St. John Journey may 2015 A message from The pastor Michael Foss, in a book titled Power Surge, has developed the 6 Marks of Discipleship. The Marks of Discipleship are: PRAY Daily WORSHIP weekly READ the Bible SERVE at and beyond Church Be in RELATIONSHIP to encourage spiritual growth in others GIVE of my time, talents and resources. As I reflect on these Marks of Discipleship, I begin to see places where I excel and other places where I need work. We are called to be Disciples of the Risen Lord Jesus. A disciple is a student, and as a student of the Risen Lord we are called to learn from Christ s example. Over the next few months as a part of my monthly newsletter articles I want to explore what it means to be a student, a disciple of Christ. I will explore the differences between what it means to be a member of a church and being a disciple of Jesus. Pastor Scott
