Grand Knight s Report The volunteers who will be moving the rectangular tables from AH to the FC Gym will meet at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 20 th at AH. The Columbiettes are confident that all the tables will be utilized by vendors. The Fraternal Benefits Dinner Gathering is currently targeted for September. One page (B&W) flyers will be prepared and distributed at all Masses one to two weeks prior to the event. This is a special occasion since it is a Council as well as Parish (for adult male parishioners) event featuring a home cooked spaghetti dinner with fixings and a brief presentation by our Worthy Field Agent Michael Boykin on the benefits of Knighthood with KoC insurance and annuity products. Brother Knights, so inclined, were asked to participate in a Diocesan Support Appeal call-a-thon, where the volunteers would call specific parishioners to remind them that Fr. Winslow would be asking all parishioners for a pledge right from their pews during

the subject masses. Remember that 25% of all donations collected from our parishioners comes back immediately to St. Thomas Aquinas for our own parish needs. Sister Edeva asked the Knights to provide transportation to just north of Greensboro, NC for our parish youth to attend a devotional retreat on June 16 with pick-up on 6/20. Unfortunately, this coincides with our Squires convention that Council members are providing transportation. However if anyone is available and willing to provide rides for our youth, please contact GK Will Murphy. Fr. Winslow wants to build a deck for the rectory. He will provide the lumber and building materials and is asking our Council to provide the labor to build it. Two additional seminarians from our parish are expected to be enrolled officially in Seminary. We will not be able to provide an RSVP gift for this fraternal year but will bring it up during our meetings in the coming 2014/15 year. GK Will asked for us to consider a gift for Fr. Emeka Christopher Okwitosa of the Society of Devine Vocations. Treasurer s Report As of end of April Checking 13,253.15 Money Market 5,815.39 Restricted Bldg. Worthy Deputy Grand Knight Ed Jones then led the Program Directors reports: ADMISSIONS REPORTS No new applications this month and no report from Brother Art Mathiue.

Church/Pro-Life SK Paul Deer reminded us that we have Eucharistic Adoration almost every day of the week: 9:00AM to 12:00 PM every Mon., Tues., Thur. and Fri. and 12:45 to 7:00 PM on Wed. Devine Mercy holy hour will not be conducted on 07/04 but moved to Friday, 07/11. The readings are available on our church website. These are rich excerpts from the Diary of St. Faustina. Brothers are urged to join the Men of Veritas who meet the 2 nd and 4 th Saturdays of the month in AH at 8:30 AM. This timing coincides with our respect for life activities in which all members are welcome to participate. The two weekly Pro-life rosaries are conducted every Wed. evening at 6:15 PM and every Saturday evening at 5:00 PM prior to the5:30. The third Ultrasound device (for both mobile and stationary use) is being purchased with help from National and the device manufacturer to supplement the two units currently in service. This will require raising $5,000 to offset part of the cost.. Community No report. Family Brother Tom Yaroma is planning another Intimidators game on Sat. 7/12 or 7/19 at 7:05 start times. Further notice is forthcoming. Another Ice-cream Social is targeted for August prior to the start of school. The Children ID Program where photo IDs including finger prints of the child would be given to parents or guardians in the event of accident or abduction to aid police. Brother Charlie suggested taking a picture of your child when you arrive at the location of your outing (so you have a record of what they are wearing and how they look on that day). Council No report Youth No report

Squires There will be five Squires going to the State Convention at a cost of $40.00 per Squire which has been covered by the Knight of Columbus Council 10505. Brother Dan Crocket reported that he has a viable candidate for Chief Squire. He will be starting and conducting the meetings going forward with the Chief Counselor serving as a resource and support person only. LAMB Brother Dan Crockett reported that we will be conducting our first collection at the Harris Teeter on Brookdale Drive in Charlotte on Saturday, June 14 th with another Saturday (to be planned) later in the year. This is to supplement our efforts at Bi-Lo which will continue as planned. Fund Raising Brother Charlie Scott was given well deserved recognition for all he has done for our Council by taking the lead in Driving at the Speedway and for keeping the Squires going until we had a permanent Chief Counselor. We owe Brother Charlie a great debt of gratitude - GK Will Murphy, 06/08/2014 Veterans Affairs Brother Bob Crockett reported that he is the co-chair for his Veterans group in Salisbury to raise funds for the National Veterans Wheel-chair Games to be held in Philadelphia, PA. The airfare for each participant is $320 - $350 and hotel rooms are $178/night for double occupancy. Website No new report. All is working well on the website. UNFINISHED BUSINESS The proposed gift for Father Emeka Christopher was tabled by GK Will pending discussions with the officers on the amount and funding source of the gift. The RSVP gift for Seminarian Alfonso will be the first order of business during our new fraternal year. NEW BUSINESS Brother Dan Crockett made a motion to provide a $150 for the Wheel-chair

Olympics. This amount was thought to be too modest and PGK Don Gruno urged us to raise our donation to $500.00 payable to the Salisbury Veterans Medical Center (Mitch Miller- Lead Rep) Election of officers for our 2014/15 fraternal year was conducted as planned led by Worthy Advocate Tom Yaroma.
