3 FROM PASTOR RANDY I want to thank you for taking a moment to learn more about the ministries here at The Brook. To say that I am thrilled that you have decided to join the MeadowBrook faith family is an understatement, but it is so true. My excitement is that we will journey in ministry together for years to come. The DNA of the body of Christ changed when you joined yourself to MeadowBrook. The Lord has perfectly fashioned you in your mother s womb for your usefulness in his kingdom. Your personality, talents and abilities are all calculated perfectly for effective ministry. Additionally, The Holy Spirit reveals himself uniquely through you by spiritual gifts for your call of ministry. Knowing ministry opportunities and needs before they exist, the Holy Spirit has shaped the body of Christ at MeadowBrook perfectly to meet those needs and opportunities. You are part of that shape. The training tool Connections will help you to learn more about your spiritual gifts and how to manage those gifts with God s grace. You ll discover how God has gifted you for ministry and how you can use those gifts for ministry and missions at MeadowBrook. As leaders in the church we have been called to prepare God s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up Ephesians 4: God calls us into a personal relationship with him, making sure we are growing in our walk and being equipped to serve where we are gifted. Our various pastors and ministry leaders stand ready to connect you to ministries so that you can be empowered to do the work of the Lord. God s Word states in I Corinthians 12:12-28 that if you have a relationship with Christ then you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. God s Word continues and encourages us in I Peter 4:10 that as vital parts of his body, each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God s grace in its various forms. Knowing these truths we must ask ourselves, Am I doing my part as the Body of Christ? What gifts am I using for the work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? The MeadowBrook Ministry Catalog is designed to help you connect to opportunities for personal, relational, and Christ-centered growth. The ministries and organizations presented here offer wonderful opportunities to receive personal ministry and to release your giftedness and passion into a specific ministry. Regardless of the ministry with which you connect, MeadowBrook seeks to CONNECT people to Christ and His church, GROW them as disciples to be disciplers and equip them to SERVE through missions, ministry, and worship, all to GLORIFY God. Please be prayerful in considering the ministry opportunities that are available at MeadowBrook. Our DNA immediately changed in the moment that God placed you here as part of our church family. Our prayer is that you connect to specific ministries where you can grow and flourish in your relationship with Christ and others. I m excited to have the opportunity to be your pastor, and I believe our greatest days in ministry together are ahead! 3
