Regards Jon Brian 5th Grade Teacher I Watch The News Everyday By Stan Stanchev I watch the news everyday To see if there is peace. I heard that two million People had died today. One million yesterday. Two million on Wednesday. One hundred thousand on Thursday. And peace would appear on Saturday. I woke up and could not stop Dreaming of nice news. Why don t nice dreams Transform into facts? If peace would fly through our lives, Instead of plane accidents and wars, Our dreams would not be ruined. I heard the news on Sunday. World Peace had broken out.

2 It s Just a Dream By Marilu Lucescu It s love and joy, Not hate and worry. There s no more loss, No more dieing or killing. You dream while still at war, And suddenly your wish comes true! You re home again With family and friends But then you wake It s time to go! Where? You wonder. But of course, Back to the battlefield again! It s Peace Again By Marilu Lucescu When bees are buzzing in the tree, When children smile with playful glee, When flowers, trees wait for the sun, When you know you can have fun, When tears and grief no more abound, When all you hear are happy sounds, It s peace again, you must be proud, And you can shout it out loud!

3 Time and Time Again By Marilu Lucescu Time and time again, People screaming out in pain. People laying dead. Others begging for bread. You cannot run, you cannot hide. Men are hiding, Women are running, Never enough, Of anything. Caves are bursting, Oceans are drying, No one wins, Nothing is left, NOT EVEN HOPE!

6 For Peace? By Andrei Chereces I was running, with my gun In my blood soaked hands. I was tired, my heart was As cold as an ice-berg. I was hurt, I was alone. All my fellow soldiers Did their jobs, But they didn't make it. I knew that we had won. But we didn't win for war, We won for peace. It was the thing that helped us All along the way. I threw my weapon Into the foggy, white sky. And then fell to the ground. I knew that I was Not going to make it. The letter told my mother I had died for peace. 8 What a Loss of Everything By Diane Marpozan Think about the relationship Between other people. If we keep on like this, What will happen to everything? People, homes, places, land, Will all be destroyed Maybe not on the outside, But in the inside they will be hurt. We should all be together, Being happy for what we have. Not fighting for it. What if we didn t have anything to give? And nothing to take? We keep on doing and doing Things that are horrible. What if once, We weren t able to fight anymore? Would we think about things differently? What if it is too late, To change anything? What a loss of everything.

9 What Have We Done By Diane Marpozan Everything is so different from before, Fire, blood, gunshots, And people crying for help Everywhere! Cries of fright! Sounding clearly everywhere. People suffering, Because of other people s meanness. This lasts for Days, Weeks, months, and even years! No one knowing When it will end. Then after so much damage People start to think, What Have We Done?

10 Solutions For War By Brittany Powers A war to end all wars, That s what we were told, But one white lie Destroyed many fold. War is a hateful thing, Most start with religion. But religions are different, Remember to respect Different faces and colors, Please don t neglect! So what shall we do? I ll tell you what, Just stop the fighting And listen to my plot. If you confront others, About war and attack, Be prepared to defend, But please don t fight back! Do not fight, Just stand ready, If war breaks out, Just stand steady. Remember to help Stop war, it is final. Destroy the battle, Give it denial.

11 There was a war, or was there? By Jonathan Dinh There was a war. We were beating them. Finally, it ended with them hitting the ground. They were begging for mercy. I can see I can see that violence is not the solution. All I see is men started killing, But with a miracle, Peace appeared. It revived the damages, It revived the soldiers, But most of all, It revived their soul. It was defending their souls, The violence has disappeared. No more war started, But light was shining in my eyes, I woke up and saw the sun rising. Too bad It was only a dream.
