7 Baptism Baptism Read Me! Baptism is the outward expression of the commitment you made to Christ in your heart. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith. This demonstration shows others what you believe and allows Christians to celebrate publicly your commitment to Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save you, it shows that you are already saved. Baptism doesn t win you forgiveness or cleanse you from sin, it shows that you are already forgiven. Baptism doesn t make you a believer, it shows that you already believe and want to commit your life fully to Jesus Christ. Baptism means To dip under When you are baptized you will be gently dunked under water for a few seconds and raised back up. This demonstration shows what you believe about Jesus Christ and is a step in obedience. Jesus Himself was baptized and tells all Christians to be baptized (Read Matthew 28:19-20). 20). Jesus died for our sins and was laid in a tomb for 3 days. And so, we are laid beneath the water. Jesus rose 3 days later and conquered death and sin and cleansed us from our sin when we believed. And so, we are raised back up from the water, fresh and clean. Why do you personally want to be baptized? 4

The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
