2 Welcome to another day of Safari adventure out here in the wild! Today, we are not only venturing out into the plains of Africa AND having some extra-sweet fun along the way! Not a lot of people know this, but the animals we have here in our Safari LOVE sugar! So we thought we d celebrate being out in the wild with a little SUGAR RUSH! What is your favorite treat to have when you come home from school or after you ve eaten a good meal? (Wait for response) Those all sound so yummy! Well you ll be getting a special treat today too in small group! PS WILD WK 4 (1) Now, I ll be your guide on our Safari today! Before I go on any Safari, I like to first STOP and PRAY! Lead Kids in Prayer Did you know that Jambo means Hello in Swahili? Look at that, you learned something new! As we start our Safari today, let s say Jambo to Jesus! So Safari Seekers, let s stand up and say hello to Jesus with our worship! PS WILD WK 4 (2) Let s check in with them and see what we have to find today! You heard it, explorers! We are looking for Gerald s Glasses! Does anyone see a pair of glasses? (Have kids look for hidden glasses.) We found them! (Glasses) Let s check out our Bible story to see what these glasses are for! But wait, during our Bible story we might see a little camera in the corner. When we do, we re going to pretend to take a picture like this! (Host pretends to snap a pic with their hands) All right, get those cameras out and let s explore the Bible! PS WILD WK 4 (3) What animal did we meet on our Safari? (An Elephant) I wonder if he knows Ellie! Paul and his friends loved Jesus very much. Everywhere they went, they would tell people about Jesus. Paul and his friends wrote letters to the people in God s family. These letters helped them know about WHO God is and HOW He wants us to live. We can read those letters and other messages from God when we read the Bible. PS WILD WK 4 (4)

4 Everybody repeat the Need to Know after me! We Can Read (thumbs to chest) The Bible! (make book with hands) The letters Paul and his friends wrote were put into what book? (The Bible) Gerald wanted His glasses so He can read what s in the Bible! He couldn t see without them! We can read the Bible, too! We can read the Bible every day to see WHO God is and HOW He wants us to live too! PS WILD WK 4 (5) When we read through the true stories in the Bible, we can see the wonderful things God wants us to know! Let s worship! Jesus loves it when we love others! And we can show the love of Jesus when we complete our Family Missions PS WILD WK 4 (6) During the months of February and March we are showing kindness to children in foster care! We can do this by making care kits. Everything you need to know about making a kit is on the flyer that looks like this. So be sure to ask your parents to take a look. Once you collect the items, you can drop your kit/s off at any CF Kids Drop Spot near check-in. Now for some Sugar Rush fun! (Host grabs jar w/jumping jellybeans and accidentally spills it) Oh no! All the jumping jellybeans have fallen out of their jar! PS WILD WK 4 (7) In order to get a jellybean back in the jar we must complete the action on the jellybean as a group! But wait, we need to get all 6 jellybeans in the jar before the time runs out! Let s play Jumping Jellybean! Refer to instructions on Cue Card 9/Host Leads Game Thanks for getting the jellybeans back in the jar! Working together can be lots of fun. When we read the Bible, we can see stories of people working together to follow God and show others His love. Here at CF Kids, we can also come together as family and friends to read the Bible. 6 Jumping Jellybeans Instructions: Oh no! All the jumping jellybeans have fallen out of their jar! In order to get a jellybean back in the jar you must complete the action on the jellybean as a group! But wait, you need to get all 6 jellybeans in the jar before the time runs out!
