25 Thoughts on the Table of Showbread The Loaves were made from flour, produce from the Great Landlord in His providence. Subjected to a fiery trial when baked into cakes {Kawlan wounded } speaks to the trials of Christ The Oil in baking is symbolic of the spirit-word. Jesus was the Word made flesh. The loaves were un-leaven and pointed to the sinless-ness of Christ Israel was represented in the Holy Place by the 12 unleavened loaves. Salvation is of the Jews to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, the giving of the Law and the promises. The horns on the Altar of showbread, Altar of incense, and the Altar of Sacrifice links these together as a sweet smelling savor arising from the perfect sacrifice of Christ and now His mediatorship.
