Thank you for your interest in the She Laughs Women s Conference! We are thrilled to start this conversation with you. As you prayerfully consider partnering with us to bring this conference to the women in your church and community, we want you to get to know us better. And while we would much rather be sharing a cup of coffee with you, we like to think of this packet as our introduction to you. Hello! This is WHO WE ARE: She Laughs is a two-session event designed to empower women to live clothed with strength and dignity and laugh without fear of the future (Proverbs 31:25). Katy McCown, wife of NFL quarterback Luke McCown, Lisa Allen, Executive Director of Ministry Training at Proverbs 31 Ministries, and Shari Braendel, President of Fashion Meets Faith, unite their unique messages to encourage women to position their hearts under God s hand and prepare their hearts for His plan. Through Biblical teaching and everyday examples, they guide women to discover God s passions planted in their hearts and make an impact on their world for His glory. WHAT WE RE ALL ABOUT: She Laughs creates a comfortable environment for women of all ages to embrace exactly who they are in Jesus Christ. At the conference, a woman can expect to: Prepare and position her heart for God s glory Begin crafting a personal mission statement Reveal her inner beauty and revel in her outer beauty Engage a Spirit of power and purpose to fuel the future And of course, we laugh! A lot! Though the specific times of the event can be altered to fit a church s needs, this Friday night/saturday morning event allows even the busiest woman time to step away and fellowship with other women, while connecting to her Savior in a personal, unique way.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the conference comes at the conclusion when conference attendees receive an arrow. Each woman is encouraged to use her arrow, painted on a small piece of wood, to record a Scripture, word or phrase that points to what God taught her and how He revealed Himself and His plans to her during the weekend. As the definition above explains, we will become allies in the mission to help women walk in strength and dignity and laugh without fear of the future. Through our partnership, we will bring this dynamic conference to your church to impact the women in your community. CHURCH PARTNER: WHAT YOU PROVIDE She Laughs asks our church partners to provide the following: Venue large enough to seat at least 200 women* Sound, video & light equipment specialist to work with a member of our team* Worship team to begin each session with 20-30 minutes of praise* Emcee to kick off, transition, and close throughout the event* Up to 5 (6 or 8 ) tables for registration and speakers Team of volunteers to serve during the event Team of men to serve the ladies by opening doors, providing security, etc. Green room space for speakers to prepare with light snacks and drinks Commitment to use advertising material provided by She Laughs to build excitement in your church and community Up to 4 hotel rooms for conference team and speakers Transportation to and from hotel, airport, conference venue, etc. for all She Laughs speakers and team members (preferably 1-2 people designated for all transportation) Designated representative to communicate with She Laughs on behalf of the church We also encourage churches to provide refreshments such as finger foods, coffee and drinks before and after each session. * At She Laughs we seek to connect attendees to the local church. We prefer for our conferences to be held where the local church worships and for local church members to serve in the roles of worship team and emcee.

Katy blogs about how to laugh without fear and live with faith at www.katymccown.com. When she s not writing, schooling, speaking, or packing boxes, Katy enjoys a strong cup of coffee or two. Lisa Allen (left) Lisa Allen has a passion for and connection to women and uses this passion as Executive Director of Ministry Training at Proverbs 31 Ministries. Lisa s experience has uniquely prepared her to develop and facilitate training and workshops for church staff, leadership teams, women s ministry teams, and executive teams. She also has extensive team coaching experience with organizations locally and internationally facilitating DISC, Gallup Strengthsfinders, leadership development, and team building. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and has two collegeage children. The highlights include: Jesus gives us strength and dignity but it is our choice whether we live in His gift; to laugh without fear of the future we must replace fear of the future with fear of the Lord. Katy wraps up with the truth that each woman is uniquely wired inwardly and intentionally formed outwardly for God s glory and purposes. The rest of the conference is the overflow if this truth. What Shoe Are You?, Lisa Allen In this message Lisa Allen leads women to discover their God-given strengths and also the weaknesses caused by sin. With Ephesians 2:10 as the basis of her points, she discusses four "shoes" and how identifying these character traits helps us work together as the body of Christ to fulfill His purposes. Hairspray and High Heels, Shari Braendel Based on the truth in Psalm 34:5, Shari leads women to embrace their outward appearance and care for themselves in a way that honors God and points others to Him. Shari discusses the wounds associated with worldly ideas of beauty and, through practical application, encourages women to embrace exactly how God made them physically, because He did not make a mistake! Called, Confident and On Mission, Lisa Allen In this message Lisa leads women to begin crafting a personal mission statement. With Biblical truths including Ephesians 4:1, Esther 4:13-16 and 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, Lisa addresses the issue of pursuing God's assignments, not just any assignment. In this hands-on session, Lisa helps women seek God first then begin to pursue His assignments. Transformation, Shari Braendel This is a time where Shari shares her personal testimony. There is not one Scripture that defines this message, however she shares the transformational life story of how God's love through His Son, Jesus, never fails and is always available.
