Cor-Mariae Newsletter : February 2018 Editorial : The betrayal of the Church continues through the actions of her hierarchy of shepherds from top to bottom. Every single one of the first Apostles fled when Our Lord was crucified Mary alone remained, her faith unshaken, to anchor the Church on earth and in the hearts of those who cling to Her. Just as She interceded for Peter and the Apostles then may she intercede for their descendants today. Mary help of Christians pray for us. 1

Bishop Fellay unveils SSPX Prelature Bishop Fellay unveiled, in part, his agreement with conciliar Rome in two public venues: Aug. 24, 2016 Conference in New Zealand, and March 3, 2017 Sermon in Poland. Between the two, in his own words, here is what he said: Rome is offering us a new structure, a new body, to correspond precisely to our reality. And what is our reality? There are priests, bishops, faithful, we have priors, schools, seminaries, and what Rome wants to do is to give us a structure that contains all this. Like a diocese. The name given to this reality is a personal prelature. But the reality is much better than what we find in canon law or what exists for the opus Dei. Because Opus Dei has no right to have a bishop. It is only at the Pope's pleasure to decide whether or not he gives him a bishop. For us, it is determined, it is written. At its head will be a bishop, chosen by the Pope from a list of three Society members, named by the Society. The Bishop will have authority over priests, over any religious wanting to join the new structure and over Catholics belonging to the new structure. It is also planned that the other bishops of the Fraternity will be auxiliary bishops in this Prelature. And everything that currently exists will be recognized worldwide. And the faithful too! They will be in this prelature with an absolute right to receive from Society priests all the sacraments and teachings, including marriage. The bishop will be able to set up schools and seminaries, to ordain (priests), to establish new religious Congregations. And it will also be possible to receive religious congregations, as in the dioceses: Capuchins, Benedictines, and all the others, Carmelites, everything. The structure will be like a super-diocese, independent of all local bishops. This is a Christian reality which is not under the authority of the bishops. It is autonomous. So, really, it's a very important thing." 2

In other words, for you faithful, there will be no change from what you are already enjoying with the Society. The only difference will be that you will be officially recognized as Catholics. It is not a trap! As things stand you cannot imagine anything better than this offer, which is such that you cannot think it is a trap. It is not a trap, and if anyone makes us such an offer it can only be because he wishes us well. He wants Tradition to prosper and to flourish within the Church. It is impossible that such an offer could come from our enemies. They have many other ways to crush us, but not that way. Bishop Fellay's remarks call for comment: A new structure, a new body means that Archbishop Lefebvre s structure for the Society will, essentially, be abandoned. Rome is creating a completely new entity. Good-bye, dear SSPX. A bishop chosen by the Pope is extremely important. And the head of the new structure will presumably go on being chosen by the Pope. Ask the Fraternity of St Peter what that means. It meant in the 1990 s their own choice of Superior General being overridden by Rome, so that Rome s own choice was forcibly installed (Fr. A. D.), to bring St Peter s to heel. Note also how this bishop will be able to ordain (priests) but not bishops. Rome will thus retain the whip-hand over the new entity. There will be no change? But of course there will! Rome will henceforth be in control. You will be officially recognized but what Catholic needs any recognition by such destroyers of the Church from her present neo-modernist officials? Any such recognition can only be a bad sign. "You will receive the sacraments and teachings from the society priests" But what Sacraments and teachings? Already there are mergings of the traditional sacraments with the novus ordo and acceptances of Vatican II teaching. Not a trap...? This whole paragraph is truly remarkable." Need say more? What is missing is the Faith! Where is it? It is not mentioned nor protected! Notice how Bishop Fellay prefaces all his correspondence in the motto "Take us as we are"? The question is, what is your faith and conviction presently to take? Bishop Fellay openly stated he already accepted and agreed to: The new and entire 1983 Code of Canon law. The new Profession of faith by Vatican II. The legitimacy of the novus ordo "ordinary mass". "Lumen Gentium" of the Second Vatican Council [in part is to whole]. "95% acceptance" of Vatican II. Vatican II deepens and enlightens certain aspects of Church doctrine. Religious Liberty of the Council is limited. The errors of the Council are not really from the Council but from the general interpretation of it. Vatican II Council is only tainted with errors. 3

But all's good...because they can "convert" the modernists inside the conciliar church through the modernist doctrines. As it is, Bishop Fellay wants his followers to believe, in his claim, the Crisis is "Recessing". The hoax of the personal prelature is clear. It is to: * Bury the SSPX and the work of Archbishop Lefebvre. * Make the legal transformation of the SSPX into a conciliar work. * Use it as a platform to promote the conciliar revolution. * Stop the fight of Catholic Tradition; the enemy of modernism. There is no respect when God is not respected. But hasn't this been tried with the other 9-traditional communities going into modern Rome? Yes, and all to a foolish failure to where, as expected, they where converted into conciliarist thought. And the recent example of the Franciscans of the Immaculata (here, here, here, here, and here)...all squashed under the pope who is benevolent, says Bishop Fellay, "it is not a trap". Archbishop Lefebvre said "An inferior is not above his Superior". As with, in "A Letter from Archbishop Lefebvre, regarding Indult Masses": It is evident that by putting themselves in the hands of the current conciliar authorities, they are implicitly accepting the Council and the ensuing reforms, even if they have received some privileges which remain exceptional and provisory. What is the reason of the personal prelature? Father Pfeiffer explains it well here: cor-mariae.com/index.php?threads/in-london-withgerman-translation-partial-transcription.5949/ But there is more. Here is a very good commentary of what a "Personal Prelature" is for the new sspx in contrast from the FSSP's "Society of Apostolic Life with Pontifical Right" from a member Order inside the Ecclesia Dei, Brother JR, FFV, the Superior General of the order "Franciscans of Life" (Fratres Franciscani Vitae): forums.catholic.com/showthread.php? t=685495&highlight=do+dioceses+give+money+to+the+vatican? Obviously, most are not exactly sure what a prelature is or does....a prelature is not a reward. Do you really know the circumstances of a prelature? I would rather be an FSSP [Fraternity of St. Peter] than belong to a prelature. A prelature is governed directly by the pope. The FSSP is not governed by the pope. They have their own superior general. 4

