1 Assessment Task Notification Assessment Task No: 1 Q11 & 22 Short Responses Date Issued: Term 1, Week Date Due: Term 2, Week 2 Monday 4th February Weighting % SOR I = 10% SOR II = 20% Total = = 80 SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS This task will be ed to Mrs Rancic and SOR Team in a shared google file. The latest edit must occur no later than 8.30am on Term 2, Week 2 -Monday 4th February You must upload your VLOG. 2 for SOR II and 1 for SOR I Marking Criteria needs to be handed in to respective SOR staff. Term 2, Week 4-11th - 1th February 2019 students will sit random short responses under exam conditions. (12 minutes per response) SOR I - will complete 2 responses under exam conditions SOR II - will complete 4 responses under exam conditions CONTEXT (OR PURPOSE) FOR THE TASK SOR I & II Religion and Belief Systems in Australia post-194 The focus of this research is religious expression in Australia s multicultural and multi faith society since 194. This research includes an appreciation of Aboriginal Spiritualities and their contribution to an understanding of religious beliefs and religious expression in Australia today. Non Religion conducts effective research about religion and evaluates the findings from the research THE TASK Task Context: 1. Religion and Belief Systems in Australia post-194 The focus of this study is religious expression in Australia s multicultural and multi faith society since 194. The study includes an appreciation of Aboriginal Spiritualities and their contribution to an understanding of religious beliefs and religious expression in Australia today. 2. Religion and Non-Religion (SOR II students ONLY) The focus of this study is the human search for meaning through religion and non-religion. Task Description: 1. Students will complete Question 11 & 22 Style short answer questions. 2. Answer each question as it is a marker answer in the HSC Exam. 3. Choose one/two out the six questions and create a VLOG. ( A vlog is a set of videos that someone regularly posts on the internet in which they record their thoughts or experiences or talk about a subject. ) 4. SOR I students will complete 1 ONE VLOG.. SOR II students will complete 2 TWO VLOGS. 6. Short answer responses will use size 12 ARIAL font and double line spacing. 7. Each answer must have the question at the top of the page. 8. A footer on each page is needed to identify student, date of submission and title of Task. 9. Questions 1-4 are for both SOR I & SOR II students. 10. Questions & 6 are only for SOR II students.
