6 Introduction The purpose of this booklet is not to set dates about events in the Bible, but to give a general overview of the flow of end-time events. Prophecy is important because it relates to our lives now and what is happening now. We are going to start with our current time period and go all the way until the beginning of the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ. Once we understand the general flow of end-time events, we can make better sense of Bible Prophecy. Enjoy! 6

7 Chapter 1 The Time of Jacob s Trouble Bible Verses (some of many): Leviticus 26:14-45, Deut. 28, Jeremiah Our current prophetic time period is called The Time of Jacob s Trouble. As aforementioned in previous booklets, the United States and British peoples are the two main nations mentioned in prophecy. They are identified as JACOB or ISRAEL. Jeremiah 30:4-8 4 These are the words the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah: 5 This is what the Lord says: Cries of fear are heard terror, not peace. 6 Ask and see: Can a man bear children? Then why do I see every strong man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor, every face turned deathly pale? 7 How awful that day will be! No other will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it. 8 In that day, declares the Lord Almighty, I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds; Notice that God addresses both Israel and Judah (in bold). He then calls it the time of JACOB s TROUBLE. JACOB is a reference to the northern tribes! The majority of this prophecy has to do with the time of trouble for the Northern Tribes. Some people confuse this time period with the Tribulation. There is a difference between the Time of Jacob s Trouble and the Great Tribulation! Let s look deeper. Speaking of the Great Tribulation, Jesus said, For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22, KJV) In the verses above and Luke 21:34-36, Jesus mentioned that the Great Tribulation will come upon all who live on the earth. As He said in Matthew except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. The Great Tribulation affects all flesh on earth. The Time of Jacob s Trouble is a time of punishment 7

8 on Jacob, God s covenant people. It is a specific or selective judgment that comes upon them. It starts before the Great Tribulation. The Apostle Peter tells us, For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (II Peter 4:7). Before God can release the time of Tribulation upon the whole world, He must judge HIS household first. He will judge His people. It continues from now until the Public Return of the Lord. It overlaps with all the other time periods between now and then. The specific chapters in the Bible that specifically address this are Jeremiah chapters 30 and 31. The Time of Jacob s Trouble is God removing Jacob the United States and British Peoples from the head of the nations to the tail of the nations. We can see this process happening now. It will be the worst time of punishment on any people at any time. In Jeremiah 31:11, God said, For the Lord will deliver Jacob and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they. We will be destroyed by those stronger than us. This means we must be diminished and reduced economically, militarily, and politically. There must be someone stronger than us so that we can be brought down. The destruction of our peoples will allow for the Beast Power to rise out of Europe. Leviticus 26: But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands, 15 and if you reject my decrees and abhor my laws and fail to carry out all my commands and so violate my covenant, 16 then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it. 17 I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you. 18 If after all this you will not listen to me, I will punish you for your sins seven times over. 19 I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze. 20 Your strength will be spent in vain, because your soil will not yield its crops, nor will the trees of your land yield their fruit. 21 If you remain hostile toward me and refuse to listen to me, I will multiply your afflictions seven times over, as your sins deserve. 22 I will send wild animals against you, 8

9 and they will rob you of your children, destroy your cattle and make you so few in number that your roads will be deserted. I just want to point out one thing from these verses in Leviticus 26 the seven times punishments. We had seven major terrorist attacks from 1993 to The first world trade center attack was in In 1995, there was a terrorist attack on Americans in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In June 1996, there was an attack on a US military complex in the Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia. In 1998, we had the attack on the US Embassy in Kenya. At the same time, there was an attack on the US Embassy in Tanzania. In 2000, we had the USS Cole bombing. Lastly, we had the second world trade center attack in From 2004 to 2005, we had seven major hurricanes: Jeanne, Frances, Rita, Ivan, Charles, Wilma, and Katrina. It is important to note that these seven were seven out of the nine costliest in US history. And so was the verse fulfilled which said, They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7a). From the end of 2007 through the end of 2014, we had seven years of economic downturns. In the stock crash of 2008, the market fell points in one day! We have had many sevens of punishment happen to this nation these are punishments of intensity! God is judging our nation. As God said in Hosea 7:9b His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice it. Our nations days are numbered, but we do not realize it. Leviticus 23: If in spite of these things you do not accept my correction but continue to be hostile toward me, 24 I myself will be hostile toward you and will afflict you for your sins seven times over. 25 And I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands. The United States and British Commonwealth will be destroyed by their enemies! This is the next phase of Jacob s Trouble. Our nation will be despoiled! All who make spoil of you I will de- 9