The prelature will have statutes and constitutions handed to it by the Vatican. Prelatures do not get to write their own statutes, as do societies of apostolic life and religious communities. The statutes are written at the Vatican, given to the prelate to comment, edited, if the prelate has something good to contribute and then sent to the pope for final approval. He issues the constitution of the prelature. The FSSP writers its own statutes, votes on them and sends a copy to the Sacred Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. The Sacred Congregation reviews the constitution to ensure that it meets all the requirements of Canon Law and that there is no doctrinal error in it. The Sacred Congregation does not care if the constitution says that you will dance around the altar for morning and evening prayer, since such an action does not violate canon law, dogma or morals. They sign off on it and send it back to the Superior General of the FSSP. The SSPX will be in a closer relationship with the Holy Father, but it also has to make sure to cross its tees and dot its eyes. The FSSP gets to elect its superior general. A prelature does not get to elect the prelate. The prelate is appointed by the pope. Remember the word, "personal prelature". The personal refers to the pope. You're stuck with the prelate that the pope appoints. He can appoint any bishop, not just an SSPX bishop. The FSSP does not have to own property; therefore, it does not have to raise funds to maintain and insure their property. The FSSP hires itself out to a diocese or a religious community who provide the property. If the collection plate is not enough to fix the leaky rood, the owner of the proper, usually the diocese, will bail them out with a loan or just pick up the tab. The prelature owns all of its buildings and is financially responsible for them. It gets no financial support from the diocese. If it needs to borrow from a bank, the diocese does not serve as its cosigner. The prelature can have its own seminary. So can the FSSP. No difference there. The FSSP has to ask for permission to enter a diocese, so does the prelature. The FSSP does not have ordinary jurisdiction over those who attend their mass or belong to their parish. That jurisdiction belongs to the bishop where the person resides. This is a good thing. The FSSP is not responsible for the salvation of their souls. If these folks follow the wide road, because the priest suggested it, the person goes to heaven, regardless of what he did, because he was obeying. The priest may not be so lucky and neither will the bishop for allowing it to happen, provided he knows. However, the FSSP is not accountable, only the priest involved. The prelature has ordinary authority over the laity. Guess who is morally responsible for the laity... bingo! The prelature, not the local bishop, not the FSSP. The FSSP is a society of Pontifical Right. This means that it has the same right of exemption as I do. Bishops cannot discipline a member of the FSSP. The laity has no right to comment or voice an opinion on anything that happens with the FSSP, unless it directly affects them. Remotely does not count. Directly we mean that the FSSP priest is being ugly to you. If the FSSP priests decide to have happy hour every day, that does not directly affect the laity, even though it may be shocked. That's a problem for the superior of the FSSP. If the SSPX decides to have a happy 5

hour and there are complaints, the prelate has to deal with them and he has to inform the pope. The superior general of the FSSP does not have to report to the pope, unless the pope calls him in. A prelature is like a diocese without physical boundaries. It certainly has many other boundaries and a lot more oversight from the Vatican. The key here is that if Pope [Francis] truly did say that this is the only way to come back into the Church and the SSPX rejects it, we may be facing a schism, depending on how the Holy Father takes the rejection. ==================================== This is another misunderstanding. No community is allowed to refuse its members permission to celebrate the OF in principle. This was not just for the FSSP. The Franciscans of the Immaculate wanted to insert the same thing into their constitution and were told that it was unlawful to do so. The logic is that no community has the authority to command what the Church requires or prohibit what the Church allows in spiritual and sacramental matters. Even orders that have their own rite: Carmelite, Dominican, Carthusian and orders that have their own forms of the Latin Rite: Franciscan, Augustinian, Benedictine, Jesuit cannot prohibit the OF in the way that it is prescribed in the GIRM. What we are allowed to do is to decide that we will use this or that form for our conventual mass, not we cannot tell our priests that they cannot celebrate the OF. The conventual mass does not apply to the FSSP, because they are secular Catholics. In the case of the EF, religious superiors and superiors of societies of apostolic life can prohibit it. Constitutions can prohibit it, because the EF is not the norm for the Latin Church as long as the pope says that it is extraordinary. The Pauline mass is the normal form of worship. Therefore, it cannot be prohibited. They can agree not to celebrate it. They cannot make it proper law. None of us can do that. It was not the pope who intervened. It was the Sacred Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. All constitutions are reviewed by the Sacred Congregation to make sure that they do not violate law or doctrine. Many times, when people say, "The pope..." it's really a prefect acting in the name of the pope. Prefects have that authority. ============================== Q. Yes religious who are of pontifical right get to write their own constitutions and elect their superior yet both of those need the approval of the pope to go into effect. A. Not quite. I'm a superior general and I know. The constitutions are reviewed by the Sacred Congregation for the reasons that I stated above. The Holy Father does not see them. When the Sacred Congregation agrees to approve the constitution, it sends a letter to the pope asking for his endorsement. All the letter says it that it has reviewed the constitution and found no doctrinal errors or canonical violations and it asks to pope to kindly promulgate the constitution. The pope signs the paper and sends it back. We get that paper sent back to us. Popes do not have time to 6

read constitutions of religious communities or societies nor are they interested in doing so. =============================== The FSSP operates within the diocese; whereas the SSPX is its own jurisdiction. This presents a problem for things like getting married or placing your child in a Catholic school. In many places you must belong to the diocese and you must prove it with a letter from your pastor. An FSSP pastor can grant such a letter. The SSPX priest can only say that you belong to his congregation. But his congregation is under the jurisdiction of the SSPX, not the local bishop. The local bishop does not run that chapel. ==================================== The SSPX is being offered a prelature. A prelature gives it the autonomy that the SSPX wants, but it also restricts because its activities must follow a constitution given to it from the Vatican. It cannot write its own constitution, because it's a prelature, not community. There can be a constitution for the priests and religious, but those constitutions cannot contradict the constitution of the prelature. A prelature has a defined apostolic mission that must be approved by the pope himself, not by a general chapter alone and not by one of the sacred congregations. We don't know how broadly or how narrowly Pope [Francis] will define the apostolic mission of the prelature. Then we must look at size. The SSPX has about 500 secular priests, which is a very nice number. The average diocese has less than 300. Maybe the megadioceses have more. That looks good. However, those 500 priests are limited to working inside the prelature, not with diocesan structures. Therefore, they will not be allowed to participate in deanery meetings, diocesan synods, clergy councils or conferences of bishops where pastoral decisions are made. They will not be allowed to contradict those decisions made by the host diocese or the conferences of bishops. In other words, the SSPX can have its own pastoral practices within its jurisdiction, but it cannot tell the people of Diocese X that such and such a pastoral decision is a bad thing. They belong to the prelature. Let's remember that 500 secular priests are a large number for a diocese, not for an international organization. The Salesians and the Franciscans each have more than one million members. How many Salesians or Franciscans are in the average diocese? My point is that we're thinking that the influence of these 500 men is going to turn the Church around. That's not realistic. The Church will turn around and problems will be solved. New ones will replace the old ones. The SSPX will bring a much needed charism into the Church, but it will stand side by side with the many other charisms that exist in the Church, as it should be. The SSPX is not being regularized to compete with other secular priests or with religious communities. They are being regularized for their own good and for the unity of the Church. 7

