1 OBJECTIVES 1. Deeper level of commitment to personal devotional life Central Jamaica Conference Strategic Plans STRATEGIC INITIATIVE: Spiritual Growth and Unity ACTION STEPS 1. Set specific time and place for prayer each morning (Constant In Prayer) 2. Establish prayer partners for motivation and encouragement 3. Emphasize that to know God is to love Him and one of the ways to know Him through prayer and Bible study (Revive by the Word) 4. Encourage Personal Devotional Life and Family Worship 5. Encourage commitment to daily Sabbath School lesson study guide 6. Create an awareness of the importance of fasting and prayer 7. Encourage daily reading of Spirit of Prophecy and other devotional material 8. To develop in every individual a personal relationship with God through personal study of the Word and prayer. 9. Daily studying of morning watch 10. Morning Watch Video Program EXPECTED OUTCOMES 100% Participation in the Constant in Prayer initiative 30% increase in persons following daily lesson study plan. Spending a thoughtful hour each day reflecting on the life of Christ 1. Establish sustained Sabbath School units in each church 2. Facilitate structured Bible Classes, Lesson Study and other teaching programs in the church 3. Establish a Pastor s Bible Class in each church for new and prospective members 4. Ensure that all programs established in the church should be Bible-based 5. Establish live weekly online Sabbath School discussions 6. Quarterly emphasis on fundamental teachings of the church through radio programs 7. Re-establish the small group concept in all churches 1. Establish the each-one reach-one concept 2. Each member identifying a witnessing partner 3. Establish geographic target areas for each Sabbath School unit for witnessing 4. Detailed written evangelistic plan for all pastors to include a strategy for reaching the affluent 5. Establish quarterly corporate/integrated, inter-generational and innovative witnessing day for each church 1. Increase the number of members who participate in planning all church activities by 10% 2. Encourage leadership to be more deliberate in the planning process of the worship services and to include sensitivity to time 5. Organize more interactive, relevant and inspirational services 6. Facilitate Christocentric worship services 7. Creating an atmosphere for more meaningful and impacting worship services, that inspires hope and an attitude of praise and gratitude to God. 8. Develop contextual worship practices that are built on biblical principles and Seventh-day Adventist foundations. 1. Provide for moments of personal quiet meditation during the worship services 2. Educate members on the meaning of reverence and proper decorum in the house of God - Spirit of Prophecy readings - Seminars on Reverence - Revival and Reformation plan - Create a worship guideline document 3. Inspire a conscious recognition of the awesomeness of God 1. Affirm the use of the Church Manual as the tool for church administration technology for worship Establish a worship committee in each church Ministerial, Communication Ministerial and Communication

Facilitate commitment to a life of faithfulness in the use and management of entrusted resources 1. Conduct conference wide, parish and district stewardship rallies/conventions, seminars and workshops 2. Issue 12,000 stewardship commitment cards per year 3. Encourage weekly innovative stewardship promotion in all congregations 4. Conduct four conference wide Stewardship Days each year 5. Require each pastor to implement a sustained visitation program Conduct 15 district rallies per year; six parish rallies (2016 & 2018) and two Conference-wide Conventions (2015 & 2017) - Utilize DVD/CD presentations. - Tithe and Offering Readings 2 nd Sabbath, January; 2 nd Sabbath, April; Last Sabbath, July; 1 st Sabbath, December Create visitation manual for all pastors for January 2015 Stewardship and Ministerial

9 2. Encourage the members to enter into a covenantal relationship with the Lord by returning a faithful tithe and offering 3. Encourage annual financial planning in each church 1. Require each pastor to preach at least two stewardship sermons per year 2. Distribute tithe envelopes to facilitate planned giving at home 1. Ensure that each church prepares and presents an annual budget Stewardship and Ministerial Treasurer 4. Encourage each member in estate planning 5. Generate a spiritual gifts inventory 6. Develop and improve on physical plants 2. Ensure that monthly/quarterly financial reports are given at Board and Business Meetings 3. Implement maintenance plan to improve the ambiance of all churches 3. Upgrade church buildings to facilitate the physically challenged 4. Utilize the Development Committee for a studied, prioritized approach to development 2. Structural adjustments to the PAC policy to facilitate implementation of the strategic plan 3. Engage the services of a project officer 4. Explore funding opportunities from grant-making agencies and identify training resources to support learning initiatives Development

Develop and deliver best practice, people management systems, processes and resources 5. Increase the number of Adventist young people attending our schools 6. Increase the number of members accessing Adventist Education STRATEGIC INITIATIVE: Education and Training ACTION STEPS 1. Incorporate all ministries training programs under the IICM 2. Develop/adopt/adapt relevant curriculum to meet the objectives of the IICM 3. Promote and recruit in all churches for IICM 4. IICM promotion day on Calendar of Events 1. Develop marketing strategies for Adventist Christian education 2. Ensure that all churches have education sponsors 3. Establish an education foundation for scholarships and grants 1. Improve human resource base for quality service-provision in all departments/ministries. 1. Encourage all pastoral districts to sponsor at least one student to our schools 2. Require that all workers children of school age attend our schools 3.
