1 Introduction Hidden away in the corner of every life are wounds and scars. Inside each of us there s an inner child that was once wounded. Only God, in the name of His son, Jesus Christ can turn our painful wound into a scar of beauty. Only He can heal the pain and sin in our past and make us whole again. I m talking about emotional or soul & spiritual wounds. The negative spiritual effects of painful physical & traumatic events, particularly chronic ones we ve pushed so far down it seemed like they were healed only to find out they hadn t. They are still there. They are wounds and hurts from betrayal, rejection, sin, loss, or abuse that cut to the core! Are you brokenhearted and are your wounds still open? If so, I want you to know that there is hope for you. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and the oppressed and His Spirit is with us today carrying out this important purpose in our lives. Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed... The good news is that the Great Physician, the Almighty Father, the King of glory can completely heal your broken heart and bind up your wounds, healing and making you whole again, in the name of Jesus.

2 What are the causes of Emotional Wounds? How does a soul wound develop? Typically there was a point of trauma that created systems of thought and cycles of behaviour. For example, a small child was abandoned by a parent. The trauma of rejection is released into the emotional or mental heart of the child. The incident created a negative emotional wound that was often reinforced by other events. Over time the wounded soul created a stronghold of fear and rejection that further created polluted imaginations, false expectations, and unrealistic demands. As the wounded soul lashed out against people, relational problems occur that created even more rejection and wounds. Walls began to develop, and there was a pattern of unhealthy relationships established. The soul wound drags the person down a path of continued defeat. His life moves in the opposite direction of his prophetic destiny. He has inner emotional turmoil that ultimately manifests in dramatic outer behaviour. When we develop a wound we tend to become over sensitive to factors that didn't use to bother us before. Emotional wounds would make you over-sensitive to factors that other people don t even notice? All of the small things that are bothering you may be harmless on their own but they hurt you because they touch your wounds. Why do you think you felt that bad when someone didn t call you? Is it because that person is bad? And why didn't your friend feel bad even if no one called him too? It's because he is not wounded. Your wound in this case may be the need for approval. You may have been wounded before by people who didn t approve you and so whenever someone ignores you again it hurts, not because it should hurt, but because it touched your wound and reminded you of the past rejection. Why do you think a guy may feel broken and devastated when he gets a rejection letter? Is it because he really wanted the job that much? Not really. If he wanted it that much he would have felt bad about the rejection but he wouldn't have felt broken. It's just that this rejection touched an old wound. When that guy was a child he his parents rarely used to encourage him and as a result he grew up lacking self-confidence in his abilities. Whenever he gets a rejection letter he feels bad not because of being worried about his future but because of his old wound that hasn't yet healed. God Heal the Wounds and Scars of the Past

3 SIGNS THAT YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH EMOTIONAL WOUNDS YOU: 1. blame God for your troubles and hardships 2. feel that God is distant to you 3. experiencing feeling of hurt that doesn t seem to go away 4. suffer from terrible dreams and nightmares most times 5. have depressive mood swings for no apparent physical reason 6. become easily irritated with others, even if they aren't doing anything wrong 7. easily get frustrated with everyday chores and responsibilities 8. Do not tolerable other people's errors or mistakes 9. suffer compulsive behaviour or habit 10. have persistent thoughts that there is no hope 11. constantly feeling ashamed of yourself beca use you think you are a failure 12. have feelings of anger, hate, resentment, etc. at the slightest offence from others 13. find it very difficult, if not impossible to love and forgive others 14. always feel guilty and full of apologies whenever something go es wrong between you and others 15. desire to escape or suppress reality by overeating, dr inking, smoking, porn, spending, binges, etc 16. easily retaliate or snap back at those who offend you or step on your toes 17. hold others up to unrealistic expectations and standards, and are very intolerable to any mistakes made 18. Regret things done in the past, to this day. 19. feel excessively embarrassed or ashamed of your past