11 Chapter 2 The Rescue of the Bride Bible Verses (some): Matthew 24:40-42, (Luke 21:12-18, 34-36), John 14:1-4, (I Thess. 4:13-18, 5:1-9), Hebrews 9:28, I Peter 1:3-13, Rev. 3:7-13, Rev. 12:7-17 There is a prophetic event that takes place right around the time of the invasion of the United States/British peoples. It is called the Rescue of the Bride. It is when the Bride of Christ and the Bride s Maids are taken from earth to celebrate the wedding supper of the Lamb. We then return with Christ at His public return. The dead in Christ and those taken will be resurrected to a glorified body. Some have dismissed this belief as escapism ; I tend to just call it the Bible. Both Enoch and Elijah were taken from earth without experiencing death. This means we have Old Testament foreshadows to support this event. Another pattern we find in the Bible is God delivering His chosen and faithful from destruction. Noah and his family were lifted above the destructive flood happening below them. Once the destruction was over, they came back down and repopulated the earth. This is the same pattern for the Rescue. Lot and his family were taken outside the city before the destruction came. Jesus compares the last days to the days of Noah and the days of Lot for this same reason! In Matthew 24:40-41, Jesus said that at His return, Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. The Greek word for taken is paralambano. It is also used of a man taking his bride to the wedding. The Greek word for left behind is aphiemi, and it means divorced. When Christ returns, some will be taken to the wedding while others will be divorced. The pattern of Christ s return follows the pattern of His ascension. Before Christ s first ascension into Heaven, He appeared 11

12 secretly and suddenly to Mary, who was a woman (John 20:11-18). Jesus then appeared to many people and ascended into Heaven (Acts 1:1-11, I Cor. 15:6). In the first part of Christ s second coming, He will appear secretly and suddenly to take the woman of Revelation 12 to the wedding (Matt. 24:40-44). He will later appear to all men (Matt. 24:30). The Jewish wedding is binding at betrothal. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are betrothed to Christ. When He returns, He will see who has been faithful. This is not about an escape from trouble. It is about protecting a bride from the devil. It is also about judging lukewarm believers. People will be left behind because they didn t take their relationship with God seriously. They didn t want to obey His Word or appreciate the sacrifice of Christ. As we discussed earlier in this booklet, God judges HIS people first (II Peter 4:7). The ancient Hebrew wedding celebration lasted seven days. Using the day for a year prophetic reckoning of time, this brings us to seven years. When the Bride and bridesmaids are taken to the place of safety in heaven, a seven-year wedding celebration will commence. At the same time, the final seven year period from Daniel s prophecy of 70 weeks will commence on earth. The majority of Christians will be left behind on earth to endure this time period. 12

13 Chapter 3 The Great Tribulation (also called the Wrath of Satan against the saints) Bible Verses (some): Daniel 7:24-26, Matthew 24:1-28, II Thess. 2:1-17, (Revelation 6:1-11, 11:1-7, 12:17, 13:1-10, 11-18) After the fall of the US and British Peoples, a seven year peace treaty is signed with many nations at the start of the Tribulation. This is found in Daniel 9:27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (or one seven): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Daniel s 70th week or final seven-year period is divided into two parts: The Great Tribulation and the Wrath of God. Revelation 6:1-11 describes the first five of Seven Seals. The Seven Seals reveal the state of the world after the US/British are removed. There will be famine, regional wars, and disease. This crisis provokes Europe to elect a strong-man dictator who will be Germanic in background. In 2 Thess. 2:7, Paul wrote: For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. As aforementioned, the United States and British Peoples have protected free trade and religious freedom around the world for centuries. When our nations are taken out of the way militarily, the Great Tribulation will commence shortly thereafter. The free flow of gospel around the world will cease at this time. The man of iniquity, the man of lawlessness, the anti-christ, will come to power as a result of Joseph s destruction. When we are taken out of the way, the world will be able to ask the question: And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:4). 13

