How we walk in fullness of Spirit! 2 - We aren t here for more information... - We re here for revelation and transformation - We re here so we can live differently... ( Our Sunday s gotta change Monday )! This power is power to scatter us into a hurting world,! - Primarily to share the Gospel with them. You shall receive power to be my witnesses - To LIVE these short lives God has given us - To drive our lives like we stole them - to get as many people as we can to hear the Gospel... before our time is over - Power to be His witnesses... that is what we should think about

Like the space program... - Cordless tools invented for space / Fire resistant fabric - Smoke detective / Memory foam - Fire fighting gear / Freeze drying tech - Water purification / Solar panels - Cochlear Implants NASA claims that there are over 1650 other spin-offs BUT...! Spirit s Primary purpose for us is to have the power to proclaim the Gospel! How do we Catch Fire?! #1 It s a Command not a Suggestion! [ Ephesians 5.18 NKJV ] And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,! God will never tell you to do something that He is not willing to help you to accomplish!! - His Command is always His enablement! - Be Holy... ( good luck with that! ) - Jesus came and His righteousness was transferred to our account - Be Filled with the Spirit (Not as mysterious as some think)! - Anything Holy Spirit has revealed, WE can be clear on it - Be clear on this... Ask the Father and He will give you the Spirit... VERY CLEAR 3

First step to being filled with Holy Spirit... 4 A Want To Be Filled! - In asking for the HOLY Spirit... you re asking To Be Made Holy! - Many of us don t want to be holy...!!!!!!!! we want other things that aren t Holy! - Holy Spirit is jealous and doesn t want to share you! - You have to know you really want Holy Spirit in you! - Ask - Receive in Faith - Then GO believing it has happened Don t tarry... Church s problem is we better at tarrying than we are at going - Reason disciples tarried is Holy Spirit hadn t come yet - He has - so GO! - We mistakenly think we have to wait till we fill Holy Spirit - EMOTIONAL! - When the Spirit comes, Jesus will be glorified - Start glorifying Jesus and the Spirit will come Pray: God fill me with Your Spirit today... then GO - Even if you don t feel it... walk up to that person (example of sister & I witnessing)! - Don t wait for God to blow mighty wind

5 before you invite someone to church Don t Pray: God if it s your will you want me to talk...!!!!!! have him order a Big Mac and not the Cheeseburger IT S ALWAYS GOD S WILL!!!!! Next Step is... - As you do it... - NOW He gives you a verse... - NOW He let s you feel it It s a ongoing relationship, not a one time thing [ Ephesians 5.18 NKJV ]...but be (being) filled with the Spirit! In Greek it s a present imperative... a command that is on going - It s NOT a one time thing It s a constant living under the spout where the glory comes out -Levi - YOU MUST CHOOSE constantly being dripped into! - Yesterday s filling is NOT enough! - Can t live on OLD MANNA Take enough for today - TOP YOUR TANK OFF; DON T WAIT FOR IT TO RUN EMPTY - Cell phone commercial - Some days are more draining on your battery - Practice the presence of God - Pray without Ceasing - Like instant messaging on the computer all the time... 5

6 !!!!!! Let your heart commune with Jesus, while...!!!!!!! your hands are busy with the world -Spurgeon! Only you can prevent yourself from being on fire No one can stop you from being Baptized a fresh! - You can be as on fire for God as you want Each man is as full of the Spirit as they care to be A.W. Tozer - We think it is OUT OF OUR control all the time You want to catch fire?... You got to be flammable 1. Be mindful of God s allergies HOW? He can feel sad - We allow things in our hearts He s allergic to - Sin is fire retardant for your soul... all sin is that way Especially Pride... - God oppose the proud but gives grace to the humble...!!!! So pride in our hearts will cause us to loss that filling! So... we must be emptied of ourselves before receiving.!! Holy Spirit is allergic to divisiveness! [ Psalm NKJV ]

7 7 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.! - EXPLAINED - Oil is symbolic of Holy Spirit - Also symbolic of Holy Spirit s ANOINTING, ENERGIZING, and EMPOWERING us for duty - Anointing & POWER is unlocked when God s people come together as one - Unity causes the oil to flow... so division cause the empowering to dry up - Book of Acts They were all in One Accord in one place Filled with the Spirit - Holy Spirit is allergic to divisiveness!! If you ignore Him - He will go away! - Sign at dentist If you ignore your teeth they will go away! [ Psalm NKJV ] Do not quench the Spirit. - If you don t pay attention to a fire is will burn out! - Holy Spirit doesn t leave us... His empowering is gone - We will lose His fullness and His power - We can lose the anointing 2. We must Sweat the Small Stuff - All winter Jenny and I s car lost air in tire... - A little nail will bring a car to a screeching halt

9 Genesis At end of flood... DOVE found a place to live So it came to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made. 7 Then he sent out a raven, which kept going to and fro until the waters had dried up from the earth. 8 He also sent out from himself a dove, to see if the waters had receded from the face of the ground. 9 But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned into the ark to him, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her, and drew her into the ark to himself. 10 And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark. 11 Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth. 12 So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, which did not return again to him anymore.! Matthew 3.16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.! Everything Jesus did on earth was through the power of the Holy Spirit in Him! The dove in Bible is symbolic of the Holy Spirit! - Noah sent out dove hoping it would not come back but stay where it was... but it didn t find a home - Bible says that God the Father has sent out His Holy Spirit - Jesus said I will go to heaven and pray the Father and He will send another helper - On day of Pentecost - Peter declared, today is the day Jesus said would come... The PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 9

10 - God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh,... not just kings but ALL But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. - John BUT... this dove that has been sent out by God is looking for a place to dwell... opened up to Him fully - Like Jesus - the dove came alighting upon Jesus God is looking to pour out His Spirit on US ALL! 2 Chronicles 16.9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.! - Who is giving God Space???? It s not great abilities God blesses It s availability Will you give God room to land?
