (or strength) unto (or into) all patience and longsuffering WITH JOYFULNESS giving thanks unto the Father Put on AS THE ELECT of God longsuffering (fruit of God s Spirit). 1 TIM 1:16 I obtained mercy that in me first JESUS CHRIST might show (show inwardly) all longsuffering for a pattern TO THEM which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting (1 COR 11:1). 1 TIM 1:15 for this cause v. 16 you obtained mercy also (JN 15:8,16). 2 TIM 3:10 all the fruit of God s Spirit (ZECH 4:6) 2 TIM 4:2 Preach THE WORD reprove (convict), rebuke (chide), exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. (Christ working through us by God s power). 1 PET 3:20 God is working in us and waiting with longsuffering for the bride of Christ (JAM 5:7 precious fruit longsuffering in His sons). 2 PET 3:13-15 and account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation (and He is in us). v Don t fall from your steadfastness in Jesus LET HIM LIVE through you. And again JAM 5:7 be long patient or suffer with long patience (HEB 10:36) = JAM 5:8-11. 13 PSA 18:35 Thy gentleness (humility) hath made me great. 2 COR 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the MEEKNESS (mildness) AND gentleness OF CHRIST (gentleness = fruit of God s Holy Spirit grows in us as we abide IN CHRIST JN 15:1-5). TIT 3:2 TIT 2:6-8 JAM 3:17 PROV 1:1-4,5-9 PROV 1:20-33 PROV 2:1-5,6-9 to speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle (pliant), showing all meekness unto all men. sound speech which cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil (worthless) thing to say of you. But the wisdom that is from above is gentle (yielding, pliant), and easy to be intreated (easily persuaded) HEB 12:6-8. Let God instruct you from His Word so that you may be useful to His work. PROV 4:1-12 Let God s Word work in you. 1 THES 2:7 But we were gentle (mild) among you even as a nurse (a nourisher) cherisheth her children. 2 TIM 2:24 And the servant of the Lord MUST NOT strive (fight); but be gentle (mild) unto all men, apt to teach, patient in meekness, instructing those that oppose themselves: if GOD peradventure will give THEM repentance (a change of mind) v. 26. ACTS 2:38. *********************************** GOODNESS GAL 5:22 ROM 15:13,14 EPH 5:9 But the fruit of the Spirit IS goodness (this word simply means goodness). And I myself also am persuaded of you my brethren that ye ALSO are full (or stored) of goodness For the fruit of the Spirit IS IN ALL goodness AND righteousness AND truth proving what is acceptable (well-pleasing) unto the Lord. v. 8 For ye were sometimes (once) darkness but now are ye light (radiance) in the Lord walk (walk around) as children (a child; or one born) of light (radiance). Goodness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit our Father says so keep Christ in your heart, for the Father is one with Him (JN 17:21,22). 2 THES 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling and fulfil ALL THE good pleasure (or good thought) of HIS goodness. v. 12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you AND YE IN HIM according to the grace (favour) of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. EX 34:6 PSA 33:1-5 PSA 52:1 The Lord, The Lord God - merciful (pitiful) and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in goodness (kindness) and truth (steadfastness). the earth IS full of the goodness OF THE LORD. PSA 107:8,15,21,31 and He is in our hearts. PSA 144:2 My goodness. (2 COR 6:16) NUM 10:29-32 Even God s goodness in us even unto all men. JUDG 8:33-35 Don t follow their example 1 COR 10: KIN 8:66 ACTS 13:22 EZ 36: CHR 6:40,41 Rejoice in God s goodness unto us and do unto others 2 CHR 7:10,14 PSA 16:2 Our goodness is from God to radiate out to others (PHIL 2:12,13). PSA 21:3 For Thou preventest him (goeth before him) with the blessings of goodness (our goodness is from God). PSA 65:10,11 Thou crownest the year with Thy goodness (JAM 2:8). Again goodness is of God (ROM 3:10-12 God says there is none that doeth good, no, not one). Only Jesus in you by the power of God s Spirit can do the good works of God (ZECH 4:6; EPH 2:8-10 you are created in Christ Jesus unto good works (deeds); v.9: not of man s works JN 6:28,29 Let Jesus good works be flowing from your life). All is of God man s ways and so-called goodness is an abomination to God. Only God can save (He works His goodness through the members of His church). overcame evil with good. Let us do good UNTO ALL MEN HEB 12:2 Go on unto perfection. Being fruitful (OR bearing fruit) in every good work (that ye might walk worthy (worthily) of the Lord being fruitful (bearing fruit). 