We truly need to keep this in focus. Let's forget about ourselves and let's think about these men and the unity of the Church. My biggest problem with this whole process is the selfish attitude of some people. They're all excited because what they want and what they like is finally being regularized. It is nice to get what we want and what we like. Make no mistake about that. But at the end of the day, the Church does provide for our spiritual and sacramental life, without the SSPX. What is of greater value here is that we have almost 1,000 men and women (clergy and religious) who are living outside the fence, but on the same side of the street. They are our brothers and sisters and we should love them enough to want them on our side of the fence where they will be safe and where we can share what each of us has to offer. Finally, it is a great insult to the more than five million male religious and diocesan clergy to say to us that the SSPX are going to fix the Church, as if we had made no contribution for the good of the Church. There has to be a balance in our thinking and a greater concern for the good of our brothers and sisters in the SSPX rather than our personal wants and wishes. As St. Francis said to our brothers, "The man who has not detached from his wants and wishes is like the man who cannot pass through the eye of the needle. He is still rich." ============================ The FSSP is a Society of Apostolic Life with Pontifical Right. It has the same legal rights and duties as I do, except that I belong to an order and we get more graces. But you can't regulate graces. You can regulate rights. The charism of a society of pontifical right is not determined by the Holy See, nor does the Holy See impose limits on societies of pontifical right, quite the opposite. Pontifical right gives the FSSP what Trent defined as the Right of Exemption. Normally, this is only for religious men. But Pope John Paul II granted it to the FSSP. This gives it the freedom to write its own constitution, define its mission and charism, modify its mission and charism at any time and to be free from Church control. The only person who can dictate to a institute of pontifical right, is the pope. The only time in recent history that the pope has done this is with the Legionaires of Christ. That last time before that, was Pope Leo XIII when he founded the Franciscans (OFM). That was in The FSSP is pretty free.. However its charism may have changed, it is completely under the control of the general chapter, not the Church. Only a pope can overrule a general chapter. ======================= Once it [sspx] is regularized, it will have a canonical status and that means that it will also have rights. One of those rights is the right of its superior not to allow anyone to leave. t=683408&page=2 8

So what is the difference of the 1988 accord with the Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) who left the SSPX and went in "communion" with modernist Rome who were allowed to form a "Society of Apostolic Life with Pontifical Right", and the present SSPX administration who held out for a number of years longer and eventually is given the same welcome and "reconciliation" with a gift of a "Personal Prelature"? Nothing! The oyster shell changes while the inside is empty of the faith. The Walrus consumed their substance. Regardless of such goodies and attraction, have these priests and bishops not learned the lessons that modernism carries - a big apostate stick? The new-sspx is toast. Is that the end of it for the neo-sspx? No, remember too that when the new-sspx, rather the conciliar-sspx, is officially assumed into the beast, they are obliged to financially, spiritually, and morally support the conciliar establishment by soliciting from their supporters and benefactors the yearly (and biyearly) "Peter's Pence" to fund rome's conciliar campaigns; including upcoming Assisi meetings, as well as all other ecumenical spendings, altar girls, clown masses, communion in the hand, rainbow vestments, the list goes on...as does infidelity goes on. Your tithe effectively goes to promiscuity - the religion of Baal! But let's have the 2001 Bishop Fellay remind us how bad it is to have a "Personal Prelature" instead of an "Apostolic Administration". Here is another duplicit eye opener: 2) In the August 2001 issue of Communicantes (former Canadian SSPX Magazine), there was published an interview conducted by Fr. de Tanouarn with His Excellency Bishop Bernard Fellay in which His Excellency spoke of a canonical structure proposed by Rome: You have no doubt heard talk of this idea of an apostolic administration. The Society of St. Pius X would have become incorporated into an apostolic administration. What does this signify? The apostolic administration ordinarily is a diocesan structure, or quasi diocesan, in a time of crisis, over a given territory. Well! For us this territory would be the entire world. In other words, they offered us a structure that covered the entire world, a kind of personal diocese Q. Fr. de Tanouarn intervened: Excuse me for interrupting, Your Excellency, you mean a personal prelature 9

Bishop Fellay responded (this author s emphasis in bold): Not at all. The apostolic administration is better than a personal prelature. In the first place, a personal prelacy is not necessarily governed by a bishop. An apostolic administration, which is quasi diocesan, normally would be. Furthermore, and above all, the action of an apostolic administration is not limited to its members. The Opus Dei, which is the personal prelacy that exists today, is not subject to the local bishop in all that concerns its members, but it could not consider any external action without the consent of the bishop. With the apostolic administration, we avoid this restriction. We would be able to take an autonomous apostolic action without having to ask authorization from the diocesan bishop, since we would have a veritable diocese, whose distinctive characteristic is that it extends to the entire world. It is very important that such a proposition has been made, because after all, this juridical solution has never happened before, it is sui generis. Now that it has been established, it can represent for us, from a juridical point of view, a reference, a position of comparison. Especially since it is to the Society of St. Pius X that this possibility has been proposed, which shows just how seriously Rome sees our resistance. It s not by vainglory that I say that, believe me: symbolically (first of all, it s not a question of numbers) we represent something very important for Rome, and this also is new. "3) In an interview conducted by Brian Mershon of The Remnant and published on February 18, 2009, His Excellency Bishop Bernard Fellay was posed the following question (my emphasis in bold): Q. Do you foresee any oversight by territorial diocesan bishops once the Society is regularized? His Excellency answered (this author s emphasis in bold): That would be our death. The situation of the Church is such that once the doctrinal issues have been clarified, we will need our own autonomy in order to survive. This means that we will have to be directly under the authority of the Pope with an exemption. If we look at the history of the Church, we see that every time the Popes wanted to restore the Church, they leaned upon new strength like the Benedictine Cistercians whom the pope allowed to act as best as possible during the crisis, in a status of exemption, in order to overcome the crisis. Source: The Society of St. Pius X and the Diocesan Bishops Of course none of this is a surprise, Bishop Fellay has been cooing up to the Diocesan bishops for quite a while. See here, N.O. Diocesan Bishops become a new focus for the neo-sspx God is not mocked! The Catacombs 10

Conference of Mons. Fellay in Michigan, USA, February 3: Unpublished Sunday, February 25, 2018 This entry is the continuation of this other. We gave ourselves the job of listening to the full conference in English, and then we introduce you to some excerpts - not published in the FSSPX.NEWS article - from the conference of Bishop Fellay on February 3 of this year in the Priory St. Joseph, from Michigan, USA: After reviewing the history of the Fraternity and its comings and goings in Rome since 2000, he returns to talk about the devastating Bergoglio, whom he calls "our beloved Pope Francisco": Pope Francis told me that it was probably the Holy Spirit who inspired Pope Benedict not to go ahead (with excommunication) and leave the matter to the next pope. Pope Francis refused to sign our excommunication. He told me: I will not condemn you. To Cardinal Castrillón, the Pope said: "I will never condemn the Fraternity." The Pope told us: "You are Catholics." I know, everyone knows all the problems we have in the Church for our beloved Pope Francis, and at the same time, the same Pope tells us: I will not condemn the Fraternity. He told us: "They make me trouble in Rome because I am kind to you, and I say to them: Listen, I have the Anglicans, I have the Protestants, why can not I have these Catholics?" That is what he said to me! [It seems that Bishop Fellay was not insulted when he was placed on the same level with Anglicans and Protestants] It is clear that the Pope has had gestures in our favor and has multiplied them, at different levels, most are unknown They are small, they are practical, and I can say that the Pope is ready to help. For example, there was a pilgrimage. We wanted to go into the churches and say the masses there, in Rome. The Argentines let the pope know and it was done. [No wonder the priests of the Fraternity did not say anything against Francisco on that occasion! It is impolite to criticize a benefactor Pope from the pulpits! What will happen, then, when Francisco finally grants the prelature to the SSPX, "doing a great act of justice," "paying off a debt of long decades," "closing a bleeding wound for more than 40 years," "restoring his rights to Tradition ", and" opening an immense 11

