6 What is our mission from God? Our vision is to see lives changed and communities impacted for good through God s Grace in Action Our mission is to share God s Grace in Action with all people for all of life

7 What is our mission from God? 1. The Great Commission Go and make disciples of all nations, baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you Matthew 28v19-20

8 What is our mission from God? 2. To be good news to the poor The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord s favour Luke 4v18-19

9 What is our mission from God? 3. To be agents of the Kingdom of God Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6v9-10

11 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand Matthew 3v2

12 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches Matthew 13v31-32

13 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field Matthew 13v44

14 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations Psalm 145v13

15 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done Jesus went teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people Matthew 4v23

16 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done Jesus sent them out to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal Luke 9v2

17 The Kingdom of God is where God reigns and where God s will is done We are Christ s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us 2 Corinthians 5v20

18 Where does the church fit with all this? When the church does its job properly the Kingdom comes; and where the Kingdom comes the church will be built

21 We are people on a mission Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen
