2 Nicois Set To Release Fight in Summer 2014 Nicois (pronounced Neh -quois) is a woman of God who has been saturated with an undeniable gift of song. She represents a chosen generation full of expression, creativity, and poise, and is called to inspire and uplift through the vehicle of music. Not one to be pigeon-holed, the D.C. area-based artist is breaking out of the box, blending universal, powerful, and effective music for the Christian believer that stretches across genres, races and even continents. Her initial project Un-Di-Ni-A-Bel received outstanding reviews, which included a video for the immensely popular song Digital World, and national radio airplay for Undeniable, and Glorious. Although Nicois is currently enjoying the huge success of Un-De-Ni-A-Bel, she s delighted to present Fight, an album of encouragement, motivation and a few songs of worship. Nicois released The Way You Love Me an upbeat teaser produced by Subwolfaa to prepare her audience for what s to come in her redefined sound and purpose. This electric, pop infused track is definitely the prelude to one of the most anticipated projects in Nicois' sophomore project, scheduled to be released in 2014, will highlight the excellent songwriting and production talent of her "Un-Di-Ni-A-Bel" crew, Subwolfaa and Kurtis Parks, in addition to a few new surprises. "I am so excited about the way this project is coming together; it is definitely the next level, and I want my fans, partners and supporters to enjoy the ride". In a response to several inquiries as to why the title of her album is called "FIGHT" she responds, "everyone desires to be a WINNER, but in this microwave society no one wants to GO THROUGH the process of WINNING, especially when you're in a season where it seems like the challenges you're facing are unwarranted and unprovoked. I love the story of King Jehoshaphat (2 Chr 20). The battle was the Lord's. It was his business to do the fighting, but Jehoshaphat was on the hook to "FIGHT" as well, albeit all he had to do was SHOW UP. I believe this is where we're missing it. Our "Fight" is a mental posture, a refusal to run away, a refusal to retreat into self-indulgent and self-protective devices. This season pushed me to smash the glass of yet another convenient boundary between He and I, and trust in the unseen One that has already conquered the world. Just as I put the sledge hammer down, I could hear Him say...it's TIME TO FIGHT...AND IT'S TIME TO WIN (1 Thess 5:5-8). Nicois music ministry isn't typically what audiences hear from a gospel artist. The Lord has given her a unique calling. God has directed me to speak to the nations, explains Nicois. Because of the instruction from Him, my music has an international flair. It's that international flair that opened doors for Nicois to minister in Africa, specifically Ghana in October 2011, and the international ministry requests are still flowing. The impact her ministry has had on her international audience has been quite humbling for the artist. Daughter of Pastor Jeremiah and First Lady Sheila Carter, mother, and worship leader and choir director at Agape Embassy Ministries where she serves Drs. 3 Nicois Bio Born in Arlington, VA, Nicois desire to reach the masses through the ministry of melodies was planted at an early age. Church became a weekly part of her life during summer visits with her grandmother. At the age of seven, Nicois joined the choir at Macedonia Baptist Church where she became a devout member. She participated in school choirs as well. She quickly developed a passion for music which perfectly accented her powerful, gutwrenching voice. However, it was after the death of her father that Nicois began to immerse herself into writing and singing. As a young adult, Nicois swayed towards the secular industry, singing for local bands in the Washington, DC area while working with local producers for various projects. Her career as a secular singer was a successful one, but she always felt a little uncomfortable. Gospel music became a major focus and she began singing for a well-known gospel choir named Images of Unity under the direction of the renowned Kenny Taylor. After singing for a funeral of a very close friend, Nicois was asked to be the lead singer of a renowned gospel band called Krazy Praise. This vehicle allowed her to travel throughout the DC area, displaying her vocal talents to congregations throughout the city. It was during this season of her life that she completed her first EP called Everyday Blessings, several radio jingles, music for an independent movie soundtrack, and a Christian TV jingle for a popular cable show. After expressing to her First Lady that she desired a deeper relationship with the Lord and that she wanted to be not just a singer but a minister, Nicois put everything down and fully immersed herself into her local church and family. With the Holy Spirit as her teacher and guide, Nicois received the revelation of the true meaning, value, and respect for Praise and Worship. For years she stepped away from performing music professionally so that she could gain the understanding of scripture she felt was necessary to be an effective and relevant music minister. In October 2011 Nicois stepped back into the studio and released her second EP called Undeniable and in May 2012 she released her first full album Un-Di-Ni-Abel which included a video for the immensely popular song Digital World, and national radio airplay for Undeniable, and Glorious. Nicois is currently in the studio working Christmas music for 2013 and her 2nd album to be released in Married and a mother, Nicois has learned to balance the demands of music, ministry, and family life. As a Worship Leader and Choir Director at Agape Embassy Ministries in Kingstown, VA, Nicois currently serves her Pastor and First Lady in leadership and has graduated from the Leadership & Bible Institute with a certificate in Biblical Studies.