field of apostolate to Tradition "?] We had problems in Argentina with the government: it was a real problem for us to reside in the country, visas, etc. The Pope intervened personally, in an absolutely personal way at all levels. It achieved that we were recognized as a Catholic entity in Argentina. He called everyone, including our priory. Imagine when the brother answered the phone... [Imagine when the Pope "regularizes" the Fraternity...] He does that. At the same time he does things that are the opposite, in the whole Church. I do not have an answer. I have some answers but they are not complete, they are not total. My impression is that Pope Francis gives much more importance to the person than to the doctrine. And so, if he knows someone who has a problem, he will only see the problem and forget the doctrine. [A Vicar of Christ who forgets the doctrine!] Not only with us, with everyone... With the divorced and remarried is the same problem. And the Protestants: Bishop Palmer, a friend of the Pope, dies. He is a Protestant bishop. The part of the Catholic family asks for a Catholic funeral. The Catholic Church "sent them flying", and Pope Francis decided that he should be given a Catholic funeral by a Catholic bishop. If the law is followed, one says "no way! But "he is my friend! Let's do it for my friend! " It is very difficult to understand all these things. [Read: "I can not understand this liberal pope because I can not understand liberalism] Because it's not the normal way people behave, usually people put doctrine first, faith." When a friend is against the faith, you should be told, correct yourself or you are no longer my friend. "Pope Francis seems to believe otherwise:" If you are my friend, you will always be my friend. " One answer I got from one of our priests, Argentine. for us, friendship is sacred, you are my friend, you are my friend no matter what happens, so do we believe that the pope considers us his friends, I fear that this word will be too strong, I would not say friend, but he has sympathy for us He read twice the book of Bishop Tissier about Bishop Lefebvre, that fat book, he read it twice, one does not do it if he is not interested... Do not read this book twice! read twice? Try to reflect! He read it twice! One of our priests: "The Church was hard on him". [We would like to know if on this planet there is a non-swiss who thinks it is true that Francis read twice the biography of Bishop Lefebvre written by Bishop Tissier. To be convinced that this is true (Bishop Fellay is, because he has repeated the "anecdote of the fat book" several times) reveals a monumental naiveté ] This is his human side, that is why he is in favor of migrants, of the marginalized, etc. He sees by the people.and look so much for people who forget the law. And of course we have a problem with that, of course. Explain below the last thing that has happened between the Neo-FSSPX and Rome: We arrived in May of this year (2017) [La Vie was not wrong, nor was Non Possumus wrong with the entry of May 3, 2017 entitled: " La Vie: the agreement is imminent ". More "internet lies"?] They sent me a text that I had to sign, if I signed everything it would be all right and I said: the text is fine but it is not clear enough, it will cause problems among our people... we would like it to be more Of course... I think the text was correct but I did not sign it. But they gave it to me to sign, that was in March, then in May there was a meeting of the congregation for the doctrine of the faith; Then in June I receive a letter from Cardinal Müller that says: "I spoke with the pope, and we held a meeting of the congregation of the faith and all the cardinals of this meeting unanimously say that we must add some things. In the first place you can not say the old profession of faith, you must say the new one. They said: it is necessary, the other is insufficient. How can this be? Even for the bishops of the council it was enough and now it is not! What's going on? "And 12

you MUST accept the council." First they told me that the discussion was open and now we must accept it. "You MUST say that the new Mass is legitimate." I was called to a meeting in Rome on July 12, but on July 2 the Pope dismissed Cardinal Müller. So I ask, what's going on? On the board, and they say "come to the meeting", so I went, and there they said: "What was that letter from Cardinal Müller? We do not know her! We never knew about her! We learned because you published it, but we do not know what that is! "It was a letter from the cardinal prefect of the Doctrine of the Faith and they tell me they do not know it. Again, what is happening? However, the result or the effect is the new text that they presented to me where they say "they must say the new profession of faith", they say: "they must accept the council as such" [...] but you can discuss, you can ask, legitimately, and must accept that the mass is legitimate. " That's where we are now, and of course I wrote to Rome saying "I'm sorry but I do not understand". "One day they say this is enough, just firm; Two months later it is not enough anymore. Or is it that faith changes every day? What is this? " [Answer: the game to which the Romans have subjected him, Monseigneur] Well, this is the present situation. We return to zero point. There is a certain progress: I received a letter at the end of the year telling me that they received my letter and that they have decided to continue the dialogue, insisting that we must say the new profession of faith, that we must accept the council and the legitimacy of the new Mass. So we continue to dialogue. This is the present situation. He ends by affirming that if we look for God, "miracles will happen", he explains what the Virgin of Guadalupe did to one of the Fraternity, taking him to a chapel of the SSPX in a miraculous way. He affirms that God does not abandon us and we must have a lot of faith, "God is with us". "He really cares what happens to us." So, dear readers, expect soon the "miracle" of the recognition of the Fraternity by the destroyer Francisco. Bishop Fellay said that we expected "miracles"! Source 13

Absorption of FSSPX into the Jaws of Conciliar Rome February 04, 2018 The diocese of Nantes lends a chapel to the FSSPX From now on, every Sunday and 300 meters from the cathedral, the faithful who wish it will be able to participate to the mass at 8:30 am (low mass) and 10:00 am (mass sung). Source 14

We would have to re-enter this Conciliar Church in order, supposedly, to make it Catholic. That is a complete illusion. It is not the subjects that make the superiors, but the superiors who make the subjects Amongst the whole Roman curia, amongst all the world s bishops who are progressives, I would have been completely swamped. I would have been able to do nothing [As for the Pope appointing conservative bishops] I don t think it is a true return to Tradition. Just as in a fight when the troops are going a little too far ahead and one holds them back, so they are slightly putting the brakes on the impulse of Vatican II because the supporters of the council are going to far the supposedly conservative bishops are wholly supportive of the council and of the liturgical reforms No, all of that is tactics, which you have to use in any fight. You have to avoid excesses [Asked about signs of benevolence to Tradition] There are plenty of signs showing us that what you are talking about is simply exceptional and temporary So I do not think it is opportune to try contacting Rome, I think we must still wait. Wait, unfortunately, for the situation to get still worse on their side. But up till now, they do not want to recognize the fact That is why what can look like a concession is in reality merely a manouvre to separate us from the largest number of faithful possible. This is the perspective in which they seem to be always giving a little more and even going very far. We must absolutely convince our faithful that it is no more than a manoeuvre, that it is dangerous to put oneself into the hands of the conciliar bishops and Modernist Rome. It is the greatest danger threatening our people. If we have struggled for twenty years to avoid the conciliar errors, it was not in order, now, to put ourselves into the hands of those professing these errors. 16 s Trumpet out of Tune Bishop Williamson's Trumpet out of Tune This weeks EC #553, "Parenting Today-1", is another irony presenting itself. Bishop Williamson portrays a lamentation that parents are not doing their job providing for their children. He says, quoting another author, the children are: Profoundly ignorant of the crisis in Church and world. Not because they have not been taught, but for lack of interest. They cannot explain on their own what is wrong with the New Mass. Never having had to fight, to defend their beliefs or to resist, and so never having studied for themselves, when they meet the world they easily give way. They want to be like everybody else, they do not want to be different They lack the personal conviction to stand up for Catholic Tradition. And so instead of being Apostles of Christ, little by little they go with the flow.. Where will there be tomorrow the good vocations, the good Christian families we so urgently need? Vocations grow rare, marriages grow weak or dry up altogether, formation grows soft, immaturity takes over. The boys lack character, sense of responsibility, generosity, self-control, everything that parents should be inculcating in them to turn them into the men we can rely on for tomorrow: men chaste, mature, thoughtful, hard-working, magnanimous. Without such men of conviction, where will be the heads of tomorrow s families? The girls are also being reared in disorder. Thus acquiring a spirit of independence. Parents, do you realize what you need to be giving to your children for their future in today s world? You must for God s sake form your boys to be men worthy of the name and your girls to be women worthy of the name. Do your duty. Otherwise, your children risk losing their souls, and Christendom is finished. 16

