4 Our vision for our ishare Learning themes In September 2013 we began to centre our worship around Bible themes that we could explore together throughout a half term. We devised our ishare Learning themes to be centred around a Bible memory verse that we all learn and explore its meaning. These themes allow us to explore in greater depth what the Bible tells us about how to live our lives, in our school community and beyond. This means that in each school year, the children learn to understand and apply six Bible verses to their lives. Here are some photos from this year, that tell the story

5 Autumn Reaching High Reaching High I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done. Philippians 3v14

6 ishare buddies Every half term, we get together with our ishare buddies (in a different class and of a different age group) to explore our current theme in a creative way. In October we discussed how we can help each other to reach our goals by praying for one another. We also made posters sharing our ideas.

8 Autumn Light shines in darkness

9 ishare buddies In December ishare buddies met to reflect on what Jesus meant when he said that he was the light of the world and how He brings light into our lives even in difficult times. We had fun together making a decoration for our Christmas trees at home

12 Spring Words of Life

13 ishare buddies This theme really challenged us and made us think carefully about how we speak to one another and about the power of God s word in the world. For our ishare buddy activity in January, we met together and explored what we had learned using role play and drama

15 When we meet together with our buddies, we always share a time of prayer too. Dear God, Thank you for our Laleham school community. Help us to always give words of kindness, encouragement and hope to our classmates, teachers and families. Help us to be quick to say 'sorry' and forgive each other when things go wrong and our feelings are hurt. We know that we can do this with your help... Amen

16 Spring God so loved the World

17 ishare buddies We met together in March to think about what we knew about God s love. After lots of discussions, we each made a prayer card by drawing round our hand and writing our prayer requests on it. These then made a lovely display in our classrooms

20 Summer We are family

21 ishare Learning competition In the Spring term we held a competition to design an ishare theme for next year. There were so many great entries that it was difficult to choose! Lydia Skelly and Cora Maycock-Prime won the competition with their theme, Sacrifices, as well as Eliza Gorrod with her theme, Follow God s Word we will be sharing their great ideas in our calendar of ishare themes for next year!
