1 Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:19 Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 6:33 New Living Translation (NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

15 Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 12:1-3 New Living Translation (NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. We love because he first loved us.
