Dr. Paul J. Kirbas Dear Congregation, As we continue through this season of Lent, we are looking at the passages of the Gospels in which Jesus is addressed with one of his two main titles, the Son of God and the Son of Man. Seeing these stories in light of these titles can give us a new perspective of what they really mean and the lessons they really give us. Today we encounter one of the bestknown verses of the Bible, but could it be that we have been reading it in the wrong way? Let s continue this journey, and discover the possibility! This journey of Lent is on, what we might call, the back side of Easter. Our Adult Education Committee has decided to focus on this idea for our congregational book read during Lent. It is a book entitled Easter from the Back Side and is written by Dr. J Ellsworth Kalas, former president and faculty member of Asbury Theological Seminary. I want to invite you to join our book study and to join one of the small groups that will discuss the book together. When you sign up in the Garden Court, we will put you in a group that fits your schedule. Several of the groups will meet during our Wednesday Bridge program that began this past Wednesday night. We will share a simple dinner meal together and then go into our small groups. Please sign up today! Last Sunday we began a new worship service at our North Campus. The service is now at 11:00 AM. A new musical team is leading the music in a Jazz way, and one of our pastors will be leading the liturgy. The sermon will be presented on the screens, and it will be the same sermon that I am offering at the Central Campus. This new service is off to a great start! Please help us share the news about this new worship opportunity. And now, let us continue our Lenten journey as we follow this person Jesus, The Son of God and the Son of Man!
