Students submit completed application packet. 2. Applications will be reviewed by Student Ministry Leaders, who will recommend if the student should be interviewed. Leaders will evaluate applications based on the responses alone, and will not know who it is that is applying. 3. Students will be interviewed by a panel of 3 Student Ministry Leaders, who will recommend if the student should proceed to the 2nd interview, which will be one on one with Matt. 4. After 2nd interview, students will be notified if they will be invited to attend Super Summer.

3 Super Summer exists to inspire and equip students as Kingdom-minded leaders. Our goal for participating in Super Summer is that students would come away better prepared to lead, primarily in the setting of the local church (Ephesians 4:11-14). This means that every student is not necessarily ready for what Super Summer offers and requires. Past attendance at Super Summer does not necessarily mean that you are currently ready to attend again. It is up to you to honestly evaluate your current spiritual standing and, along with the Student Pastor and adult leaders, determine if you should attend Super Summer this year. The following guidelines are from the Letter to Pastors from the Super Summer Board of Directors. These six criteria will be used to determine who exhibits a readiness for Super Summer. During the required interview process (conducted by the Youth Pastor or Leader), the following criteria should be taken into consideration. (The student): 1. Has made a commitment to follow Jesus. 2. Has an active devotional life. 3. Regularly attends and supports youth ministry events at their home church. 4. Is an active leader in their total student ministry. 5. Has a positive witness/testimony outside of church and with their family. 6. Expresses a willingness to share their faith with their peers. If these statements do not describe your current spiritual life, you should carefully evaluate whether you should apply for Super Summer this year. The following page has instructions for completing the application; please read and follow these instructions carefully and thoroughly. 4 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPER SUMMER OKLAHOMA STUDENT INTERVIEW QUESTIONS 1. For the essay questions, please write legibly and answer all questions. Continue on the back or on another page if necessary; do NOT write small to squeeze it all into the space. Do not leave a question blank. 2. For question 2, be sure you accurately evaluate your participation in the EHC Student Ministry over the past school year. For instance, the middle bubble, between Often and Seldom is 50%, meaning that if you mark that bubble you participate in that activity at least half of the time. Mid-week Bible Studies is the Wednesday youth service. There is a requirement of at least 50% attendance at Youth services to go to Super Summer. It is tracked by you checking in at the Youth Building when you arrive for a service. The Church Worship Services is the EHC Sunday morning service; it is expected that Super Summer attendees will regularly attend EHC on Sunday mornings. 3. On question 3, in addition to your prayer or vision for each group, also include at least one action step you believe God is leading you to take, as a way of seeing your vision or prayer fulfilled for each group. 4. For question 4, please be transparent. These things will not keep you from going to Super Summer, unless you are willfully making them a consistent practice in your life with no desire or effort at repentance. 5. For question 6, keep in mind that witnessing is sharing the gospel with someone. It doesn t require that they follow Jesus, but that you explained to them how to be saved. Praying for and with people, encouraging each other, inviting friends to church, etc., are all very good and very important, but they are not witnessing. Make sure your application is signed, and that all information is provided. Check it carefully before turning it in, following all instructions. 6 SUPER SUMMER OKLAHOMA STUDENT APPLICATION Every student desiring to attend Super Summer Oklahoma must be personally interviewed by their Minister of Youth or Leader of his/her youth group.
