MISSION Empower and walk alongside people who choose to be restored, by offering hope in their spiritual, personal and professional lives as they develop to their fullest potential. VISION To see Bridges of Hope built through the unity of The Community Coalition by helping to empower people to be a light in their homes and to motivate their families which results in the change in the community; by experiencing HOPE through His presence and changing lives for today for God s glory. STATEMENT OF FAITH We believe in the Trinity-God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and the Bible as the Word of God. Salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding and empowering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living.

3 March 2018 the focus was redefined focusing on Adults Ministries Staff positions were established to have an Executive Director & Office Manager TCC Video was made and shown at the GTBN Mission Fair Interview on What s Happening in our Neighborhood New logo, website and addresses Introduced Tithe.ly giving for donations Purchased new office computers in preparation to support the Database Volunteers installed a Database in June. 4 Fall of 2017 and spring of 2018 CWJC: Bridges of Hope held classes at Westgate Memorial Baptist and Project Hope. Women received job skills training as well as weekly bible study and prayer time. CWJC Classes were carried out through a UNIFIED EFFORT of approximately 18 volunteers and mentors from 13 area churches Other services included over 100 meals served, transportation provided, referral to community resources and a loving environment in which to Grow were experienced Received a grant for $10,000 from Capital One Purchased 4 laptops to be used for CWJC volunteers to help with computer and job skills Began planning stages for social enterprise: Threads of Hope Four ladies attended the Women s Health Summit and one of them received an award 3 Certified Site Coordinators as of March 2018 Tea and Tea Cake Fellowship for volunteers CWJC Prayer Walk and fellowship Christian Men s Job Corps starting fall 2018

5 The founder and director of Single Mom s Overjoyed, Rejuvenated & Empowered! (SMORE) continues her partnership with Bridges of Hope to direct the ESP program. Radio spots on KLBT 88.1 FM Established the DREAM Team (13 members) The first candidate was selected. She will return to Lamar University for the fall semester to finish a bachelor s degree in social work over the next two years. SMORE received a $2,000 grant from Philanthropic Education Organization and helped the candidate apply for a Pell Grant. These two grants cover tuition and books. Over 19 Churches involved in schools with 14 schools adopted and every school in BISD benefitting from community volunteers Prayer Gathering Reach Our Schools, Restore Our City Workshop Spring of 2018 had an intern from Stephen F. Austin University to help with the children initiatives Plymouth Village Ladies Bible Study: Classes attended by participants and volunteers. During their time together they learned God s word, prayed and supported each other. Plymouth Village Christmas Store Relief to Restoration Through Collaboration seminar with guest speakers from Mission Waco and TXCCDN Westgate Memorial Baptist Church sponsored the fifth year of the KING S CLUB YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM: offering crafts, music, sports & dance at Plymouth Village apartment complex. KINGS CLUB JR. LEADERSHIP TEAM: Mentored teens and preteens by leading the teens to investigate potential careers through field trips. Received a $2,500 grant from SETX Foundation Campus Compassion and Neighborhood Initiative will not be included in the Programs of Work
