It is an attempt to bring to the minds of the readers two things: (1) the meaning of the words in the verses and (2) the practical application of those words to the lives of both saved and unsaved people. IN CONNECTION WITH BOTH THE MEANING AND APPLICATION OF THE VERSES IN THIS BOOK, THERE ARE MANY VERSES FROM OTHER PLACES IN THE BIBLE that have been quoted for further elaboration of the teachings in this book. L. COOPER WAS THE HOMETOWN PASTOR. Call him when you are in the area ( ). We had never met him or his wife, but when we left, it was as if we were old friends! PASTOR COOPER LED US AND JUDY, HIS WIFE, mothered US! It was such a blessing to Dr. Waite and me, as well as to PASTOR DANIEL WAITE AND HIS WIFE, Tamie, as with the WHOLE Society! The people in their HOME CHURCH comforted us by their hospitality! There was peace and understanding there, a lovely church building not big,

Perhaps it was the Southern hospitality, I am not sure, but the Lord was magnified. No rancor. No rivalry! No disturbing differences. You would have enjoyed it. The theme-subject for the conference was Bible Preservation. DiVietro, D. A. Waite, & DeWitt I wish you could have been there to see and hear Dr. DiVietro s message on the history of the martyrs, the making of the King James Bible. The official title of his message was WHO SUFFERED FOR BIBLE PRESERVATION? He had two sessions in a row--and it seemed like he had only begun, when he started to close. Dr. DiVietro s health is back, for which we praise and thank the Lord. PRAISE GOD! My husband, DR. D. A. WAITE, who is one of founders of THE DEAN BURGON SOCIETY (and its only president for thirty-four years) was excellent, too, with his PowerPoints on THE DEFINITION OF BIBLE PRESERVATION. His lecture was 40 minutes long, but it went by like ten or twenty minutes to me. If you were not there, you missed good teaching! All the speakers were on target! How good to have DR. ED DeWITT from Galesburg, Illinois. It had been nine years since last he came! Or was it eight? He told my husband that even though he was not well, and really couldn t afford the trip, it was time to show up and make known his support for the Society! As usual, Dr. DeWitt s message was theologically deep with humor in appropriate places as he lectured us on AUTHORITY AND BIBLE PRESERVATION! Spencer, Grumblatt, & Rainey DR. CHRISTIAN SPENCER FROM COLLINGSWOOD, NJ, GAVE A SPEECH FULL OF THOUGHT AND POSITIVELY MEETING OUR NEEDS in his message, BIBLE PRESERVATION AND STANDARDS. It should be read and re-read often! JAMES GRUMBLATT, also from Michigan, is a favorite! His talk on PRESERVATION AND NEW TESTAMENT DEVIATIONS helped us look at words like alway and always and their meanings. PASTOR KEN RAINEY from Greenville, SC, asked, If a banana split does not have a banana, is it a BANANA SPLIT? This was an excellent question as Pastor Rainey proved his point of the necessity to have the proper Greek Text in Bible translation before it should be called a Bible. His message was PRESERVATION AND NEW TESTAMENT TEXT DEVIATIONS.

Waite, & Yun Dr. Don Jasmin from West Branch, Michigan, challenged us the first morning as he boldly proclaimed OLD TESTAMENT TEACHINGS ON PRESERVATION. PASTOR DANIEL S. WAITE S TALK ON THE NEED FOR BIBLE PRESERVATION IN ALL AREAS took us through the Bible. We turned to THE WORDS OF GOD, as he taught us the verses! (He is from New Jersey.) Later in the conference, PASTOR DANIEL WAITE gave a brief history of the DEAN BURGON NEWS. He is the new editor, as of last year, and has encouraged the readers of the DBS NEWS to send him articles for publication. It will be interesting to read what others have thought about and studied. DR. SAMUEL YUN, A WORLDWIDE BIBLE TEACHER, presented OLD TESTAMENT ILLUSTRATIONS OF PRESERVATION, using PowerPoints. It was his first time that the Society has heard him teach. It was an impressive study. (Dr. Yun is from KOREA and New Jersey and attended our church for several years.) Barnett, Moorman, & Winograd A MISSING PERSON WAS DR. ROBERT BARNETT (Grayling, Michigan)! Because of his wife s falling in their home, Pastor Barnett s message was viewed via DVD by us all there in Marietta. We were very sorry about her broken arm, but glad to see him by video there at his own CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH PULPIT teaching us his chosen subject, JESUS TEACHINGS ON BIBLE PRESERVATION. DR. JACK MOORMAN from MORDEN SURREY, ENGLAND, spoke to us by audio tape as he taught NEW TESTAMENT PRESERVATION FROM FIRST JOHN. At the last minute, MR. ROBERT WINOGRAD, from the Chicago, Illinois area, could not be with us for business reasons. We missed his speech on ATTACKS ON BIBLE PRESERVATION. 