Bishop Williamson ends by saying, will God permit a punishment of society for lack of this duty? He thinks so, he says, "Wait for it!" If that is true, then how can he justify his own derelict of duty not wanting to proselytize for the Church and world? Bishop Williamson said: Quote: I don't think we need to be too concerned to bring souls towards us because people just don't understand today. They don't have ears to hear." (Bishop Williamson, Banquet speech after consecrating Bishop Zendejas, May 12, 2017, youtube.com/watch?v=hetzgrgzafa ). "Such are the disputes, divisions, confusion and chaos in Catholic hearts and minds being caused by the churchmen s hollowing out of their authority by their abandoning of God s Truth, that many a clear-sighted Catholic can already be preferring to keep silent rather than attempt to argue or to teach. A mass of modern minds are so incapable any longer of thinking or reasoning that any attempt to dispel their errors can seem to risk only increasing their confusion." (Bishop Williamson, Eleison Comments, #513) "[We have] no ambition either to save or to convert either the Newchurch or the Newsociety." (Eleison Comments, #514) Therefore, in my opinion, be content to attend the least contaminated Tridentine Mass that there is any-where near you (Bishop Williamson, Eleison Comments #505) "There is still something Catholic in the conciliar church, so it s wrong for us to reject it completely. (Bp. Williamson, Eleison Comments #447) The Novus Ordo Mass may have been allowed by God to make it easier for Catholics to leave the Faith if they wanted to, but not impossible to keep it if they wanted to. ( Eleison Comments #438, 30th November 2015) "Therefore, there are cases when even the Nouv Ordo Mass can be attended with an effect of building ones faith, instead of losing it." (Bishop Williamson, conference in Mahopac NY (usa), June 2015) "If they can trust their own judgement, that attending this mass will do them more good than harm, spiritually." (Bishop Williamson, conference in Mahopac NY (usa), June 2015) "The essential PRINCIPLE is do whatever you need to keep the faith." (Bishop Williamson, conference in Mahopac NY (usa), June 2015) "Therefore, I will not say every single person must stay away from every single NOM." (Bishop Williamson, conference in Mahopac NY (usa), June 2015) "The essential PRINCIPLE is do whatever you need to keep the faith." (Bishop Williamson, conference in Mahopac NY (usa), June 2015) "You make your own judgements." (Bishop Williamson, conference in Mahopac NY (usa), June 2015) The list goes on... cor-mariae.com/index.php?threads/quotes-of-bp-williamsonsupporting-the-new-religion-and-conciliarism.4457/ 17

Who is creating an indifferent Church and world the children are not interested in? So what is "parenting" for Bishop Williamson? What is it he wants the parents to do for them? He says they should read Condemned books, because, he doesn't care what the Church says about it, he gets something out of it and so you parents should read it to your children as a bed time story. What about vocations. Has Bishop Williamson ever promoted vocations in the last sixyears since choosing to be a vagabond bishop? No! not once has he promoted vocations in any of his Eleison Comments, sermons, conference -- not once! So is this new Epistle of BW more lip service of 2018 like Bishop Fellay is doing trying to brand himself? Apparently so. What they say and do are two different things. Wonder what his next EC, "Parenting Today-2" is going to say? Not holding my breathe. Seems once and a while we get an appearance of something Catholic (authored by another) and every other time something "updating" to modern times. After all, he said, "The essential PRINCIPLE is do whatever you need to keep the faith." The Catacombs 18

APOCALYPTIC TRUMPETS It was stated that Sister Lucy pointed out, when asked about the Third Secret, that he could be found in the Apocalypse, especially in Chapters 8 to 13, that is, beginning with the seven trumpets. Before Fatima, Our Lady appeared in Quito, La Salette, Knock and (after Fatima), in Akita; and all these appearances had the common thread of terrible warning. Although the appearance of Knock was silent, its prophetic relevance is clear from our perspective after 50 years of modernist "renovation". Let's start with the Trumpets of Pope Paul: In an interview with the Italian newspaper Avvenire, the French writer Jean Guitton, close friend of Pope Paul VI, recalled this interesting fragment of history: It was the last session of the Council, the most essential in which the Pope was to impart to all mankind the teachings of the Council. He announced it to me with these words: " I am about to sound the Seven Trumpets of the Apocalypse ". (Interview, October 11, 1992, quoted in the excellent book Animus Delendi - I, by Atila Sinke Guimaraes). Now, the source of this appointment is Avvenire, the newspaper of the Italian Episcopal Conference, so it is quite safe to assume the integrity of the information. Although it seems that Guitton thought a bit about the commentary when, later, he mentions that the Apocalypse speaks of the triumph of the Church; it is not exactly what is said in the passage quoted by Pope Paul VI. The angels and trumpets are introduced in chapter 8: "And I saw seven angels standing before God, and seven trumpets were given to them." The angels and trumpets and the events that they introduce, are severe punishments, predicting in symbolic language generalized heresy, apostasy, wars and persecutions and earthquakes. 19

Then, on June 29, 1972, on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of his election, Paul VI lamented: "It was believed that after the Council came a sunny day for the history of the Church. On the contrary, a day has come of clouds, of storm, of darkness... How has all this happened? We will entrust our thoughts to you (...): there has been a power, an enemy power. Let's say his name: he Demon... It would seem that through some mysterious crack (...) the smoke of Satan has entered the Temple of God. The quotation from Pope Paul comes from Revelation chapter 9, verses 1-2: And the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that fell from heaven to earth; and he was given the key to the pit of the abyss. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke came up out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air darkened by the smoke of the well. Then he describes how locusts came out of the abyss smoke, which are interpreted by certain commentators as heretics. In fact this is one of the explanations given in the Douay Rheims Bible. In addition, the darkening of the sun is also seen as a prophecy of the loss of faith. In his book Windswept House [in Spanish: El Último Papa ] Fr. Malachi Martin described the enthronement of Lucifer within the Vatican on June 29, 1963, which was, of course, the date on which Montini ascended to the papacy as Paul VI [was elected on June 21 and crowned on June 30. Note from NP]. In a later interview, Fr. Martin confirmed that the enthronement of Satan really happened although he changed some details for his fictionalized story. In March 2010, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the leading Vatican exorcist, told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica: "The devil resides in the Vatican and the consequences can be seen..." He added: "When we talk about 'the smoke of Satan' [phrase coined by Pope Paul VI in 1972] in the sacred rooms, everything is true, including these latest stories of violence and pedophilia. " In 2002, Solange Strong Hertz wrote a book in which he elaborates a very argument that we are in the period of the Apocalyptic Trumpets. The title is in fact, The Sixth Trumpet : Father Amorth related the cases of sexual abuse of the clergy to the influence of Satan in the Church, and in this, he is right. As Sister Lucy reminded us, the devil knows exactly what will destroy most souls. And what has the Vatican done about it? Under Pope Francis, sodomy seems to be supported as never before.anyone who has been paying attention knows it very well. NOTE of 2015: This post is one of many that I am gradually restoring in my effort to rebuild our blog on our new platform. It is interesting to see how much has happened in the few months since it was originally published. We have had the heartbreaking 20

