It is very simple. Participants in the Spiritual Adoption Program pledge to pray for nine months for a baby in danger of abortion. While this child will remain unknown to his or her 'spiritual parent', God knows who the child is. Many people have found that naming 'their child' helps to keep them focused on the reality that their prayers are helping to save a particular baby from the harm of abortion. The members of Holy Family Parish will have the opportunity to spiritually adopt a baby who is 4 months having been conceived as of July, 2018. You will receive monthly reports through the parish bulletin and describing your baby s development. Your child will be born in February 2019. We will end our program with a Baby Shower with gifts going to the Pregnancy Care Center. There are millions babies desperately in need of your prayers. Won t you please spiritually adopt one and share the love for life that God have given you? It is not possible, I say not possible, ever to exhaust the mind of the Scriptures. It is a well which has no bottom. St. John Chrysostom

National Holodomor Memorial Day Saturday, November 24, 2018 85 Years since the Genocide. As we gather this year to pray for the victims of the Famine Genocide in Ukraine, let us also remember the victims of today s Russian aggression against Ukraine, including the lives that have been sacrificed for the right of every Ukrainian to live in freedom with dignity on Ukrainian soil on which rule of law prevails and fundamental human rights are respected. At 19:32 (7:32 p.m.) local time - pause for a moment of silence wherever one may be to honour the memory of the victims. Light a candle of remembrance in one's home (preferably in a window visible to the street). Post photos of your candles on social media with your thoughts of remembrance. Request local churches to toll their bells ten times at 19:32 in honour of the victims. Thanksgiving Dinner Prayer Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day, we bow our hearts to You and pray. We give You thanks for all You ve done; especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son. We thank You for beauty in nature, for joy and health, for friends and family, for daily provisions, and Your mercy and care. These are the blessings You graciously share. So today we offer this response of praise with a promise to follow You all of our days. Amen. Fr. John Mostivsky and the Parish Pastoral Council wish all parishioners a Happy, Healthy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
