We encourage and invite everyone to come. A Biblical Walk Through the Mass Lenten DVD Series Presented by Edward Sri, this weekly session will run about one hour in length. The series will be held Monday evenings following the 6:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross at Blessed Sacrament Church. The dates are March 4, March 11 and March 18. Contribution Report We are now sending out the 2012 annual contribution reports to those who request that we do so. If you would like to have a printout of your yearly giving to the church for tax purposes, please call the rectory on weekdays during business hours. Pilgrimage to Fatima and Spain Join us on a pilgrimage to Fatima and Spain from October 3-14, 2013 with Spiritual Director Fr. Timothy Campoli. We will visit Avila, Agreda, Zaragoza, Garabandal, and then Santiago de Compostela. We will spend October 13 in Fatima participating in the candle light procession and other anniversary activities. The cost of $3,495 includes airfare, Four Star Hotels, breakfast and dinner daily, tour guides, bus transportation in Spain and Portugal, taxes and fuel surcharges. Mass will be offered daily. Eleventh Annual Catholic Men s Conference On Sat., March 9 th the Office of Men s Ministry for the Diocese of Springfield will hold its 11 th Anniversary Celebration of the Annual Catholic Men s Conference. Bishop McDonnell invites all men from ages 16 and up to participate in the conference. Once again, it will be held at Bellamy School in Chicopee. This year s speakers include: Matthew Weber, former pro-soccer player Antonio Soave, Fr. Seán O Mannion, and His Eminence Seán Cardinal O Malley. Ally Deso is 8 yrs. old and weighed 2 lbs. 1.8 oz at birth. She was born with Bilateral Hemi Facial Micromia with Pierre Robin Sequence, hydrocephalus, cleft palate, hypothyroidism, grade 3 brain bleed, ROP stage 3 and more. The had a tracheotomy up until Sept. of 2012 and still has a G tube. She has had over 17 surgeries and has faced many medical conditions. Tickets for the dinner are $7 for adults and kids under 12 are $4 and may be reserved by calling Lumen Christi Lecture Series A Lumen Christi Lecture Series featuring Fr. Michael Barber, S.J., Director of Spiritual Formation at St. John s Seminary, will be held on Monday, February 25 th at 7:00 p.m. at the Newman Center, 472 North Pleasant Street, Amherst. Father will speak on Newman s Lessons for the Church of the Third Millennium. This event is free a free-will offering will be collected. Sixth Annual Catholic Women s Conference This year the Catholic Women s Conference will gather for their 6 th annual conference on Sat., April 20, at Bellamy School in Chicopee. The keynote speaker will be Father Leo Patalinghug, the author of Grace Before Meals. Recipes and Inspiration for Family Meals and Family Life. Father Patalinghug was born in the Philippines and raised in the Baltimore, MD area. Many people might have seen him on the Food Network when he defeated Bobby Flay in a steak fajita throwdown cooking competition. And he has a cooking show on EWTN. Also featured at the Women s Conference will be Susan Conroy. She worked with Mother Teresa and Missionary of Charities in 1986 and She also was given permission by Mother Teresa to write a book about her experiences called Mother Teresa s Lessons of Love and Secrets of Sanctity. Susan also will speak about the challenges and joys of caring for her aging parents as part of her talk. Kathy Tobin, former anchor and new director for WGGB and now the development director for Friends of the Homeless, will round out the group and speak about her life and work. Register now!