4 Negative effects of Most Wounds 1. Wounded people hurt others Exdus 20: Anger, bitterness, hate & violence. 3. Repeating the things that happened to you. 4. Shame, guilt & unworthiness. 5. Self condemnation. 6. No Confidence - low self esteem. 7. Lonely and withdrawn - very few friends. 8. Unable to respond to others properly. 9. Eating disorders. 10. Afraid to show love. 11. 6 Healing Highway This 3-weel program. Do it everyday for the first 7 days and after, do it any 3 days for the last 2 weeks. To complete this soul healing program as intended: 1. You must choose to make the time for the program a high priority. 2. You must avoid offences, arguments, quarrels or disputes. 3. Avoid ungodly relationships, places, things or events that may lead you to sin. 4. Fast, if you can, i.e., abstain from food and drink for as many days or hours as you can 5. Know that God isn't angry or disappointed in you. 6. Know that God loves, forgives, and accepts you as you are. 7. Be willing to turn your burdens over to Jesus, and trust Him to take care of them. Cast all your cares upon Jesus, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). 8. Stand on God's Word about your sins being forgiven and washed by the Blood of Jesus Christ 9. Never blame God for your problems. 10. Know that God is the source of your healing and deliverance and NOT your problems. 11. Know that God desires to see you healed and restored to wholeness even more than you do! 12. Make a decision not to dwell on how badly you were wronged. It is the devil that keeps reminding you of how badly you were wronged or what was done to you. 13. Realize that you are giving place to the devil in your heart when you react in anger, bitterness, resentment, etc. to what was done to you. So you need to take responsibility for your reactions to what was done to you. Don t give place to the devil in your heart. 14. Make sure that you have forgiven yourself, and love yourself as Christ loves you. 15. Realize that finger pointing or blaming others for what you are going through is an outward manifestation of the root of bitterness. 16. Love is the key to healing, so give it to yourself. Say it whenever you see yourself in the mirror. Say it in any random moments. Say to yourself: I love you.

7 DAILY DECLARATION Say these prayers out boldly to yourself everyday for the first 7 days, thereafter say them any 3 days every week until you are completely healed and restored): For with God nothing shall be impossible Luke1:37 Prayer: In the name of Jesus Christ, I am a beloved child of God. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe in the Holy Spirit; who is dwelling in the inside of me. I believe in the unshakeable and eternal power in the word of God. I believe that life and death are in my tongue. I believe that as I make this confession unto life with the power in my tongue, according to the words which the Lord has this day put in my mouth, I shall prosper. I renew my covenant with Him and I receive the life therein. Thus, I possess the life and the Spirit of Christ in me. Amen. 1. Psalm 147: - "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" Prayer: Father, You are the Healer of the brokenhearted. You declare that You bind up their wounds. Because it is Your nature to heal, I ask You to heal me of all my emotional wounds. By Your love and power, remove the hurt and anger that I am experiencing. Help me move on to emotional wholeness. O Lord, release Your healing power into my life; be gracious to me, Jesus name,. Amen! 2. Genesis 1:27 - "So God created man in his own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them". Prayer: Father, You are my Creator. You have made my emotions. My emotions have been wounded; they have been torn apart. Sinful, negative emotions have been cultivated into my life. I plead for You to release Your power into my life. Remove the sinful, negative emotions that resulted from my emotional wounds. Heal me so that I can experience emotional health and wholeness. 3. Psalm 34:19 - "The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all". Prayer: Father, I have experienced deep emotional wounds. But I ask You to deliver me out of all of these. Heal me and cause me to grow from these wounds. Remove bitterness and a critical spirit from me replace it with kindness.

8 4. 1 Peter 5:8 - "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour". Prayer: Father, I ask in the name of Jesus that You would bind Satan and his demons from me. In the name of Jesus, I plead that they would no longer harass or oppress me through my emotional wounds. Deliver me from the attacks of the enemy through past emotional wounds. Heal me and cut off every avenue of the enemy in my life 5. Matthew 6: "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" Prayer: Father, I ask You to set me free from any unforgiveness in my life. Deeply convict me of any unforgiveness that I am harboring. Through Your grace and power, enable me to release the debt, the anger, and the damage into Your hands. I plead that I would forgive as You do for the sake of Christ. Remove resentment and temper from me; replace it with longsuffering. 6. Hebrews 13:5-6 - "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me". Prayer: Father, grant me the strength and help to face the wounds of the past. I plead that I will not neglect or suppress the hurt or the pain. Empower me to face these things, to seek You for healing, and move on by Your grace and power. I pray that my past would no longer hurt, hinder, or destroy my present and future. Remove depression and despair from my life; replace it with joy 7. Galatians 5: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Prayer: Father, I pray that You would cultivate the fruit of Spirit in my life. I plead with You to transform me. Root out the sinful, negative emotions that have been cultivated in my. Replace these things with Your fruit. Remove fear and anxiety from me and replace it with peace. Cause me to seek You with all my heart

