SOON THE CONGREGATION BEGAN TO LEARN AT FIRST THE NEW LISBON CONGREGATION DIDN T UNDERSTAND THE TEACHING. In fact, I was told, some were on the verge of bewilderment! But, as Dr. Waite taught precept upon precept, line upon line (Isaiah 28:10), the people were ACTUALLY LEARNING in spite of themselves. It was exciting to teach such willing learners. Hopefully all that instruction will bear fruit!

I ve seen pictures of the building. It has a green-grass-color roof. MOST ATTRACTIVE! The white steeple is pointing to the sky. They have all the latest electrical connections to make streaming easier. And listen to this! THE CHURCH IS AIR CONDITIONED! GOOD NEWS! Last year the church building s air conditioning broke down. NEED I SAY MORE? Now Who is Going to Speak At The DBS? th Speakers the FIRST DAY, July 18 BLEST BE THE TIE THAT BINDS PASTOR BARNETT FROM MICHIGAN! The KEYNOTE SPEAKER is DR. WAITE IN TOWACO, NEW JERSEY CHRISTIAN EVANGELICAL MISSION SEMINARY APRIL 2012 I HAVE LOST TRACK OF THE NUMBER OF TIMES MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN AT THIS SEMINARY. This is a unique school for several reasons one being the students are Chinese students--and most of them come from main line CHINA & TAIWAN, as well as other countries. The president and main instructor of the seminary is DR. MOSES YANG. He is committed to the King James Bible and its underlying texts position. A real blessing for Teacher Waite, there in Towaco, is that the students are eager to learn. My husband teaches with an interpreter. A few of the students understand and speak English. Those English/Chinese speaking students were from Holland. Dr. Yang is not only a teacher but also a church planter, establishing Chinese speaking churches in serval countries for Chinese Christians and missionary work. I always enjoy the time spent with these dear people. They are eager to learn, help, and participate. It blesses my heart. They also buy many books from our BFT BOOK TABLE even though they are all in English. Dr. Yang has had my husband s booklet, THE HERESIES OF WESTCOTT AND HORT translated into Chinese. 6 6BFT UPDATE/June-July, 2012, From Yvonne S. Waite 900 Park Ave. Collingswood, NJ THE DAY WE MET CHARLES COLSON PERHAPS YOU ARE WONDERING WHY I M GOING TO WRITE ABOUT CHARLES COLSON ( ). I am writing, not because he died recently in April of 2012, though he did! Everyone is paying tribute to the man. I am writing, not because he had been a powerful man who helped PRESIDENT NIXON run our country, though he had! Neither am I writing because he founded the PRISON FELLOWSHIP, which he did! Nor am I writing because he served a prison sentence for PLEADING GUILTY TO THE OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE IN THE DANIEL ELLSBERG CASE. Colson defamed the character of that man! As you probably remember that defamation of character occurred during the time of the WATERGATE MESS in the Nixon administration around I AM WRITING ABOUT CHARLES COLSON BECAUSE HE DEFAMED THE CHARACTER OF MY HUSBAND, DR. D. A. WAITE, LYING ABOUT HIM IN HIS BOOK, THE BODY! This published book was distributed by the thousands in 1992, not only in the United States of America, but also all over the world. COLSON S FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT DR. WAITE WAS ACCEPTED AS TRUTH BY MANY! Some organizations, with their prominent leading preachers, repeated Colson s falsehoods on their radio & TV programs, as well as quoting his lies as facts in their published works, as if COLSON S word was truth personified! Colson, who had been jailed previously for character defamation, also defamed Dr, Waite s character in his book, THE BODY. Colson did this, in my opinion, to gain an approving smile from the reading world. Personally, I believe he did it for financial gain. THERE ARE SO MANY LIES IN THE BODY book CONCERNING MY HUSBAND THAT I DON T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. For brevity s sake, I will only tell you of a few. Colson wrote that Dr. Waite s ancestors had been New England Baptists for four generations. How false! ON PAGE 91 OF HIS 455-PAGE TOME, COLSON FALSELY WROTE THAT PASTOR WAITE TRADED FISTICUFFS WITH A DEACON RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF THE COMMUNION TABLE. None of that is true! The lies continued paragraph after paragraph. Colson falsely had me, whom he called by a different name, wearing big flowered hats and only speaking when spoken to. Really, there is very little truth about us found in Colson s book. What is found is perverted. Most of the narrative Is a product of Colson s imagination and that of his co-writer, ELLEN SANTILLI VAUGHN. One would think that he would have stopped defaming, maligning, & character assassinating after spending time in prison for it!! YES, THE POLICE WERE CALLED TO IMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH! YES, THERE WAS A MINI-RIOT IN NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS, ONE OCTOBER SUNDAY MORNING MANY YEARS AGO! YES, THE DEACONS AND IMPORTANT CHURCH MEN STORMED THE PLATFORM! No, no one fell to the floor. Yes, the organ power had been turned off. Yes, I was called to the piano. Yes, a church leader slammed the piano lid down. Yes, my father, who was visiting the church that day, came to the aid of me, his daughter! The truth! My husband, the pastor, stayed on the platform. There was no one in the choir at the time. No one s right hook took the pastor down, nor did the flower arrangement fly in the air, sprinkling water everywhere not even on an alleged visiting Presbyterian. Yes, the police were called at the request of the pastor. Yes, order was restored! COLSON S VIVID EMBELLISHMENT OF THE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED THAT SUNDAY MORNING, ALMOST FIFTY YEARS AGO, WOULD HAVE LIVED ON IN PRINT IN HIS BOOK, EXCEPT FOR ONE THING. Because of the open LIBEL (written slander) from CHARLES COLSON S PEN, Dr. Waite took Mr. Colson to court for LIBEL and WON THE CASE! It was settled out of court. YES, IT IS TRUE, WE MET CHUCK COLSON PERSONALLY. He looked just like he looked previously on television when he was involved in the ELLSBERG CASE. That was a case in some way associated with Watergate! THERE HE WAS THAT DAY IN A CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY COURTHOUSE, SITTING AT A LONG RECTANGLE TABLE WITH HIS HIGH POWERED LAWYERS. Yes, there he was--guilty ONCE AGAIN of defamation of character! WHEN COLSON WAS ASKED WHY HE DID NOT CONTACT DR. WAITE PERSONALLY TO CHECK OUT THE FACTS OF HIS BOOK, MR. COLSON S SAID, I THOUGHT DR. WAITE HAD DIED! THE TRUTH WAS THAT COLSON NEVER ATTEMPTED TO FIND MY HUSBAND TO DISCOVER THE TRUTH! We Waites moved into our Collingswood, New Jersey home from Newton, Massachusetts, in 1965, AND HAVE NEVER MOVED SINCE! That was 47 years ago!
