4 HAPPENINGS AT THE MLK SITE THIS FALL Computer Class Announcement Applications for the Senior Adult Computer class are now available in the lobby of the church at the Information Desk. Class will begin on Thursday, September, 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the MLK Campus, located at 1905 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Every 1 st and 3 rd Monday, a story will be read to area daycare children who range in age from one to four. All one, two, and three, and four year olds are invited. HARVARD UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCEMENT No tuition and no student loans Harvard University announced recently that from now on undergraduate students from lowincome families will pay no tuition. 6 NORDSTROM SCHOLARSHIP Applications for the 2012 Nordstrom Scholarship Program are available beginning TODAY for deserving high school juniors. The company will award eighty (80) college scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each to students in states where Nordstrom has a store. 7 THE E. JAMES GRANT CHERUB CHOIR The E. James Grant Cherub Choir invites all children between the ages of 4 and 8 to join us in lifting the Name of Jesus in Praise and Song. 10 CRADLE ROLL MINISTRY There is an exciting new ministry here at Mt. Zion and we would like to introduce you to it. This ministry is called Cradle Roll (New Generation I & II) which is a church and faith based community outreach ministry to parents (single or married) who are expecting and/or have children up to 4 years of age. Cradle Roll Ministry Seeks to: Manifest the interest of the church in the home and community Minister to parents and offer counsel and guidance to assist parents in their parenthood responsibilities Assist parents in establishing daily family worship in the home Encourage Sunday school attendance for the child and Sunday school and Worship for the parents. Children are a gift from God (Psalm 127:3-5). Our goal is to lift God higher in families. Please allow us to enroll and minister to you and your family.