catastrophe of the Irish vote in favor of sodomy, the shameful ruling of the US Supreme Court in favor of the "rights" of homosexuals against the rights of Christians, and the appalling news that Planned Parenthood demons not only smash the babies, they trade with these tiny parts of the baby's body. He did not even say a murmur of "Vicar of Christ on Earth," the spiritual leader of the faithful Roman Catholics who has a bigger fish to fry, a Church to change "irreversibly", and little time to do it. And so the sliding toward the climax of the punishment continues apace. My intention is to provide you with some appropriate prophecies, solidly Catholic, and some solid spiritual writing to strengthen your resolve as we prepare for the approaching tsunami. In the meantime, please keep us in your prayers, and we also pray for you. NOTE of January These old posts are like time capsules and as we look over them, we observe "progress" in the Bergoglian church in the three years since it was written. Pope Francis has shown his support for the notorious abortionists Emma Bonino and Lilianne Ploumen, has deconstructed the Pontifical Academy for Life and has reconstituted it in his own image to promote the anti-life agenda of contraception, abortion and euthanasia. He has continued to wage a fierce war against the slightest adherence to the doctrine and practice of the True Faith with his deceptive and destructive "Amoris Laetitia." He has insulted the faithful at all times, most recently in Chile, where he reinforced Juan Barros as bishop of the faithful remnants of that suffering church, despite the indignation of the faithful of Chile. Pope Francis has given the maximum support to priests and prehomosexuals, as we have documented. He has continued insulting Our Lady of Fatima in her Centennial. And all this is topped honoring Martin Luther while erasing the Immaculate Conception of the Crucifixion [refers to the Vatican stamp of homage to Luther and Melanchthon. Note from NP] and insulting the Holy Family and the Birth of Christ at Christmas with the disgusting spectacle of the Vatican Nativity scene. In truth, "the worst are full of passionate intensity", because they know that their time is short. And now it's almost over. Remember, pray the Rosary and confuse the devil and those who serve him! Please pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Source 21

Jose Tolentino de Mendonça, Retreat Master of the Lenten Exercises in 2018 for Pope Francis and the Roman Curia, with the feminist theologian Sr. Teresa Forcades, who calls for a queer revolution in the Church. Lenten Retreat Master Wants to "Free" the Church From Its Dogma Sunday, February 25, 2018 (Rome) Yesterday, the Roman Curia's Lenten retreat, in which Pope Francis also took part, came to an end in Ariccia, near Rome. This year's retreat master raises some questions. For the retreat this year, Pope Francis summoned the Portuguese priestly poet José Tolentino de Mendonça. He is known as "a fan of Sr. Teresa Forcades," says Corrispondenza Romana. The Catalan theologian, born in 1966, is considered by her followers to be a representative of "feminist theology," "critical theology," and Liberation Theology. Teresa Forcades i Vila Teresa Forcades i Vila Forcades: For a queer theology In 1990, she began a medical degree in Barcelona, which she completed with a specialization in internal medicine in New York. In Harvard in 1997 she earned a degree in Protestant theology and entered the Benedictine monastery of Montserrat in Barcelona in the same year. In Catalonia, she graduated in Catholic Theology and graduated in 2009 with a PhD in Fundamental Theology. In 2013 she received a lectureship in theology and gender studies at the Berlin Humboldt University. Since 2013, she has also appeared as an activist for the independence of Catalonia. In 2015, she was exclaustrated with the approval of the Vatican and left her monastery to run in the Catalan parliamentary elections. She continues to be considered a nun, is subject to her obligations and can at any time return to her monastery, as Spanish media reported. 22

Among other things, Forcades campaigns internationally for the recognition of aberrosexuality by the Church in the course of her feminist theology. Whether coincidence or not, while Tolentino was giving the pope and the curial retreat, Forcades is promoting the Italian edition of her book, "We are all different! For a queer theology" in Italy. Tolentino, her "fan", is Deputy Rector of the Catholic University of Lisbon and Consultor of the Pontifical Council for Culture. For Pope Francis and the management of the Vatican dicastery he chose as theme: "Praise of thirst". New climate for aberrosexuality since Francis While giving the retreat, or shortly before, Forcades toured Italy to promote the recognition of homosexuality by the Church, although the official theme of her lectures was mostly Women's Theology. On the website Gionata, a circle of "Christian LGBT" it says: "In the context of the book launch, Forcades emphasized that the Church's relationship to homosexuality had finally changed with the election of Pope Francis. He tries to do the utmost, including through the Family Synod, to change the Church's attitude toward homosexuality." Nota bene: Forcades does not speak of the Church's attitude toward homosexuals, but of homosexuality. Forcades reveals even more: "At the Family Synod, he has not been able to move forward, but the atmosphere is not the same as before Pope Francis came." For example, Sr. Jeannine Gramick [self-confessed lesbian], who for many years in the US is fighting for not only accepting that someone is aberrosexual, but also the aberrosexual acts that are recognized as physical love. She has said that since Francis Pope, she is no longer exposed to any pressure she has experienced before. " "Renewal" of the church is "queer" 23

Feminist theology in history According to Forcades, the Church is making "big steps forward," especially in Oceana and South America in dialogue with homosexuals: "much faster than in Europe." The "renewal" of the Church is gay for Forcades, or to put it in their words: "queer." She speaks literally of a "queer revolution". In 2015, in an interview with Corriere della Sera on "gay marriage", she said that she is in favor of "sexual identities being no drawers, but God wanting them to complement one another, one and the other." And anyway: "What's wrong with that? They seem happy. Why should not they be blessed? Why not in the church? Do not we have to rejoice over love, no matter what form and expression it has?" A few months later, in February 2016, she told La Repubblica : "Love is always a sacrament of God." She was also in favor of adoption for aberrosexuals: "What children need is an adult, mature and responsible love from parents who sacrifice their needs for the children. Whether they are growing up with two women or two men is not a problem." Tolentino's "model" for the future of Christianity Tolentino at the Lenten retreat in Ariccia The appointment of Jose Tolentino as retreat master to Ariccia, a man who prides himself on making contact with a dubious theologian such as Forcades, would be of dubious quality to any Catholic group. His call to retreat for the Roman Curia "seems to be an expression of a political plan," says Corrispondenza Romana. "The friendship" between Tolentino and Forcades "is based on an obvious equality of thought." Forcade's book,"the Feminist Theology of History," features a foreword by Tolentino. In it he dreams of a "different history." "The history of the West (and of the Church) might have been different if a symbolic, open and sensitive way had been chosen as an approach to the real, rather than creating the clear, triumphalist grammar we know. I repeat: maybe the story would be different. This is where the extraordinary work of Teresa Forcades i Vila, the feminist theology of history which the reader holds in her hand, comes to our aid." Tolentino presents Forcade's teachings as a model to "liberate" Christianity from dogmatic constraints. Forcade's approach, says the priest poet: 24

