Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! Blessed is the KING of ISRAEL! John 12:13 Check out our new Church Library!! More information on Page 6. An Easter message from Rev. Bill... Christ the Lord Has Risen Today! Easter is a time of celebration for and appreciation of our Savior. Jesus suffered, died, and on the third day rose from the grave defeating death. He is victorious! Luke 24:1-6 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightening stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! After his resurrection, Jesus walked, talked, ate and ministered to those around him. He was not dead, but truly alive. We as Christians celebrate this day as one of the most important Christian holidays because it brings us hope of everlasting life for everyone who serves him. As we celebrate Easter with egg hunts, Lent services, coloring eggs, parties and family dinners, reflect on the true purpose of Easter hope of everlasting life in Christ. Share with each other in his glorious celebration by giving him praise and honor thanking him for his sacrifice for us. May God s blessing and the assurance of Christ s eternal love be with each of you. Spread the good news that our Savior is no longer dead, but has risen indeed! -Rev. Bill

We look forward to giving a detailed presentation to CIA in the near future. ~Tom Schaner Check out the Dunkirk 2017 camp brochures that describe and list dates/ costs of all their camps and special retreats and events. Each month, we will tell you a little about a book in our library. New to our library this month is a book that has just been written and published by Dr. Kenneth Haugk (founder of Stephen Ministry). Cancer - Now What? is a practical guide for those with cancer, their loved ones and caregivers. It s filled with a wide range of useful information while offering compassion, encouragement and hope. One reviewer wrote, Written with Dr. Haugk s warm, conversational tone, it s like a knowledgeable, caring friend has come over to help, right when you need it the most. The library has a shortage of children s books. Please help us by donating children s books (new or gently used) based on bible stories. Books can be dropped off in bin provided in the library or at the church office. Custodians: Pamela & David Kaznica 716-913-6927 (David) 716-913-7504 (Pamela) Because of Easter Monthly Food Drive On the first Sunday of the month, we welcome you to bring in nonperishable food items for the UPC Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry in Blasdell. If you d like to take a turn delivering the food during the week, sign up on the bulletin board. The joyful news that [Christ] is risen does not change the contemporary world. Still before us lie work, discipline, sacrifice. But the fact of Easter gives us the spiritual power to do the work, accept the discipline, and make the sacrifice. Henry Knox Sherrill
