1 WHAT S THE BUZZ? Penn-Del District JBQ October 2014 THANK YOU.to all who made League Meet #1 a great success. 74 teams across PennDel quizzed! LEAGUE MEET #2 will be Saturday November 8th. League Reps will provide locations and starting times. Championship Division is quizzing over cards 1-64, , Discovery Division is quizzing over cards 33-64, ADDING DISCOVERY TEAMS.Did you know that Discovery Division teams can be added throughout the season? For those planning on adding Discovery Division teams, please register online and contact your league rep at least one week before the meet. UPCOMING DATES: League Meet #2: November League Meet #3: January Semi-Finals: January District Finals: February 6 & (to be held in Lebanon PA) Includes Team Tournament and One on One Tournament *One on One Tournament open to a quizzer if 1) They quizzed in the Championship Division 2) Their team did not qualify for district finals 3) That quizzer averaged at least 50 points over the course of the season PENN DEL MEMORIZATION AWARD: This new award will be given to individuals who memorize all of this season s Championship Division Cards. All point values of each meet s cards must be successfully answered in one sitting (done separately for the three league meets) to earn the award (unlimited number of attempts allowed). The entire question is read to the individual who then gives the answer. Three cards can be missed per league meet s cards. Individuals who earn the Memorization award will be honored at District Finals. This award is not part of the Master Seal but it is intended to help prepare people for the Master Seal.