14 During this time, the False Prophet, who is the Pope, will perform many signs and wonders, even causing fire to come from Heaven. He will force people to submit to the authority of the Catholic Church. He will administer the Mark of the Beast upon the whole world. Those who do not submit to their authority will be labeled a non-conformist and killed. A light of hope also shines during this time. The Two Witnesses, Enoch and Elijah, will appear to the US/British and preach their identity. They will restore the True Ways of God to them in captivity! They will also go to the Jewish people and reveal their Messiah to them! They will further prophesy to the entire world! During the Great Tribulation, a tremendous evangelistic work takes place among the Christians left behind. All the Christians left behind are martyred for refusing to take the Mark of the Beast. An uncountable number of people are won to the Lord (Rev. 7:9-14). It will be a terrible time to be alive, but God uses it for His Glory. 14

15 Chapter 4 The Wrath of God Bible Verses: Revelation 8:5-9:21, 11:11-15, 14:1-5, 15-16, 18:4-5 The second half of Daniel s 70 th week is called The Wrath of God. It will be the worst time in the history of the world to be alive. Several events occur just before this time period begins: The Two Witnesses are killed. The 144,000 are marked by God. The seven year peace treaty is broken and the anti-christ commits the abomination that makes desolate. The prayers of the saints killed during the Great Tribulation are offered on the altar of incense in Heaven. In the middle of the seventieth week of Daniel, the anti-christ will break the peace treaty by committing the abomination that makes desolate. He will send one-half of Jerusalem into captivity (Zech. 14:1-2). These events mark the transition period from the first 3 ½ years (called the Great Tribulation) to the last 3 ½ years (called the Wrath of God). In the wrath of God, the Seven Trumpet Judgments and Seven Bowl Judgments are poured out. In this last 3 ½ years, the torment on the Northern Tribes in captivity will increase. God will also be pouring out Judgment on all mankind, Israelite and Gentile. At some point during this last 3 ½ years, things begin to change. When the 144,000 are spared from judgment and then taken to heaven, many Israelites still alive will wake up. This is much in the same way as the Christians who are left behind come to their senses when the Bride is taken from the earth in the Rescue of the Bride. The last part of the Wrath of God is called the Seven Bowl Judgments. In them, the unrepentant will suffer immeasurable pain. God will literally keep them alive to bear the full measure of His Judgment. They will want to die and not be able to (Revelation 9:6). God will spare those who repent (Amos 5:4). 15

16 Just before the seven bowls are poured out, the Israelite and Jewish people flee captivity and return back to the Promised Land (Revelation 18:4-6). God actually tells us that the Seven Bowl Judgments are for the Daughter of Babylon. They are destined for those who continue to have confidence in her and not the Lord. Those who repent, regardless of nationality, will be free to come to the Lord. Israel and Judah, our people, will be the first in turning back. This will precede the public coming of the Lord! 16

17 Chapter 5 Public Return of the Lord Bible Verses: Isaiah 11:10-16, (Jeremiah 31:23-34, 50:4-6), Zech. 9:14-17, Zech. 12, 14:1-15, Matthew 24:27-31, Revelation 17:14, 19:11-21 At the end of the Wrath of God, the remaining nations launch a final attack on Jerusalem in the valley called Armageddon. The 200 million man army from the Eastern Asian countries will march. The Russians will gather all of their men and march from the north. They are marching to battle the forces of the anti-christ stationed at Jerusalem to gain global dominance. They are also chasing the children of Israel and Judah who are fleeing captivity. Just when the Israelite and Jewish people approach the Promised Land and all these armies are gathered in the valley of Armageddon, the Heavens will open. All the nations will mourn. At this time, Jesus is revealed to the inhabitants of the earth on a white horse. The armies of Heaven are behind Jesus, which includes all the Christians who were taken at the Rescue. We will return with Jesus and slay the armies gathered to destroy Jerusalem! As the people of Israel and Judah see the Lord return, they will weep with repentance. For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes (Isaiah 65:16b). Then the Lord will establish the New Covenant with the natural seed of Israel and Judah, as He promised (Jeremiah 31:23-34). This will end the time of Jacob s Trouble. The Lord said in the beginning of our Trouble: It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it. (Jeremiah 30:7b). We will return with Judah weeping and repenting before the Lord. Furthermore, the Beast (the Roman system) and the False Prophet (Pope) will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. They will not be remembered any more. 17

