Page 4 Meet our Stephen Minister Jim Mulanix with wife, Darlene Stephen Ministry One of the main reasons that I become a Stephen Minister is I felt a need to serve our Lord. That was not happening at the time. It almost felt as though something in my life was missing. I would come to church, help as an usher, socialize, go to dinners. You know, all the usual things. Yet, in the back of my mind there was this tiny little piece that was missing or out of line. I had heard about the Stephen Ministers, but had not a clue as to what they did, so one Sunday I stopped a person wearing a blue badge and asked what it was that he did as a Stephen Minister. He told me about listening to people who were troubled. That as a Stephen Minister we work with folks who have lost a friend or family member. We make visitations to hospitals, rehabs and hospice. Every person we see or speak with, we do so in the Healing and Loving Spirit of Jesus Christ. The Stephen Minister is but a messenger with a cool drink of water and the Light of Christ. There is more, but I'll let that go until next month. Oh, that little piece that was out of kilter - it feels much better now, but still a wee, small space exists, I guess God isn't done with me yet. Stephen Ministers are only the CAREgivers Christ is the CUREgiver.

Youth Leaders Joe & Julie McNaughton Thank you to our wonderful congrega on for their love and support for 28 of our youth and children (plus three adult volunteers) who a ended a week away at the Warren Willis Camp near Leesburg, Florida. It is difficult to capture in a few photographs the variety of ac vi es that the students par cipated in, but here are a few pictures from the week.
