Welcome STEWARDSHIP/ MINISTRIES Christmas Gift Tags Available If you and your family would like to donate to a needy Northbridge family please choose a tag from the tables located at the entrances of the Church and Chapel this weekend. Tags are available for children s gifts, children s clothing, Food Gift Cards and St. Vincent de Paul fuel assistance. Toy and clothing gifts should be wrapped and have the tag attached when they are brought to the Parish Center. All gifts must be brought to church no later than 12:00 Noon on Sunday, December 17th. Reflections: Welcome Air Conditioning Fund Reaches its Goal! Friends, I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that we have raised the funds for the Air Conditioning / Heating System at St. Patrick s Church. As you remember we launched this campaign at the end of May. During hot summer days the new system will help us to create a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment during worship on Sundays, at funerals and weddings. Hot and humid weather can be oppressive and distractive. Second of all, the system will also support our existing heating system particularly in the fall and the spring months. Lastly, creating a climate controlled environment will help us to prevent the paint from deteriorating. Having completing the renovation of the interior of the church this is very important to us as well. The fundraiser has been very successful and the generosity of many parishioners and support of this project has been nothing but amazing. Over 134 parishioners contributed $144,185.00 to this project. Our original goal was set at $120,000.00. Our recent review of the project, however, revealed that our electrical system had to be upgraded to a greater extent than was initially anticipated and more electrical power is needed to accommodate the project. The electrical system needs to be changed from a one-phase panel to a three-phase panel, which will benefit our church building in and of itself. As you can imagine National Grid has to be involved in this project in addition to our electrician. The breakdown of the project and the additional cost amounts to $23,890.00 more than the original estimate of $120,000.00. Below is the breakdown of the cost: The installation of the AC/H system: $111,050.00 Connecting the AC/H system to electrical panel: $ 9,758.00 National Grid Upgrade: $ 7,809.07 Installation of the three-phase panel: $15,273.74 Total cost: $143,890.81 Together with the Finance Committee and the Building Committee I am looking forward to the completion of this project. Our hope is to start and finish the electrical upgrades of the project before Christmas and begin installing the H/AC units after the first of the year. The installation of the system should take about a month. Again, I wish to thank everyone who has contributed to this project. The NAC Food Pantry helps local area families, and will accept any nonperishable food in date.