9 8. 1 John 1:9; Proverbs 28:13 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Prayer: Father, I plead that You would enable me confess and repent of any sinful responses to my emotional wounds. I pray that I would not see myself as a victim, but would take responsibility for my responses. Set me free from unforgiveness; deliver me from harbouring unforgiveness 9. Exodus 15:26 - "And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee". Prayer: Father, I pray that You would deliver me from harsh, negative attitudes about myself. Cause me to know that there is hope, peace, and healing with You. Show me that You can transform my broken heart. Fill me with Your love; show him/her Your concern for him/her. Manifest Your power and grace by healing and blessing me John1:2- it is written, beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Prayer - Heavenly father prosper all my under taking, make me be in good health even as my soul prospereth in Jesus name. Amen. 11. Jeremiah 29:11 it is written, For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Prayer - father let all your thoughts of peace, love, long life, progress, prosperity etc. be established now in life in Jesus name, Amen. 12. Psalm 50:15 it is written, And call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me. Prayer Father I call upon you for this day of trouble, deliver and I will glorify you in Jesus name. Amen. 13. Isaiah 48:17 it is written, Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy one of Israel I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go Prayer Father you are my redeemer, teach me to profit and lead me in the way I should go in Jesus name. Amen.

10 BE FILLED BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Lord Jesus, Saviour of the world, God of Gods, Light of light, You are the brightness of your Father s glory, The express image of his person; You have destroyed the power of the devil, You have overcome death, You sits at the right hand of the Father Be my light and my peace; Destroy the power of the devil in me, and make me a new creature. You cast seven devils out of Mary Magdalene, Cast out of my heart all corrupt affections. You raised Lazarus from the dead, Raise me from the death of sin and contamination of the evil one. You cleansed the lepers, You healed the sick, You gave sight to the blind, Heal the diseases of my soul and body; And cleanse my heart from every evil desire, in Jesus name

11 1. Father in the name of Jesus Christ, Please, Give Me A Submissive, Teachable And Obedient Spirit. 2. Father Let Every Plant You Have Not Planted in my life Be Uprooted, In Jesus Name. 3. Father, Please, empower me to serve you. 4. Father, I surrender to you to the best of my ability, and now I want to be filled with Your Holy Spirit. 5. Come Lord Holy Spirit, and baptize me with the fire of Your Love. 6. Lord Jesus I need Your power in my life. Please come, and fill me now. 7. Lord Jesus, you are the vine and I am a branch in the vine. All that you are is within me. My life flows from You. 8. I believe that as I yield and ask, You will release Your strength, wisdom, healing to meet the needs of the hour. 9. I yield now to receive Your sanctification gifts of wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and interpretation of tongues. I need them to witness to a hurting world. Only in Your power, guided by Your Spirit, can my life be fruitful. 10. Holy Spirit come. Holy Spirit come. I want it all, wrapped in the greatest gift of all: Love. 11. Holy Spirit, Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me. Give me opportunities to use Your gifts to reveal Your love and mercy. Stretch me, Lord.

12 12. Holy Spirit, expand my capacity. Work in me in a powerful wonderful way. 13. Father in the name of Jesus, let every purpose You have for my life be fulfilled. 14. Holy Spirit flow within me as you flow through me to minister to others. 15. Thank You Holy Spirit for flooding the deep places of my life with Your wonderful love. 16. Thank you Holy Spirit for washing and cleansing any wounds and scars from the past that still have the power to dominate my thoughts and suppress my physical and emotional freedom. 17. Thank You Holy Spirit for bringing light into the shadows and warmth to any cold, dark rooms in my soul. 18. Holy Spirit, thank You for coming and drawing out the uncried tears, the unfinished grieving, the pain of loss, the traumas, the fear, the emotional hurts so painful that they were buried alive. 19. Spirit of Wisdom, thank You for coming into the root cause of any chronic failures. 20. Gentle Holy Spirit, thank You for walking through my early ears and facing the past with me. 21. Thank You Holy Spirit for reminding me that the Love of Jesus was always there, filling in the gap between the love I needed and the love I received. 22. Thank You Holy Spirit for scanning my life and bringing to mind any hurtful memories that need to be healed. 23. Holy Spirit, I surrender every hurtful memories to you for your healing. 24. Thank you for bring Your good out of my hurts, past and present (Romans 8:28). 25. I Pray You Lord Jesus for a deeper release of Your Holy Spirit in me. 26. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for Your presence with me, flowing freely in me and through me. 27. Thank you for being my friend, my teacher, my comforter, my counselor, my intercessor, and the giver of extravagant gifts. 28. Thank you especially for revoking every evil works done to me.