1,000 Years Means 1,000 Years So pardon me if I just take this at its usual, common, ordinary meaning. A thousand years means a thousand years. Every time in Scripture, when it talks about Adam lived so many years, and the kings so many years, that is it. Here, a thousand years is a thousand years. ( REVELATION: VERSE BY VERSE by Pastor D. Waite 900 Park Ave. Collingswood, NJ Dean Burgon Women Precious & Dear to My Heart th THE DEAN BURGON WOMEN met on Wednesday, July 18 at ten o clock while the men were in their DBS business meeting. From the moment that JUDY COOPER, our host pastor s wife, greeted us with her devotional message, our hearts were hushed. TAMARA WAITE S leading us in singing and then in prayer for our absent executive committee s & advisory council s wives continued to set the tone. JULIE MONAGHAN S and WANDA RAINEY S PERSONAL TESTIMONIES reached our hearts. As CHRIS GRUMBLATT related the story of the sudden suicide of a dear young friend, days before her daughter s wedding, we could feel the moving of God in her family. Personally, I was close to tears. Since last we women met, I had become burdened at the publications of MUSLIM- FRIENDLY BIBLES. One of the results of such bibles is Muslims being converted by the scores who have not changed at all in their lives. They continued to attend their mosques, to pray as usual, to acknowledge Muhammad as their prophet, to think the Quran is inspired, and to make their Muslim creedal confessions. Yet, some missionaries were counting them as converts. All these false professions are called by some CHRISLAMS! So, I looked into the subject, and wrote a speech for THE DEAN BURGON WOMEN hoping their hearts, too, would be burdened. After passing out copies of my 13-page speech to the women, we read it together. I called it A TRANS-TRANSLATIONAL TEMPEST! I had discovered that the powerful WYCLIFFE BIBLE TRANSLATORS and its SUMMER INSTITUTE OF LINGUISTICS (SIL)--new-evangelical organizations--translated wrong words for God as well as doctrinal twists n their wording. In addition to these, there are those who are FUNDAMENTALIST missionary translators who also translated wrong words for God and Jesus Christ, as well as other doctrinal changes. This translation problem has become such a SAD SITUATION that affluent Wycliffe and SIL have temporarily suspended publications of these questionable translations until the end of 2012, while a review panel checks them out. (I will send you my speech, if you want it. PLEASE send postage money. Or look it up on the internet--for free at BibleForToday.org.) After I spoke that morning and gave some announcements, MARTHA YUN sang WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS. She has a voice like a bird. After singing in English, Martha sang in her Korean mother-tongue. It melted our hearts. What a wonderful morning with OUR OWN DEAN BURGON WOMEN. I don t know how anyone would want to miss our times together, BUT SOME DO! MY DAILY BIBLE BLESSINGS HUSBAND-LOVING LESSONS One of the books is called HUSBAND-LOVING LESSONS a gift of $ $7.00 S&H). Years ago, I taught these lessons and saw surprising positive results in the marriages of many men and women. It was not unusual for a husband to see me in a store or at a gas station and thank me for that book. It is a book written for wives no matter how old they are or how many years they have been married. It is really a surprise to see how the Scriptures really work IF the wife is willing to give them a chance. It was rather a surprise to have that book published at the time, for I was almost having a nervous breakdown trying to proofread and correct another large book called MY DAILY BIBLE BLESSINGS FROM MY DAILY BIBLE READING. (BFT $30 + $8 S&H) (Thank God for those who helped me and stayed with the stuff and did not quit on me or my husband! It turned out that my husband had to take over the typing of the corrections after Anne Marie and Julie found them. It was a major project! I was in need of cataract surgery with words and letters jumping all over the place--trying to make the June 1st deadline in time for DBS 2011!)