"is in any case courageous: to show the contradictions and seek alternative interpretations that support a break of meaning and civilization. One conviction left by the book is that the future of Christianity depends especially on the purification process that succeeds us in its past and present. " It is Forcade's merit, according to Tolentino, to have emphasized the importance of a relationship ethic that is free from strict and codified norms: "Teresa Forcades i Vila reminds us of the essentials: that Jesus of Nazareth neither codified nor regulated. That is, he has created an ethic of relationship; he transformed the poetry of his message into the visibility of his flesh; he showed his body as a premise." Corrispondenza Romana then wondered: "What spiritual fruits can the participants of the fasting exercises of Ariccia get from it?" Source Father Hewko's Visit to Australia 25

St. Louis Marie de Montfort and the Saints of the End Times "Vincent Ferrer, or, as he was called, the Angel of the Judgment, comes to us proclaiming the near approach of the Judge of the living and the dead. During his life time, he traversed almost every country of Europe, preaching this terrible truth; and the people of those times went from his sermons striking their breasts, crying out to God to have mercy upon them, in a word, converted." -Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B. The Liturgical Year, April 5th "I said that this will happen especially towards the end of the world, and indeed soon, because Almighty God and his holy Mother are to raise up great saints who will surpass in holiness most other saints as much as the cedars of Lebanon tower above little shrubs. This has been revealed to a holy soul whose life has been written by M. de Renty. These great souls filled with grace and zeal will be chosen to oppose the enemies of God who are raging on all sides. They will be exceptionally devoted to the Blessed Virgin. Illumined by her light, strengthened by her food, guided by her spirit, supported by her arm, sheltered under her protection, they will fight with one hand and build with the other. With one hand they will give battle, overthrowing and crushing heretics and their heresies, schismatics and their schisms, idolaters and their idolatries, sinners and their wickedness. With the other hand they will build the temple of the true Solomon and the mystical city of God, namely, the Blessed Virgin, who is called by the Fathers of the Church the Temple of Solomon and the City of God. By word and example they will draw all men to a true devotion to her and though this will make many enemies, it will also bring about many victories and much glory to God alone. This is what God revealed to St. Vincent Ferrer, that outstanding apostle of his day, as he has amply shown in one of his works." -Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, True Devotion to Mary, #47-48 These striking words were penned by this great Saint in 1712 in La Rochelle on the West Coast of France as part of the greatest book ever written about our Lady. Just four years later on this day in 1716 our Saint would pass to his eternal reward, he was just 43. He had been poisoned by Jansenists a few years earlier and never one to worry about his own health (for he was an incredibly strong and tough man) he never took a break and he continued his work preaching to the faithful throughout the countryside of southern France. He was one of those great Saints who burned themselves out early in life by their intense love for God. 27

Just 23 years before Montfort wrote True Devotion the King of France had refused the request of our Lord, given to him by Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, to consecrate that great nation, the Eldest Daughter of the Church, to His Most Sacred Heart. One hundred years exactly from this refusal God would scourge France for this refusal by allowing it to be racked with the bloody and terrible French Revolution, from which France has never recovered. The only part of France that did not succumb to the errors of the Revolution, and from which began the Catholic Counter-Revolution, was that very part of France preached to by today's Saint. We know this part of France as the Vendee. The most intense period of persecution of Catholics, which was what the French Revolution principally was: a persecution of the Catholic Church, was the "Terror" ( ). And this was only ended when on July 17th 1794 sixteen Carmelite nuns offered their lives to end the slaughter. They were put to death simply for wearing their habits and professing the Catholic faith. Within two weeks the terror ended. From the blood of these Blessed Martyrs it seems that an incredible flourishing of great Saints came about in France, and even elsewhere we began to see great Saints being raised up unlike anything that had been seen for many centuries and even back to the days of the apostles. In 1830 in the Convent Chapel of the Daughters of Charity (founded by Saint Vincent de Paul) at Rue de Bac in Paris the ever Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to a young nun named Catherine. She would give to her the Medal of the Immaculate Conception. This medal proved to be so powerful and produced so many miracles we known it today only as the "Miraculous Medal" and that young nun as Saint Catherine Laboure. Even while this was going on incredible things were happening in the Diocese of Lyon in a little parish called Ars. It's pastor has become the most famous parish priest in the history of the Church: Saint Jean-Baptist Marie Vianney, the Cure of Ars. In 1842, in a small trunk locked away and forgotten for 127 years, Montforts True Devotion manuscript was found. Almost immediately after being discovered it came before the reigning Pope at the time: Pope Gregory XVI, who just 4 years earlier on September 7th 1838 had declared Montfort Venerable, and he called for its immediate publication and promoted it without qualification. This was just as Montfort himself had prophesied in the very text itself: I clearly foresee that raging beasts will come in fury to tear to pieces with their diabolical teeth this little book and the one the Holy Spirit made use of to write it, or they will cause it at least to lie hidden in the darkness and silence of a chest and so prevent it from seeing the light of day. They will even attack and persecute those who read it and put into practice what it contains. But no matter! So much the better! It even gives me encouragement to hope for great success at the prospect of a mighty legion of brave and valiant soldiers of Jesus and Mary, both men and women, who will fight the devil, the world, and corrupt nature in the perilous times that are sure to come. (True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, #114) Every Pope since it's discovery has promoted and practiced this devotion. In 1846 our Lady appeared again. This time it was to two poor shepherd children in the mountains at La Salette France (just south-west of Lyon). She appeared weeping because of blasphemy, and told the children that the people of France must stop offending her Son, because His hand of 28

