1 OUT OF AFRICA COMPLETE VICTORY IN CHRIST February 2016 Newsletter of Shekinah/ Kalibu Ministries- Issue 258 ONE WITH THE BRIDEGROOM Beloved Partners & Friends, We have just completed an amazing conference with our wonderful pastors in Malawi. There were 164 pastors and leaders from Malawi and Mozambique who arrived for four full days of powerful teaching and it was both dynamic and exciting. The hunger of these men for the WORD never ceases to amaze me. This is the time for being in the gardens despite the terrible drought that has wrought so much destruction. But, these men of God left everything to come for the Word. Each morning, we gathered for serious intercession and focused on the Lord breaking the drought. Looking at the weather map of Africa with that devastating El Nino settled on both sides of the Continent was enough to drain any faith especially when there has been no rain at all in so much of the southern part of Africa. Dams have completely dried, rivers are not flowing and the land is caked and cracked. As I flew over South Africa and Mozambique I literally wept to see nothing but brown and red bare soil. It looked like one unending dust bowl. The mighty Zambezi River was nothing but a stream when, at this time of year, it should be swollen with flood waters. The natural is always a picture of the spiritual. We cried out in repentance for the sins of Malawi: the witchcraft, the abuse of natural resources and the rebellion of so many people. When such cries were mingled with genuine tears we moved on to plead for life giving rain. Personally I was imploring the Lord to send rain so that the pastors would see that the Lord truly answers heart-rending cries. On the last morning of the conference as the second morning session ended, the rain began to fall in abundance. The pastors burst into dancing and rejoicing some of them running outside to stand in the rain and simply enjoy it. What amazing spontaneous response this was in blessing and thanking the Lord. It has been raining ever since and yesterday, it rained all day so that the river rose much higher than our bridge in a massive torrent of water sweeping whole trees along with it. What a terrifying sight but who is to complain? By looking to the Lord rather than the El Nino map, God had mercy and He heard our cries and He visited us in His grace. How faithful and glorious is the Lord who has promised to hear the heart cries of His people. What an enormous release and relief for the land. I always consider the three and a half years of withering drought proclaimed as judgment by Elijah and how it annihilated the nation of Israel. 2 Out of Africa February 2016 Page 2 ONE WITH THE BRIDEGROOM (Continued) The theme of the conference was THE BRIDE. Using the powerful Scripture 1John 4: 17 as our foundation, we build up a picture of who the bride really is according to the Word. As He is... How is He to YOU today? Most Christians have a warped idea of who the Bride really is and what role she is meant to play. What an identity crisis belongs to the Body of Christ. We have become flesh of His flesh and bone of His bones according to Paul writing that powerful marriage book of Ephesians. We have a glorious inheritance in Him but He also has an inheritance in us. What a picture of the earthly bridegroom and the bride this is meant to be. We spend our time in earthly marriages trying to change partners to be what we want them to be and thereby destroying the marriage. Only the blessed Holy Spirit has the right to change people into the character and nature of Christ from glory to glory to His image. Jesus, the living Word, clothed Himself in humanity and came down to earth to ultimately lift us up to God. Scripture clearly tells us that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Eph. 2: 4-6) We looked at where the individual believer wants to TABERNACLE in Christ. Is it at the stable and the baby in the manger or the boy debating in the temple. Perhaps people are more comfortable with the unknown years of Christ learning absolute obedience to His Father or identifying with Him as He began His ministry. Most Christians are more than ready to tabernacle around the cross or the grave or the resurrection. Of course Jesus had to pass through all of these aspects of His growing life but He never stopped at any of these points because a circle is not completed until it returns AND JOINS the starting point. And, herein lies the most powerful and dynamic aspect of the ministry of Christ. He left the right hand of the Father for thirty-three and a half years to come to this earth, win me and take me back WITH HIM and seat me in Him at the right hand of God NOW, so that in the eternal ages to come, all creation may see and worship His glorious magnificence in what He has done and accomplished. That is the true picture of the Bride. She is one with the Bridegroom, taking His name, nature and character. What is the status of His nature and character at present? Beloved, read Revelation. He is the Warring Bridegroom ready to return with fire and all power and authority. He is the Bridegroom ready to thrust in His sickle and reap a mighty harvest in the midst of great tribulation. He is the Confronting Bridegroom making war on the enemy. Are we truly identified with Him as HE is right now, or are we living in a romanticized world of make believe? Unless we complete the circle by being seated together with Him NOW at the right hand of God we are as the little sister that has no breasts in the Song of Jedidiah chapter 8 AFRICA MISSION TRIP There will be another short-term mission trip to Malawi Africa this year. July 1-22 we will be taking another group to see the work in Malawi, do rural church ministry, go on safari, attend a teaching conference with the pastors, and visit the various outreaches there. 