2 THURSDAY The primary school has enrolled more students for next year. Please pray for six more teachers to join the school staff. 3 FRIDAY The rental contract for their building will expire this year. Pray for them to find a larger building with a playground. 4 SATURDAY Pray for 30 more students for the middle school to cover the cost of seven full-time and three part-time teachers. 5 SUNDAY Grant money provides scholarships for poor pastors kids. Pray for funds to offer aid in the new school year. 6 MONDAY Each year, more grades are added so the children can stay in the school. Pray for students to love Jesus more each year. 7 TUESDAY A preschool was started for poor kids. As families trust teachers, pray they will trust Christ. FUN FACT: Sometimes, Chinese people learning English add a g after the /on/ sound. Q: Why should we, as native English speakers, be gracious toward them? A. 8 WEDNESDAY In many countries, the deaf are considered an unreached people group. Most churches don t have a deaf interpreter using sign language. In Uganda, deaf people are often seen as cursed by God. Some Ugandan mission workers are changing things. They learned sign language to communicate with the deaf community and plan fun activities for them. As they build trust and friendship, they share the story of Jesus in sign language. 9 THURSDAY Pray for the deaf. Because they cannot hear, they pronounce words differently than people who can hear. Some people wrongly assume they have a mental disability. 10 FRIDAY Many people in Uganda think that deaf kids are cursed. What nonsense! Pray for more Christian ministries for the deaf. 11 SATURDAY Pray for picture books for deaf students. They need the visual cues (helps) in textbooks even more than hearing kids. 12 SUNDAY The African continent suffers from a book famine. Their lack of books hinders learning. Pray for textbooks for Christian schools. 13 MONDAY The deaf kids love the annual camp. Pray that each camper will experience God s love and, in turn, love God. 14 TUESDAY About 85% of Ugandans claim Christian belief. Pray, because many are church members but have no repentance from sin. FUN FACT: Many kids enjoy learning sign language with music. But sign language is more than art to deaf people it s their language. Q: How can Jesus words in Mark 4:9 be true of a deaf person who has ears, but can t hear? A: Our verse this week isn t talking about physical hearing, but having a listening spirit eager to accept and obey God s truth.
15 WEDNESDAY Football (Soccer) is Colombia s most popular sport, but the traditional sport is Tejo. It s a team sport of launching projectiles, objects sent flying into the air, at a target. Leaders with The Lord s Vineyard of Colombia ministry have a better target. They aim to win people to the Lord. They help needy people along the Orinoco River, bordering neighboring Venezuela, a country having food shortages. Missionaries sharing food have seen 138 people turn to Christ recently. 16 THURSDAY A missionary serving on that border reported that Venezuelan people come across for food help and shed tears when he shares the gospel. 17 FRIDAY Pray for more funds for food, clothing and baby formula for Venezuelan families along the Orinoco River border. 18 SATURDAY Pray for Venezuela. Not only is Colombia affected by their neighbor s troubles; gas prices near you are rising due to a crisis there. 19 SUNDAY Pray for Colombian missionaries saddling up their horses on the great adventure of taking the gospel to rural villages. 20 MONDAY Pray for funds to buy 100 Bibles to distribute among a growing number of new believers. 21 TUESDAY Praise the Lord! In three different tribes, 510 tribal believers have been coming to Bible study. Pray for more Bible trainers. FUN FACT: The game Tejo is seldom known beyond Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Panama. 22 WEDNESDAY Did you see the active volcanoes in the news? Mount Cameroon is a volcano with the most eruptions in West Africa. When volcanoes erupt, burning lava (melted rock) flows. It greatly alters the landscape. Jesus alters a different landscape, changing people s lives for the good. A young woman involved in idol worship, witchcraft, drinking, and drugs put her faith in Christ under the teaching of a native missionary. Her transformed life caught the attention of a Muslim doctor who became a believer. The doctor brought others to Jesus. Pray for these new believers as ministry workers teach them the ways of Christ. Pray for peace. 25 SATURDAY Pray for Cameroon s parliament members who attend the Bible study close to the parliament building. 26 SUNDAY Christian radio and TV broadcasting is legal. This good law means more people will hear about Jesus. Pray for citizens to trust in Jesus. 27 MONDAY Real change doesn t just come through good laws. Pray for God s grace to change hearts in Cameroon. 28 TUESDAY One of the biggest prayer needs is for church attenders to truly repent and really know Jesus and obey God s Word. 29 WEDNESDAY Missionaries are taking the gospel to idol worshipers in West Cameroon. Pray for idol worshipers to lose faith in idols. 30 THURSDAY The Baka tribal people in the rainforest live in fear of forest spirits. Pray for Christians to share the gospel with them. 31 FRIDAY Pray for Christian Aid Mission, as we help over 385 indigenous ministries in different lands.

PRAISE REPORT TURKEY, Middle East Mira* went to bed upset, her picture Bible was lost. How could it disappear in their small refugee tent?