judgement was becoming so heavy she was unable to hold it back much longer. In 1854 Blessed Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the womb of her mother Saint Anne. And how fitting for this Pope who was practicing and promoting the True Devotion to Mary of Saint Louis Marie de Montfort. Just four years later in 1858 our Lady appeared yet again to a young French girl in the very south of France. She said of herself there that: "I am the Immaculate Conception", and her message was simply: "Penance! Penance! Penance!". The site of the apparition has become one of the largest sites of pilgrimage in the world and the spring that began to flow during the apparitions has produced more documented miracles than any other single site in human history. That young girl too is noteworthy even apart from everything that happened and has happened since at Lourdes. She would retreat from the world to a convent in Nevers (in central France) and there would become, in my opinion, one of the greatest Saints in the history of the Church. Heaven too seems to have highlighted her sanctity in a special way because little Saint Bernadette Soubirous body to this day remains entirely incorrupt. Meanwhile three great Saints (two from neighboring countries) were spreading the gospel in missionary lands. From France there was Saint Theophane Venard (the favorite Saint of Saint Therese of Lisieux) who labored in South-East Asia and would eventually suffer martyrdom in present day Vietnam. He was exemplary not because he produced many miracles or wrote any amazing works but because he was simply an eminently holy soul whose life is one we can all imitate. This is why Saint Therese loved him. And of course a deep devotion to Mary was part of his life, and it is very possible that he read True Devotion before he died at just 31. From Belgium there was Saint Joseph de Vuester, who was just canonized in 2009, and who is better known as Father Damien of Molokai. He too had an intense devotion to Mary and knew French so it is not impossible that he came into contact with Montfort's work, though it is less likely. He, while still in minor orders, took the place of his older brother (then already a priest for the religious order they belonged to) on a mission to the Sandwich Islands (modern day Hawaii). There he would eventually offer himself for the incredibly difficult assignment of ministering to the leper colony on the island of Molokai. There he would labor without tiring until he had converted most of the island; inspired a lay Brother, several priests, and a community of nuns to join him there; and at last becoming a leper himself would die surrounded by his many spiritual children. Few Saints in the history of the Church have so perfectly imitated our Lord as the Saint Damien's Missionary Bishop put it: So far my children, you have been left alone and uncared for. But you shall be so no longer. I have brought you one who will be a father to you, and who loves you so much that for your welfare and for the sake of your immortal souls, he does not hesitate to become one of you; to live and to die with you. The third and final Saint is without a doubt one of the Saints prophesied by Saint Louis Marie de Montfort. He hailed from Spain and was so incredible he was called a "second Saint Vincent Ferrer", who himself was called a "second Saint Paul". We known him as Saint Anthony Mary Claret. He would eventually be sent as a missionary Bishop to the beleaguered missionary diocese of Cuba. In just six years he would clean up that diocese which was rife with corruption and sin. All 29

during this time he performed miracle after miracle. There were no less than 17 attempts on his life by the Freemasons, all of which failed. Our Lady protected him. Most incredible to me, however, is the fact that for the last few years of his life the Blessed Sacrament remained present in him between communions so that he was literally a living tabernacle. This meant that for all that time he did not even commit an indeliberate venial sin. Apart from our Lady herself for those nine months of her pregnancy and maybe one or two other Saints this abiding presence of the actual Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord is a most singular occurrence. Whether or not he read Montforts book is not clear, but most assuredly he lived the devotion contained within it. And what can be said that has not already been said here of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face who practiced the true devotion to Mary so perfectly. And this is but a sampling of the fruit of Montfort in his own country and the surrounding lands in the early to mid-19th century. The late 19th and into the 20th century would bring even more amazing things: Saint John Bosco, Saint Maria Goretti, Saint Gabriel of our Lady of Sorrows, Saint Gemma Galgani, Pope Saint Pius X, Blessed Jactina and Franciso Marto of Fatima, Saint Faustina, Saint Maximilian Mary Kolbe, and the great Saint Padre Pio. All of these and many other great saints were raised up and who were all emenently devoted to Mary and who loved a total consecration to Mary. Kolbe of course was the great promoter of a total consecration to Mary since Montfort himself and is another striking example of what Montfort prophesied. Of course the 20th century was also the time of the greatest Marian apparition in history of our Lady at Fatima in This subject has been dealt with to some extent here. She would again appear in the 1970s at Akita, Japan with the same dire warnings. Who knows then where we are left today. Men have not stopped sinning, but have rather seem to have turned toward sin and are running headlong into hell with astonishing vigor. And the saints that Montfort spoke of for these days are around us. We have possibly met a few of these, and any contact with them must give us some comfort that in these dark and terrible days all is not lost, but we too may be lead to salvation along with these great saints. Let us endeavor to become one of these great Saints ourselves by following this devotion whole heatedly. We will certainly be in good company if we do as Montfort explains: It is true that on our way we have hard battles to fight and serious obstacles to overcome, but Mary, our Mother and Queen, stays close to her faithful servants. She is always at hand to brighten their darkness, clear away their doubts, strengthen them in their fears, sustain them in their combats and trials. Truly, in comparison with other ways, this virgin road to Jesus is a path of roses and sweet delights. There have been some saints, not very many, such as St. Ephrem, St. John Damascene, St. Bernard, St. Bernardine, St. Bonaventure, and St. Francis de Sales, who have taken this smooth path to Jesus Christ, because the Holy Spirit, the faithful Spouse of Mary, made it known to them by a special grace. The other saints, who are the greater number, while having a devotion to Mary, either did not enter or did not go very far along this path. That is why they had to undergo harder and more dangerous trials. (True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, #152) 30

And let us read then what these great Saints of the end times will look like: But what will they be like, these servants, these slaves, these children of Mary? They will be ministers of the Lord who, like a flaming fire, will enkindle everywhere the fires of divine love. They will become, in Mary's powerful hands, like sharp arrows, with which she will transfix her enemies. They will be as the children of Levi, thoroughly purified by the fire of great tribulations and closely joined to God. They will carry the gold of love in their heart, the frankincense of prayer in their mind and the myrrh of mortification in their body. They will bring to the poor and lowly everywhere the sweet fragrance of Jesus, but they will bring the odour of death to the great, the rich and the proud of this world. They will be like thunder-clouds flying through the air at the slightest breath of the Holy Spirit. Attached to nothing, surprised at nothing, troubled at nothing, they will shower down the rain of God's word and of eternal life. They will thunder against sin, they will storm against the world, they will strike down the devil and his followers and for life and for death, they will pierce through and through with the two-edged sword of God's word all those against whom they are sent by Almighty God. They will be true apostles of the latter times to whom the Lord of Hosts will give eloquence and strength to work wonders and carry off glorious spoils from his enemies. They will sleep without gold or silver and, more important still, without concern in the midst of other priests, ecclesiastics and clerics. Yet they will have the silver wings of the dove enabling them to go wherever the Holy Spirit calls them, filled as they are with the resolve to seek the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Wherever they preach, they will leave behind them nothing but the gold of love, which is the fulfillment of the whole law. Lastly, we know they will be true disciples of Jesus Christ, imitating his poverty, his humility, his contempt of the world and his love. They will point out the narrow way to God in pure truth according to the holy Gospel, and not according to the maxims of the world. Their hearts will not be troubled, nor will they show favour to anyone; they will not spare or heed or fear any man, however powerful he may be. They will have the two-edged sword of the word of God in their mouths and the blood-stained standard of the Cross on their shoulders. They will carry the crucifix in their right hand and the rosary in their left, and the holy names of Jesus and Mary on their heart. The simplicity and self-sacrifice of Jesus will be reflected in their whole behaviour. Such are the great men who are to come. By the will of God Mary is to prepare them to extend his rule over the impious and unbelievers. But when and how will this come about? Only God knows. For our part we must yearn and wait for it in silence and in prayer: "I have waited and waited." (True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, #56-59) Let us become these great saints. Let us love Jesus and Mary with all our hearts. 31

Psalm 130 (129) : De profundis Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord: Lord, hear my voice! O let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleading. If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt, Lord, who would survive? But with you is found forgiveness: for this we revere you. My soul is waiting for the Lord; I count on his word. My soul is longing for the Lord more than the watchman for daybreak. Let the watchman count on daybreak and Israel on the Lord. Because with the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption; Israel indeed he will redeem from all its iniquity. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. 32
