Click here Who Is Jesus? Many are confused when asked "WHO IS JESUS?" It appears that so many have grown up in a society of agnostics and atheism where JESUS is rejected and refused. Some say that Jesus is only a MYTH; others say that he is just a MAN, yet others gladly call him MESSIAH. Dr. Robert Price of the Jesus Seminar says that Jesus is a "MYTHICAL DEITY." Well, he is just "MYTH-TAKEN". Series: Then there was the Dan Brown movie called The Da Vinci Code, in which Brown portrayed Jesus as marrying Mary Magdalene and fathering children, ultimately settling in France. But, in Matthew 16:13, 16, when Jesus asked,"whom do men say that I am"?, "Simon Peter answered and said, 'Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living GOD'". WOW, what a transformational statement from Peter. Multitudes of believers today fail to fully recognize who Jesus really is. When we look to the Scripture for the answer, we must recognize that Jesus did not just begin His existence at Bethlehem. Think with me for a moment about the question, "Who is Jesus?' First of all at Christmas time, most people only see Jesus as the babe in the manger. Jesus is much more than a baby to be cuddled and held. Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh. Jesus is 100% Deity and 100% humanity; He is the 100% GOD-MAN. Because of the Virgin birth, Jesus is fully God and yet He is fully man. There is no place in the Scriptures where Jesus is ever separate from His Deity or segregated from His humanity. Jesus surrendered His place in heaven's glory to come to earth's gloom to seek and to save the lost. Jesus preexisted BEFORE Bethlehem. Micah, speaking of the coming Messiah-Jesus said, "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting," Mic 5:2. This is a definitive statement of Jesus' preexistence before His birth in Bethlehem. The prophecy of His birth was fullfilled in Matthew 2:2 "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,"

Jesus is the real reason for the season called Christmas. May I encourage everyone to put Jesus on the very top of your Christmas shopping list TODAY. Don't give him the leftovers or castoffs; JESUS wants our lives and every talent, gift and ability to be used for HIS GLORY. CHRISTMAS is such a marvelous, wonderful time to reflect back on the study of JESUS' life and work as found in the Scripture. Use this HOLY time of the year to say, "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to everyone you meet. Do not be fearful of hurting someone's feelings or offending someone. ONE FINAL NOTE: if you go into a store to shop and they are not willing to say, "Merry Christmas" OR if they are NOT playing Christmas music, LEAVE, spend God's money in stores that honor CHRISTMAS as a HOLY-DAY.
