Participants will receive a Rosary and will be given instruction on how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Divine Mercy Novena.

Putting It All Together If we want our teaching to be effective it is not enough to quickly read over a lesson once or twice before teaching it. This workshop will go over lesson planning, getting feedback from children through different testing techniques and the art of questioning. Discovering the Religious World of Young Children Through the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Children live in a different religious world. The way they live their relationships with God is quite different from ours. This workshop will explore the religious potential of the 3-6 year old child and offer suggestions for nurturing their spiritual life. How To Teach the Safe Environment Principles to Children This session explores how to talk to young children and teenagers about inappropriate touching and sexual abuse. Building on the solid foundation of God having created us out of love, we will discuss how to help children understand the importance of their bodies as they interact with God s created world as well as how to help them establish appropriate boundaries with others. 1. Teaching Morality to Teenagers Practical examples of evangelizing teens about the Church s moral teaching. Particular examples will concentrate on Thou Shalt Not Kill, but will also include examples of lying and stealing. 2. Discussing Difficult Moral Topics With Adults and Teens Practical discussion of moral topics and how to explain them to a skeptical audience. Topics to include marriage/matrimony/divorce/annulment/gay marriage/invitro fertilization (IVF)/stem cell research.

Graham Burnett Science Historian/Writer/Editor Doing God s Work At Ungodly Hours We are called to live lives of prayer and service and sometimes that means early mornings, late nights or long hours. This workshop will discuss Kerry s efforts to participate fully in city life and in the life of the Church while still maintaining her sanity. It will offer thoughts on how to balance breadlines and deadlines and how to find a moment s rest in the city that never sleeps. Biblical Art in The Religious Education Classroom Learn how biblical art has an influence on a child s perception of faith and how to use it for family catechesis. Learn how to use biblical art to tell the story of the Bible, to help your students understand the importance of art, and the way the Bible was depicted at different times with different people. 6/12/14
