2 Exposition 1519 By:Joceline Atlacamani, Atl, and Quetzalcoatl all planned to meet up in the afternoon.the three of them had always had discussions about such downhearted things they thought there people did.never had they told anyone,worried they would be savagely killed for disagreeing with the people s religious sacrifices.atlacamani always brought interesting stories from the markets near the swampy waters.though the sacrifices were meant for the gods above they did not quite agree with the decision of killing others.knowing that Atl s father had been one of them. Most had been through such dark times Atl s father had been sacrificed,and Atlacamani father had died in battle not long ago.quetzalcoatl had not gone through much,but was a great guy making it impossible to not be friends.

3 Exposition 1519 By:Joceline To most people it seems unusual for a warrior's daughter and a slave's son to get along. Atlacamani grandfather took over her father's place.hearing the news was tragic,she broke down in tears. She bawled her eyes out for days and wanted to be alone for weeks.atlacamani mother walked by, she gasped and went outside for a while.she called Camani, a few minutes later Camani can you please go help your Grandfather,he s by the markets up ahead!. Camani was a short nickname,she responded with, sure i ll be over there as fast as i am done talking with Atl and Quetzalcoatl.Atlacamani informed them it was time to go she would be gone for sometime.atl and Quetzalcoatl babbled over Atlacamani letting them go along, C mon we will go with Quetzalcoatl said. Yeah,yeah c mon.they babbled for minutes until Camani finally let them come along as company.

4 Rising action 1519 By:Joceline As they lumbered through the city they realized the city was still and noiseless.atl chattes how the city was not the same as it had been days before, Hey guys!do you notice the city, it seems different well at least not as it used to be.there is usually many people in the markets and very crowded. No i do not see anything you might be imagining things as always,said Atlacamani.They continued to walk until they found Camani s grandfather.no one had said for hours untill they had arrived at Atlacamani s hme.her mother was outside,she looked sstunned as she stared at the edge of the city where they saw the placed filled with fellow family and friends.they stammpered through out the city until they reached the ege of the city by the swampy water.the place seemed a bit chilly from the water nearby they pushed through ll the people surrounding them.the three finally treached the front, where they saw a wierd shaped object in the distance,almost as if it were a mountai,but was moving.

5 Rising action 1519 By:Joceline The object came closer and closer.quetzalcoatl began to to get worried and remembered what they had learned in school.it was the acient story of the mighty god Quetzalcoatl, who in the year 1519 would come down to the land. Look its the mighty god Quetzalcoatl! everyone gasped they were anxious and excited to see him.the object kept getting much closer until it had finally arrived.the god came out.he was not alone he came accompanied by other people.he showed off his weapons and the people loved it.the day had passed and they fell asleep to wake up with commotion and chaos.

6 Climax by Hector Ramirez II The gods have turned on Moctezuma II. Were they even Gods to begin with someone said in the background. I am not liking this feeling ATL says. Why are the gods punishing us was my father sacrificed for NOTHING! ATL says in anger. ATL sneaks into Atlacamani home as the home is empty and looks dusty and quiet. ATL grabs the all mighty sword of Atlacamani father, so shiny and long. I think to myself but still I can not do anything against the gods they are powerful ATL said thinking to himself. Meanwhile Quetzalcoatl and Atlacamani are caught on the cross fire and are almost being cornered. I went outside and hear a rumor that Moctezuma II has been captured! ATL said. I hope that our ruler is healthy and safe and does not get killed Atl says in concern.

7 Climax by Hector Ramirez II It is no longer safe at this area. Atl needs to go and run for the evacuation point where he can escape. I run throughout the city where I hear screams and see many warriors looking lifeless on the ground. says Atl. I cannot bare to watch this tragic moment that will scar me for life said Atl I pass by dirty and scared kids who cannot find their mother and soldiers dying in the battlefield said Atl. Atl arrives at the exit gate but sees someone in the distance. I think that is Atlacmani s grandfather! witnessed Atl. A cannon ball hits the building and is about to fall on Grandfather! Atl runs on his sandals on the powdery dirt and slides and grabs Grandfather out of the rubble coming down. Thank you whoever you are said Grandfather. I m Atl nice to meet you Atl greeting. Well who might yoo oh I ahhh Grandfather whispers. Atl thinks he fainted and lies him down in a house with food and water. That should keep him safe until then said Atl.

8 Climax by Hector Ramirez II I run wild and try to escape while my eyes are getting tired and blurry and get slower and slower through time says Atl. Atl has stop to take a rest. IN the distance he sees something fiery and spherical shape coming right at him... it is a misfired rusty cannon ball. The cannonball hits the tall and huge trees and the melons drop down and (PLOP) the melon hits Atl in the head and knocks him out. Atl wakes up and thinks that the attack on the empire was just a dream. What a dream it smells of gunpowder and smoke. Atl realizes. Atl turns around and sees buildings on fire and rubble with cannon balls laying around as they were already used. Atl has strength from his nap and runs as fast as he can trying to look for the shiny sword. Atl finds the long sharp sword and grabs it with his silky hand from the rusty rubble of the trees. Atl infiltrates the battlefield where he finds Quetzalcoatl and Atlacamani fighting for the empire were Atl joins them in the fight. We are friends but we will fight till the end not for our god's not for ourselves but for the Empire and people. Atl said with pride. They may have killed our ruler but not the empire. Atl says.

9 Falling action The friends fight with all of their strength, until shockingly, the men start to flee. Their hearts drop as they realize that this will not be the end. They will no doubt come back to finish the job, and when they do, we will surely still be here. murmured Quetzalcoatl. Should we stay and fight till our last breath, or do we run like a cowards and abandon the city. Atl said, eyes looking down. If we run now, then we will get caught and die a coward's death. If we stay, we will die as people who fought for this city, till the very end! Atlacamani said, words powerful and loud. It was settled. The friends were going to stay and fight. As night time loomed, flashbacks of the day raced in their minds. By Diego Soto

10 Falling Action As morning arose, the friends noticed that their settings were completely different. Instead of being in Tenochtitlan, they were on the coast of the lake Tenochtitlan was built on. In the distance, they saw Tenochtitlan in ruins. Wh...What happened, Atlacamani said, fear in her eyes. It must have been my Grandfather. He told me that he didn t want us to die here, but I did not take him seriously. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Quetzalcoatl said. How could you say that? We were going to fight till the end, for this city. Alt said, furiously. Think about it like this, if we stayed, we most likely would have died without making a difference. Because we left, we will now be able to help gather other survivors, from across the Empire. Quetzalcoatl explained. Alt calmed down. As long as I make a difference for this Empire, I will be happy to die for it. Alt boldly By Diego Soto

11 Resolution The friends head to the trees outside the lake. If they got caught now, then their deaths would be worthless ones. We need to get out of here, the gods could see us and finish the job. Quetzalcoatl exclaims. Well then let us go, we will do anything to help this empire, regardless of the fact that we are underpowered. Alt says. The friends set of at a fast pace, trying to get away, and spot a group god s followers. A horrid expression shows up on their face as they realise that they are spotted by them. Atl clinches the shiny sword. I guess our time is to act now. Atl says, as he hears the Spanish screams at him. All three friends charge at them, knowing well that this is a sacrifice they are all willing to make. It has been great knowing you, thanks for everything. Atlacamani yells.
