Active Shooter Training Course October 16, 2018 at 6:30 pm Church Hall. The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Women s Guild in conjunction with the Bedford Police Department and the Bedford Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is sponsoring the Active Shooter Training Course. This training is meant to prepare civilians for the possibility that they could be targeted in a violent intruder event, giving them the knowledge to help save their own lives and the lives of others in the crucial minutes before law enforcement arrives. Please join us October 16, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the church hall. What is a Cursillo Weekend? The Cursillo weekend is a short course in Christianity. The purpose of the weekend is to facilitate an encounter with Christ in order to experience a full and progressive renewal of baptismal commitments. The focus of the weekend is initially the individual s relationship with Christ, then the development of the Christian Ideal, and finally the application of this ideal to their environment. The three day weekend is also the bridge connecting the pre-cursillo phase with the supportive post-cursillo community. Fall Cursillo: Men s Retreat You are invited to a wonderful Fall Cursillo men s Retreat in lovely Gorham, NH. It begins on Thursday evening, October 18th and ends on Sunday afternoon, October 21st. Lodging is at the Town & Country Inn and presentations will be at Holy Family Parish, both in Gorham. The cost for the 3 days is $175 and financial help is available. We ve just filled the last of our spaces for this years Craft Fair, and look forward to another successful year of presenting unique and handmade arts, crafts, and artisanal food from all over New England. In addition, we will have our very own Women s Guild/Parish craft and bakery tables, food and drinks served by our Knights of Columbus, and a basket raffle. Please know that requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY CRUSADE The world is at a historic crossroad. God is more offended than ever as people ignore Our Lady s maternal request to stop offending God. Yes, we must listen to Our Lady s request and stop sinning if we hope to enjoy God s blessings and to avert His wrath. He will hear us, if we pray through the intercession of His Blessed Mother. That s why we re doing the 2018 Public Square Rosary Crusade. TWENTY-SEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Registration for the 2018/2019 St. Elizabeth Seton CYO Basketball program is now open. St Elizabeth Seton fields competitive boys basketball teams for parishioners in grades 5 through 12. The parish also fields competitive girls basketball teams for parishioners in grades 5 through 8. There is also a developmental 3rd/4th grade coed league. Last year the parish had 11 teams in the program. One of our high school teams were New Hampshire State and New England Regional Champions. Our 5th/6th grade girls team and one of our 8th grade boys teams were New Hampshire State Champions. ALL previous players and NEW players MUST register in order to be rostered. Registration is available online at www.sesparishcyo.com. Parishion ers must be enrolled and active in a religious education program or have made their confirmation in order to play. Two non-parishioners per team are allowed to play on each team (space permitting). More info can be found at stelizabethsetonchurch.org, under Organizations, CYO Basketball.