18 Chapter 6 Satan Goes Into the Pit Bible Verses: Isaiah 24:21-23, Zech. 13:1-3, Rev. 20:1-3 After Jesus comes back and slays the enemy armies at Armageddon, Satan and all of his angels are bound and thrown into the Abyss. Satan and his angels must be removed from the world so that the Rule of Jesus Christ can begin on planet earth. This is the final prophetic fulfillment of the day of Atonement. On Atonement, two goats were killed. One goat was killed as a sin offering; this goat represents Jesus, who willingly died for our sins. The second goat, called the azazel goat, had the sins of the people confessed over it. It was then chased over a cliff and killed. Because we sin, we deserve the ultimate penalty of the second death in the Lake of Fire. Jesus died for us as our substitution; He died in our place that we might have life. Satan is the azazel goat because he participates in our sin. While each of us choose to sin, Satan tempted us. Just look at the Garden of Eden. The serpent tempted Adam to eat from the wrong tree. His evil influence opened the way for sin and curses to enter into the world. When satan tempted Adam and Eve to sin in the Garden, he and his angels received thrones of authority on earth. Before God s children can be seated on those thrones to rule and reign forever, satan s forces will be removed. 18

19 Chapter 7 The Millennium Bible Verses: Isaiah 2:1-5, Micah 4:1-5, Zech. 14:16-21, Revelation 20:4-6, 7-10 After God s enemies have been dealt with, Christ will sit on the throne of David on planet earth. At the very beginning of the Millennium, those who were killed in the Tribulation are resurrected to glorified bodies (Rev. 20:4-6). We will then celebrate Jesus Christ being inaugurated as King over the earth. His called, chosen, and faithful will rule with Him. Christ s government will be the only government on earth, and all the nations will run to seek the spiritual ways of our God. While Christians will be glorified beings at this time, the people who survive the Wrath of God will be flesh and blood. They will still be able to have children. For 1,000 years, we will teach them and their descendants the way of God. In Micah 4:2, it says that the Law will go out from Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. This shows us that the Kingdom of God will be ruled by spiritual authority (Zion) based from a physical location (Jerusalem). These verses go on to say that many nations will come and ask the children of God to teach them God s ways! In the Kingdom of God, we will all worship the same Father in the same way through one Son. The Feasts of the Lord will be celebrated world-wide by all peoples (see Ezekiel 46:1-14, Zechariah 14:16). We will all worship the same Father in the same way so that Christ is all in all through us! The nations of the world are going to see peaceful mediation as a more attractive alternative than going to war. Nations will not even train for war during the Millennium! There will be plenty for everyone. It will be the greatest time of prosperity that has ever existed on planet earth. No one will have the thought to try to take from someone else because everyone will have plenty. There will be no fear that someone else will steal from you. A world 19

20 without fear! Imagine that! God s government will give people genuine opportunities to climb out of poverty. Every family will be given a permanent inheritance. You will be allowed to take your plot of land and do whatever brings you the most joy in life! Land can be used for any pursuit in life. You must have land for farming, to have a building for a business, for office space, and many other ventures. There will be no prisons. In God s government, if a person cannot pay a debt or steals money, he will be required to work as a servant until he pays the debt or repays what was stolen. The whole purpose of treating criminals this way is so that they can be rehabilitated through hard work and personal relationships. It will be the greatest time in the history of humanity up to that point. God is going to show us how we can achieve more in 1,000 years of doing things HIS way that we did in the 6,000 years we had it to do our own way. At the end of the Millennium, Satan is released to test those born during this time. Everyone must choose the way of God over the way of the devil! A great multitude follow his deception and march on Jerusalem, but they are destroyed (Rev. 20:7-10). 20

22 Meet the Author Kelly McDonald Jr. is an ordained Evangelist at Hungry Hearts Ministries in Jackson, TN. For 21 years, Kelly attended Trinity Baptist Church in Bemis, TN, where he was saved in While at Trinity, a small independent Baptist church, Kelly learned boldness for the Kingdom of God and that being a Christian is an all or nothing experience. In June 2006, Kelly was called to his first ministry, going door to door in the Bemis community and inviting people to church. In September 2006, Kelly was called to begin a Christian men s group at his then college, Lambuth University. In February 2007, Kelly was called to preach. Less than a month later, he became introduced to Hungry Hearts Ministries. Since becoming a member of Hungry Hearts, Kelly has taken on many roles to further the ministry s work, from going door-todoor to pass out booklets, preaching, administering the prison ministry, teaching Bible Studies, and starting churches.