Waite 900 Park Ave. Collingswood, NJ DON T WRITE LIKE OTHER DEVOTIONAL BOOKS The BLESSING book is a 649-page daily devotional /BIBLE TEACHING/and personal testimony book for women. I think you would like it. It is a $ $7.00 shipping and handling! If you get more than one, we could give you the bookstore price. One friend, who learned so much from her daily BLESSINGS reading, got eight more of them for her friends. I really would like to just plain give it to you, but I can t. One woman said, You don t write like other women. I answered, No, I write honestly and tell it like it is! I ask you, How can a Christian woman in distress be helped if no one tells her that other Christian woman have problems, too? I know it sounds conceited, but it is a VERY different book and very needed. Life is NOT sugar-coated. I am afraid some of us older Christian women are guilty of pretending all is well when it is not. How can we help anyone, if we are not truthful? SINCE READING YOUR BOOK, I VE BEEN READING MY BIBLE One of the things that thrills me is when women say to me, Mrs. Waite, since reading your book, I have begun to read my Bible. Another woman at the DBS MEETING in Georgia told me, that because she was going on a vacation and did not want to miss any day of the daily reading, she copied each day s reading and brought them with her. Another woman from Pennsylvania wrote, Most women s books are all flowery, but yours is not! NOW LET ME MAKE SOMETHING CLEAR: The new reader of THE BLESSINGS BOOK, does not have to wait for the first of the year to read the book. Start with the day you received it and read a blessing a day. One of the surprising things is that women have told me that they actually start reading their Bible every day when they use the BLESSINGS BOOK. At first, I tried to write small little ditties like most daily readings are, but I just couldn t do it. There was too much to say. I was not writing a book at first. I was doing it for me. I NEEDED SPIRITUAL HELP FROM GOD S WORDS. Our son, David, had just died the year before. I asked God to give me one blessing every day (from the 85-verses of our yearly Bible reading schedule) that I could write down FOR ME. And He did. Some days I had to study all day to write something down. Many days I would sit at the computer and say to God, I have no idea what to write, please help me and give me something to say that will bless my heart. The surprising thing is that as I sat there, God helped me and actually blessed my heart for 365 days of the year. I hope you don t mind my going on and on like I am, but it was such a blessing to do this. YOU SHOULD PUT THEM IN A BOOK! Others saw the BLESSINGS as our son, Pastor Daniel Waite, put them out on my for others to read. Some hated that a woman was doing this. Others encouraged me to put them in a book. So, I put them in a book. It is a long, laborious story how it actually got into a book that I won t go into now. But it is in a book! I included my mother s daily devotional thoughts after every day s BLESSING. I found those devotional thoughts in a red leather diary-type book she left behind after she went to Heaven. I read that red leather book in 2008, the year David died. God was preparing my heart with my mother s words for his sudden death. HE KNOWS WHAT WE NEED BEFORE WE KNOW OURSELVES. (You may have ordered Mother s poem book in the past. It is called With Tears in My Heart a gift of $ $7.00 S&H). Within its pages, you will find poetic meditations of a Christian woman. Gertrude Sanborn, my mother, has been in Heaven since I miss her. I am so glad to have her writings with me. When you read them, you will be glad, too. BFT HAS GROWN BEYOND EXPECTATION Our BIBLE FOR TODAY MINISTRIES have grown way beyond any expectation. The outreach is amazing. We are thankful to God that He can use us in our Caleb years. J ust heard from someone in PAKISTAN yesterday who wrote: I am being blessed to join you and it refreshes my spirit! Pastor Waite is preaching from Philippians Sunday mornings at this writing. DICK CARROLL amazes us at the baby Baldwin, and sometimes I sing.

I gave one to all my great grandchildren last year! They loved them! Then I traced their little hands on one of the plain paper pages. They seemed to really like that! My husband s book DEFENDING THE KING JAMES BIBLE has helped many preachers and lay persons to settle the Bible version issue. No one would have left Egypt and no one would have written the Law of God for others to read either. You are always welcome to visit us here in Collingswood. NOW FOR SOME PERSONAL NEWS VITAMINS, MINERALS, & CATARACT SURGERIES My husband s health is fine. He takes this pill called MULTAQ that keeps his heart s rhythm steady! Thank God for good medicines! Of course, he takes vitamins and minerals and all that good stuff, too. As many of you may or may not remember I did tell you--pastor WAITE had a heart attack a few years ago, soon-followed by a small stroke. He is an amazing man! (Of course, I am partial!) He keeps going! I had cataract surgery on both eyes last JULY & OCTOBER. That was after the Collingswood DEAN BURGON SOCIETY BIBLE CONFERENCE last year in Who can forget that time when the air conditioning broke down? You may have forgotten that about twenty-six years ago my husband recovered from Hodgkins Disease. That was a time of chemotherapy and all that recovery. That was a difficult period for us, for we couldn t help but remember that my twenty-year-old sister died from that cancer back in GOD WAS GOOD. Isn t HE always, no matter what? It was during that time that I saw what kind of man my husband really was. In reflection one day, I told that to a friend. And he said, That was the time we saw what kind of a women Vonnie Waite was! When I heard that, I had the strangest feeling come over me. I had no idea anyone was watching me, for my concern was only for my husband! "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