2 THES 2:17 It is all by God s Spirit working in you. 2 TIM 2:20,21 be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and meet (very useful) for the master s use and prepared (made ready) unto every good work (deed). 2 TIM 3:17 Eat up daily of God s work drink up daily of God s Spirit. TIT 3:1 HEB 13:20-21 to be ready TO EVERY GOOD WORK. 15 GOD HAS BEEN GOOD TO EACH OF US. He holds us in His salvation by His power through His grace which is given to us. He has saved us that we may let Him work His goodness to others and so glorify His name. JN 15:8 LK 3:8 HEREIN IS MY FATHER GLORIFIED that ye bear much fruit Bring forth therefore fruit (goodness) worthy of (meriting, or honouring) repentance (a change of mind). ACTS 2:38. *********************************** FAITH GAL 5:22 But the fruit OF THE SPIRIT IS faith. HEB 1:11 Now FAITH is THE SUBSTANCE (what stands under substratum ground or confidence or understructure) of things hoped for, the evidence (conviction) of things not seen (or not perceived; or even not understood). This scripture explains that this fruit of God s Spirit FAITH is an assurance in the heart (or a just knowing in the heart) by Jesus life and Jesus faith (GAL 2:20; GAL 2:16; GAL 3:22.26; EPH 1:15; 6:23; PHIL 3:9; COL 1:4; 2:5; 2:12; 1 TIM 1:14; 3:13; 2 TIM 1:13; 3:15; HEB 12:2; ACTS 3:16; 5:5). And in MK 11:22 Jesus says Have faith in God (or have God s faith). ROM 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. In EZ 36:26-27 our Father tells us He will cause us to walk in His ways and keep His Word also in JER 31:31-34 (v.33); EZ 11:19-20; HEB 8:10-11 and HEB 10: As God s sons hear God s Word with an open heart, the Holy Spirit writes the Father s Word on the heart and there it is a living Word and those going on in Jesus just know God s Word is Truth and that it is a living Word. There is an assurance OR CONVICTION OR evidence in the heart that God is fulfilling all His Word in His sons and all will be brought to pass as it is written. Wait on your knees before your God your heart open to Him looking upon Him (by faith 2 COR 3:18) and having heard His Word it will be quickened (made alive) in your heart. Actually Faith is Jesus faith and life being activated in the heart of God s sons. GAL 2:20 I am CRUCIFIED with Christ, nevertheless I live, YET NOT I but Christ liveth in me and the life WHICH I NOW LIVE in the flesh I live BY THE FAITH of the Son of God. So again it is for us to decrease and for Jesus and His life to increase (Jesus life to be manifested more and more in our mortal body, the temple of the Holy Spirit). Do you want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in you? If you do then spend time with your God, even every moment. PSA 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord and HE SHALL GIVE thee the desires of thine heart. v. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. HEB 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him (ACTS 13:22). Our God has a work to fulfil (PHIL 2:13; HEB 13:20-21; HEB 10:36,38,39). sa2053au Page 15

16 HEB 11:6 Wait before Him, read His Word daily, and the reward of faith will come to glorify His Son in us. So without faith (fruit of the Spirit) it is impossible to please Him. GAL 5:5 but faith WHICH WORKETH by love (agape 1 JN 3:16). As God s love (ROM 5:5) is growing and being revealed among His sons, God s faith grows also and is actuated by God s power in a people of love and unity (peace). So we see that faith comes from God who is in Christ who is in God s sons. JN 3:27 LK 3:8 God s faith is supernatural it is from above ASK HIM TO CAUSE His faith to grow in you as you read His Word and as you pray in the Spirit (the new language God has put on your lips). Bring forth therefore fruit (faith) worthy of (meriting, or honouring) repentance (a change of mind). ACTS 2:38. *********************************** MEEKNESS GAL 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is meekness (mildness). IT IS NOT MAN S MEEKNESS, but is a FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. JN 15:8 Herein is My Father glorified that ye BEAR MUCH FRUIT. v. 16 Ye have not chosen Me but I have chosen you and ordained you THAT YE SHOULD GO and bring forth fruit. 2 COR 10:1 Paul walked as Christ walked (1 COR 11:1; MATT 11:29 learn of Jesus). Jesus command Take My yoke upon you (PHIL 1:21 for me to live is Christ). GAL 6:1 EPH 4:1-2 COL 3:12 We are to walk in meekness (of God s Spirit) and glorify our God (fruit). Do not think anything of self. It is Jesus who lives in us and keeps us. (The Holy Spirit is the SPIRIT of meekness HEB 2:1-2 Keep praying in the Spirit, in the new tongue and from the heart). Walk with all meekness. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, meekness 1 TIM 6:11 But thou, O man of God, follow after meekness. 2 TIM 2:25 In meekness instructing those who oppose themselves. TIT 3:2 JAM 1:21 JAM 3:13 but gentle shewing all meekness unto all men. and receive WITH MEEKNESS (mildness) the engrafted word which is able to save your souls. Who is a wise man (MATT 7:24-25) let him shew OUT OF A GOOD CONVERSATION his works WITH MEEKNESS and wisdom. 1 PET 3:15 ANSWER with MEEKNESS and fear (reverence). PSA 45:1-4 Ride prosperously because of truth and meekness ZECH 2:3 all ye meek seek meekness (GAL 5:23). Also LK 11:9-10 Seek AND YE SHALL FIND (God says so). NUM 12:3 NUM 11:16-17 God s Spirit on Moses Moses meek (humble) above all men which were upon the face of the earth. PSA 22:26; PSA 25:9; PSA 37:11; PSA 76:6-9; PSA 147:6; PSA 149:4 He will HE SAYS SO. ISA 11:1-5 ISA 29:19 The meek (fruit of the Spirit) also shall increase their joy (fruit of the Spirit) in the Lord. We know from God s Word how we should walk with Him in meekness even filled with all the fruit of God s Spirit that our Father may be glorified in Jesus who dwells within us. LK 3:8 LK 3:7 Bring forth therefore fruit (meekness) worthy of (meriting, or honouring) repentance (a change of mind). ACTS 2:38. The people of the flesh John said are a generation of vipers all born in sin (PSA 51:6) So all must repent, OR THE WRATH OF GOD WILL COME UPON THEM. *********************************** TEMPERANCE GAL 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is Temperance TEMPERANCE means self-restraint or continence. 2 PET 1:1-6 and beside this giving all diligence (using haste or speed) add to your faith virtue (strength); to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance (our Father fitting the words to Peter s lips tells us to add temperance to our walk in Christ). v. 8 BUT v. 9 v The Lord, speaking through Peter, is urgent about these things (v.5 give diligence). V. 8 for if ; v. 9 but he that lacketh is blind; v. 10 give diligence; v. 12 wherefore I WILL NOT BE NEGLIGENT to put you always in remembrance OF THESE THINGS though ye know them AND BE ESTABLISHED IN THE PRESENT TRUTH (HEB 2:1-3). V. 13 Yea I think it meet v. 15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able AFTER MY DECEASE to have these things ALWAYS in remembrance. 1 COR 9:25 and every man that striveth (agonizes, OR contends) for the mastery IS TEMPERATE (uses self-restraint) in all things. v. 26,27 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I (or box) (MATT 11:12; MATT 12:30) not as one that beateth (to skin; flay; or thrash) the air (the atmosphere): but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection (lead into servitude): lest sa2053au Page 17

18 TIT 1:8 GAL 5:22-23 TIT 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate (sound minded; prudent) But the fruit of the Spirit is love (giving your whole life for God s work, and the brethren), joy (gladness by the Spirit), peace (unity or concord with God and the brethren), longsuffering (patience), gentleness (kindness, or usefulness), goodness, faith (faithfulness or steadfastness), meekness (mildness), temperance (self-restraint): against such (such as this) there is no law (or there is not law ordinance) God says so. 1 PET 4:7 BUT THE END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND (or is come nigh): be ye therefore sober (be sound minded 2 TIM 1:6-7) and watch (be watchful) unto prayer (pouring out your heart before the throne of God). v. 8 and ABOVE ALL (or before all things) have fervent (extended or stretched out) charity (love agape) among yourselves: for charity (agape 1 JN 3:16) shall cover a multitude of sins (errors). (Our Father says so). ROM 13:8 SO THERE IT IS God says so! v. 9,10 Love (agape) worketh no ill (evil) to his neighbour, therefore LOVE (agape 1 JN 3:16) IS the fulfilling (fullness) of the law. Verses EPH 5:1-2 BE YE therefore followers (imitators) of God (all the talks on the fruit of the Spirit show us clearly how God walks) as dear (beloved) children and walk IN LOVE (1 JN 3:16) as Christ also hath loved us (JN 3:16) and hath GIVEN HIMSELF for us an offering and a sacrifice (a slaughter) to God for a sweet-smelling savour. 2 JN 6 And this is love (agape) THAT YE WALK after (according to) His commandments (things given in charge according as it is written).
