2 Living the New Life Romans 6: Where does this new life begin?

3 1. Where does this new life begin? Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

4 a) We are united with Christ in His death v5: For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,

5 a) We are united with Christ in His death (v5) * Our old self is crucified with Him v6: knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

7 *Our Slavery to sin has ended v7: For he who has died has been freed from sin. (6:17-18: But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

8 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Romans 8-11: Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him

9 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Romans 8-11: 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

10 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Because we have a new heart Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

11 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Because we have a new spirit Ezekiel 36:27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them..

12 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Because we have a new song Psalms 40:3 He has put a new song in my mouth Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.

13 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Because we have a new name Revelation 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.

14 b) We are alive with Christ in His resurrection Because we have a new beginning 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

15 Living the New Life Romans 6: Where does this new life begin? From Jesus Christ 2. What does this new life means? We are united with Christ in His death We are alive with Christ in His resurrection

17 Prayer Dear Jesus Christ, I pray to united with You in your death and alive with You in Your resurrection in living the new life. Amen
