You might also want to set up a number line in the classroom. Use sentence strip paper (or any long paper). Choose a good space on the wall to begin a number line. There should be room to go to at least 100. Write the number 0 on the paper. On the first day of school write the number 1. Each day after that the children will write the next number on the strip.you might want to alternate the color of strips to make a pattern and highlight groups of ten.
