We endeavor to obtain the best available for our e v a n g e l i s t s, singers, youth, and children s workers. We feel like this quest was satisfactorily met for our 2014 camp. Our annual conference began on Thursday evening and a clear sense of unity and cooperation prevailed as church business was accomplished. As usual, there were a few changes and some newly elected officers, including two new conference board members. We are happy to report that throughout conference a sweet spirit of fellowship prevailed and everyone went home feeling blessed. Camp started off the first Friday evening with the presence of the Lord being richly manifested in our midst. Marc Dodril and Mark Mowery both did an excellent job of presenting the Word of God to us. The Kelloggs blessed us time and again with their music and their exemplary lives. An added blessing was the presence of sisters, Hannah and Kathryn Jones, and Tony Watt, AWC students who came at our invitation to direct the Youth services and other youth activities Monday thru Friday. God gave us several precious altar services as the Holy Spirit moved on the hearts of sensitive hearts. He also enabled us to raise the entire camp budget as the good people responded to the Spirit s prompting. One special incentive was the promise of our camp workers to volunteer to stand under the four-inch city water tube, which dispenses water for farmers, etc, at the rate of about sixty gallons per minute. 3 Spring 2013 Elie's Camp Review Camp 2014, in my opinion, was the best one of them all. We grew closer to God and to each other, and played more sports. The AWC students, Tony Watt, Hannah Jones, and Kathryn Jones were part of what made this camp "the best." They played games with us like soccer, volleyball, softball, kickball, and basketball. They made afterglows fun. One night we had a relay where one person from each team had to run up to a mystery food bag, grab one item out, eat or drink it, then run and tag the next team member. We discovered eating beef jerky very fast is quite difficult and funny to watch. I also really enjoyed the youth services. I loved the songs they taught us, such as "He's the Rock." Tony's messages were amazing. I remember one service when all us teens came in soaking wet because we went under the water spout, and we made a puddle of water in the pew. I just cannot believe we got Tony and Hannah to do it too! This camp was a blast! I can t wait til 2015 camp! ****************************************** "A Few of My Favorite Things" from Camp (as dictated by 6-year-old Noah Mayle) The best part of camp was meeting my friends and catching frogs. When it rains, we can catch a lot of them. I also liked all the good food. My favorite song in children's church was "Trust and Obey", and I really liked doing art projects with Rebekah. Sis. Highlen does good Bible stories, and Rebekah does great puppet shows. My friends and I loved running under the water spout. Noah. My Visit to the Lower Light Camp Anthony Watt It was a privilege to be able to attend and participate in the Lower Light Camp. This year there was a special focus on the youth and I was given the opportunity to work with them Monday thru Friday. We held chapel services daily and had a lot of fun playing volley ball, softball, and just hanging out with the young people. For me this was the highlight of the week. They are a great group of young people and I m looking forward to seeing how they grow in the coming year. Hannah and her sister, Kathryn, two of my fellow AWC students, also assisted in the camp youth ministry. Brother Dodrill and Brother Mowery both did an excellent job. Their sermons were not only relevant but very practical as well. While their styles were complete opposites they provided a balance throughout the week. There is no doubt in my mind that God was in every one of the services. His presence was there in an uncommon way and it was amazing! The church s mission work is great and I noticed it right away when I walked into the kitchen. It was good to see holiness people reaching out to help those in need, and exposing them to what holiness people are like, while also exposing themselves to those who do not believe like they do. The exposure is good for both of them. My experience at the camp was delightful. The rooms were very nice, and the food in Voss s Diner [camp dining hall] was amazing! I look forward to going back to another Lower Light camp sometime in the future. ****************************************** Christ sends us to witness to our world of influence. Page 3

5 This is what makes camp meeting worthwhile; it s such a vital time in the lives of so many. Saints praising God, anointed preaching, and altar scenes such as these are an encouraging effect of camp. Several commented that God s presence was felt in every service. 6 Food & fellowship; a camp meeting specialty. The dining hall is a favorite place at camp time, for food, relaxing, sharing, and just catching up on some activities. These pages reflect some of those special times. Above, the Dodrils and the Mowery s pose for a snap shot, while below, several enjoy the good food, and some fellowship. 7 We were blessed to have some young people from AWC to instruct our young people by word and example. Several expressed their appreciation for this added program. There were daily chapel services and plenty of fun. Let s Play ball!! Mike Souls manning the biscuit distribution in the camp dining hall.
