One page (B&W) flyers will be prepared and distributed at all Masses one to two weeks prior to the event. This is a special occasion since it is a Council as well as Parish (for adult male parishioners) event featuring a home cooked spaghetti dinner with fixings and a brief presentation by our Worthy Field Agent Michael Boykin on the benefits of Knighthood with KoC insurance and annuity products. Brother Knights, so inclined, were asked to participate in a Diocesan Support Appeal call-a-thon, where the volunteers would call specific parishioners to remind them that Fr. Winslow would be asking all parishioners for a pledge right from their pews during
the subject masses. Remember that 25% of all donations collected from our parishioners comes back immediately to St. Thomas Aquinas for our own parish needs. Sister Edeva asked the Knights to provide transportation to just north of Greensboro, NC for our parish youth to attend a devotional retreat on June 16 with pick-up on 6/20. Unfortunately, this coincides with our Squires convention that Council members are providing transportation. However if anyone is available and willing to provide rides for our youth, please contact GK Will Murphy. Fr. Winslow wants to build a deck for the rectory. He will provide the lumber and building materials and is asking our Council to provide the labor to build it. Two additional seminarians from our parish are expected to be enrolled officially in Seminary.