3 VICTORY & BREAKTHROUGH Out of Africa February 2016 Page 3 PRAYER ANSWER We have a wonderful God who hears our prayers. Water is absolutely necessary for all humans, animals and plants. The whole land of Malawi is currently suffering of drought. God is our help. We started to pray to God. We repented and asked God to forgive the pride of the people and the idolatry and witchcraft. God have mercy on Malawi. God we ask for your blessing, your goodness and rain. Open the heavens and give rain. We have a God who hears our prayers. We have been enjoying the sound of the singing birds, who give thanks. As our marvelous, amazing God answered us by giving His rain. Missionary: Kaisa VICTORY AND BREAKTHROUGH! We had an intensive, but very wonderful Pastors Conference here in Kalibu Academy. As most of the students went for a one week exit holiday, 164 pastors arrived to attend four days of teaching, prayer, praise and worship. I am seated in heavenly places in Christ and I should catch up with that to be where He is at the right hand of God, instead of tabernacling and staying at the cross or even by the resurrection. The Holy Spirit is sent by the Father to seek a bride for His Son, and not just anyone is fit. Am I the bride of Christ? Will I allow the Holy Spirit to change me so that I can, and will be a fit bride when the bridegroom returns? It is not about the church as we know it, but about the kingdom of God, to be a kingdom person, to live the kingdom now. What really touched me and changed my life during the conference was the revelation, that God purchased me to be the Bride, not just part of some group, but to be THE Bride. To take on His nature, the conquering victorious and powerful nature of the returning King. What really blew my mind and being, is that He doesn't look at my failures, at the half-fabricate I am now, He already sees the final product, He already sees what He made and called me to be! And, by the blood of Jesus, the changing power of the blessed Holy Spirit and His marvelous grace: thats where I am now, but not yet! In Him there is no failures! I am so excited about what He is showing about Himself as the mighty one seated at the right hand of power, everywhere in His word and I hardly can wait for the next Pastors conference! 4 Out of Africa - February Page 4 Drought in Malawi & Mozambique What absolute devastation this drought has brought upon the people of these countries. There is a critical shortage of the staple food, maize. I have just had the amazing opportunity to purchase 1000 bags of maize at MK14,000 per bag. This price is exorbitant to say the least usually, a bag of 50kilograms or 110 pounds sells at Mk but what are we to do in the face of mass starvation and suffering? The total price of that maize is US $25,000. We have used every bit of money we are able to find including my own years of personal savings. No, I am not a hero but at the same time, I just cannot stand by and watch even our own pastors suffer without at least doing something small just to show that we really care. On top of that, we have 680 really destitute old people in our Kalibu Elderly Project who literally have nothing to eat and many have 4, 5 and 6 great grandchildren who are dependent upon them. Such an amount of maize is a drop in a huge lake of need. Nobody in the media is going to cover the drought in Southern Africa in the face of the humanitarian crisis emerging from Syria but I am appealing to you beloved partners and friends to PLEASE HELP in our time of crisis. The Lord immeasurably bless you and multiply to you. Please send your precious contribution to the office in Findlay and we will be sure to get it here in Africa. This is an URGENT APPEAL! We still need to buy another thousand bags and it is a race to get them. National maize supplies are depleted and certainly other Southern African countries have no stocks to sell, being in similar situations of crisis. 5 PASTOR S CONFERENCE Out of Africa February 2016 Page 5 It was upon on my arrival from South Sudan that I was so excited to receive a call from Pastor McDonald Maso the overseer at Nsanje. He reported how amazingly wonderful the Pastors' conference was. He said he was deeply moved by the teachings on the Kingdom and the Bride. He has been attending different conferences in Blantyre for many years but this particular conference was so powerful that he could continue listening for the whole day and never get tired with such anointed teaching. The presence of the Holy Spirit was moving so strong in that teaching. How wonderful and the privileged we are to have that kind of teaching in the KALIBU MINISTRIES. Other pastors called one after another and they were so excited by the teaching. Pastors Haswell, Donald Gondwe, Orphian Banda all testified how strong the conference was. They said that they could not believe how the Director could bring such deep words from simple Scriptures and they would never think of such deep thoughts of truth in the teachings. They said the Director had more confidence in the Lord and more power than ever to give such amazing teaching that strengthened them and built them up so high. With such teaching about the kingdom they had never understood before and they were all so blessed. Pastor Pereira the overseer from Morrumbala told how since 1984 he has been hearing the teachings of Pastor Michael, but this teaching he had special anointing. Pastor Navaya said, I started to question myself on how deep the teachings were. I found after talking to the pastors, that the spirit of the Lord was so strong in this Pastors' conference, that it was obvious that the Lord visited in extra measure to compensate for all the attacks that the Ministry has been experiencing. The Lord showed Himself mighty on behalf of the pastors. Pastor July Jombo started praising God for what happened to this conference. He said the teaching of the kingdom and government of God was so great and that most people don t have any teaching or understanding in the church. Such teachings are what makes huge difference in the of life of the church and is really the difference between life and death. Through this teaching they have learnt how the Lord reveals the kingdom of God in them and then through them. Such reports excited my heart. I saw and it showed me that the Director was so clear to what the teaching of the Kingdom and Bride was about that with great excitement it has taken them to another level in the Lord. The pastors asked me, Pastor Navaya, to send their great appreciation to our Director and all his staff for the blessing of the teachings. And, added on top was each pastor received a bag of maize to carry home because of the famine. As they arrived to their homes and families there was great rejoicing and such happiness to see them coming with the gift of bags of maize. It is true that we do not appreciate the things we have in life until we lose them. I can surely testify today that Kalibu Academy is probably the best place to be and that I have ever been to. Many might disagree with me but that does not make the fact a lie. There is surely something very special about Kalibu Academy and as an ambassador of the school can boldly stand up and say I miss Kalibu Academy.
