8 The Prayers of the People Intercessor: On this Trinity Sunday, let us lift our petitions to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, saying: LORD, hear our prayer. For the ministers of the church that they build a community of love which flows from the community of God, we pray to the LORD. LORD, hear our prayer. For every member of the human family, that we be guided to all truth by the Spirit of truth, we pray to the LORD. LORD, hear our prayer. For the stewards of the earth, that they accept creation as a wondrous gift and work to preserve its beauty, we pray to the LORD. LORD, hear our prayer. For the sick, especially those on our prayer list, that their affliction lead to endurance, their endurance to virtue, and their virtue to hope, we pray to the LORD. LORD, hear our prayer. For us who celebrate community here, that our labors spread joy and our witness bring peace, we pray to the LORD. LORD, hear our prayer. Silence Celebrant: O God, our Father from whom good things flow, we thank you and praise you, singing Holy. Answer our prayer and bring us hope through Christ your Son, who celebrates life with you in the unity of the Spirit, now and forever. Amen. 8

EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY (EfM) Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people from all walks of life with the education to be Christians and to carry out their ministry. All Christians need a Christian education which supports their faith and prepares them to express that faith in day-to-day events. EfM is a worldwide program developed by the School of Theology of the University of the South. It holds before us that the foundation for bringing Christ to the world lies in a church empowered by active, theologically articulate laity. Thousands of people have completed this program. Students enroll one year at a time, can transfer almost anywhere in the United States and many foreign countries and can obtain 18 Continuing Education Credits per year by participating. 15
