THE OFFICIAL PUBLICAT I O N O F T H E S O U T H E A S T E R N NORTH CAROLINA REGIONAL MUSTANG CLUB MARCH MEETING, SUNDAY, MARCH 11, 2018 4:00 PM KICKBACK JACK S 418 SOUTH COLLEGE ROAD WILMINGTON, NC Jacksonville members meet at the Dawson Cabin Rd Exxon station at 2:45 for a NLT 3PM departure. Wilmington members meet at KICK- BACK JACK S AT 3:45. INSIDE THIS ISSUE: February Meeting Wanted 2 MUSTANGS AT CHUY S The February 2018 meeting of the Southeastern NC Mustang Club was held on Sunday, February 11, at Chuy s in Jacksonville, NC. Jessie Lisane opened our meeting with prayer before we enjoyed a delicious meal. Bob then welcomed everyone, and we welcomed new members Dan and Danese Marett, they have returned to our area after living in Northern VA for a number of years. They are actually former members, having been members about 11 years ago. We are delighted to have them back in the family. Dan and Danese are a true Mustang family. We also welcomed Avery and Debbie Younts to the family. They are the owners of a black Rousch. Colwell Smith was the only member present who is celebrating a birthday in February. So Happy Birthday to you Colwell. Colwell is also the chairman of our 2018 show, please consider where you would like to help for the show and let Colwell know so he can reserve your spot as a volunteer. Gloria acted as substitute treasurer in Kurt Miller s absence. We have $1,834.59 in our bank account at this time. Gloria graciously accepted membership applications and renewals at this meeting. Board Members and Prayer Requests Annual Car Show Volunteer Sheets 3 4-5 Dick Steinkophf reported that due to changes in the party reservations at Bluewater Grille we may be changing the location of our annual Christmas Party. If you know of a location that would be appropriate for our gathering please let one of the board members know. President's Corner 6 February Meeting 7-9 Upcoming Events 10 We have been contacted about possibly of a car show at Walton s Distillery. When the details are available we will bring it to the membership to determine if this is something we can do and would like to do.

P O N Y E X P R E S S Page 2 MUSTANGS AT CHUY S At our January meeting Emmitt Hawks Jr. invited our club to join his Tidewater Mustang Club for a field trip/cruise to Carolina Wild Horse Open House in Elizabeth City. Bob was the only member fortunate enough to be able to attend. He was very impressed with their facility and urges anyone needing major work done for their Mustang or any other vehicle to consider taking your car to them to do your work. It has been our custom to attend a Christmas Show in Myrtle Beach every other year, 2018 is the year for a show. We will be investigating what shows are available and bringing it to the club for our November meeting. If you have not paid your dues to renew your membership for 2018 please send them to Kurt Miller. We do have a few members who have not renewed and we don t want anyone to miss out on all our news and activities. In 2017 we had a number or fun activities outside of our meeting times. If you know of something that you think the club would enjoy, or if there is someplace that makes for a perfect cruise let one of our activity committee members know. All ideas are welcome and we are looking forward to new adventures this year. Our March Meeting is scheduled for Kickback Jack s in Wilmington, March 11. This is the first day of Daylight Saving Time, so remember to set your clock ahead one hour on Saturday night. It is also the beginning of our meeting time being 4:00 PM. Bob adjourned our meeting. WANTED Our member Dennis Bosak is interested in purchasing an enclosed trailer for transporting his Shelby to MCA and other shows. He would like a covered car carrier 24 x 8.5 to transport his car to shows and track events. If you have one for sale, or know of one please contact Dennis dennisbosak@yahoo.com.

P O N Y E X P R E S S Page 6 THE PRESIDENT S CORNER Great new location in Jacksonville for our February meeting. The Daytona 500 has come and gone and the weather is begging me to get out and drive. The coming months will bring many opportunities to get out and enjoy each other s company as well as attend car related activities. If you get an inquiry from someone that s interested in something that relates to club participation, please get the five w s if you can. Who, what, when where and why (filled out) will help the club in making a good determination of our ability or desire to attend or support that event. March brings us back south and we will once again hit Kick Back Jacks here in Wilmington. Let s fill the room again and we ve been promised that the Juke Box will not be in play this time. Till then, be safe and remember to keep all of our leaders in your thoughts and prayers as well as those suffering from so many tragic events in our country. Happy motoring, Bob. March 11 is the date of our next meeting, it is also the first day of Daylight Saving Time for 2018. Don t forget to change your clocks on March 10. Our meeting will begin at 4:00 PM until the time changes in the Fall.
