We look forward to celebrating the New Year with you! Babysitting is available for children, newborn to 4 years of age, and is overseen by our wonderful Early Childhood staff. High Holiday Children s Services Guidelines 1. Children s Services occur during the Rabbi s Sermon and when the sanctuary doors are closed. Generally, once inside the sanctuary, no one is permitted to enter and those present are asked not to leave so that the community can remain focused. Therefore, your children will not be able to come in and find you. If you are concerned that you will need to check on your children during this time, please consider listening to services in the Kiddush lounge where the services are broadcast through speakers. 2. During Children s Services, Chaperones will be stationed at the doors to children s services and the youngest members of our community will be permitted to exit only with their parent or guardian. 3. Children s services are divided into three groups, ages 4 5, 6-7 and 8 12. Children s services are lead by an adult educator in an interactive ritual and prayer setting. Teen volunteers assist in each room. 4. Parents are welcome to sit and join their children in services. 5. Please consider volunteering to be a chaperone in your child s group to help make these days less stressful for the youngest members of our community.
