Go approx. 2 miles and camp in on the left From our Lay Director: Dan Hare I hope everyone is ready for the Walks, because we are having them, and we need the Community to step up to make these walks special for the Pilgrims. We must remember that the walks are for the Pilgrims, so they can feel the presence of Jesus. We had a wonderful Gathering at Pinopolis last Friday and a special 4 th day given by CT Meree, and as usual great music. Please check in with all the Board members about where you can serve. There was the Prayer vigil, Kitchen sign-ups, and camp set-up, Agape for the Pilgrims, and helping with luggage and Transportation. I am excited about the walks because we are sharing experiences with Pilgrims that we went through when we took our walks. Please try to be at the sponsors hour, Candlelight and closing. Each one of the Board members will be asking for help, please reach out to them to show support of these walks. This set of Walks is a big step in working with Midland Emmaus in that we are expecting 6 men from Midland on men s walk. I would like Lowcountry Emmaus to show the hospitality to these pilgrims just like our own. I still remembering taking my Walk in the foothills of North Carolina and I felt so welcomed. I thank God for these walks because he is the one who makes these walks possible. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!!!! Decolores, Dan Hare Lay Director

From our Facilities Chair: Ed Hickey We are in need of Willing Servants to refurbish camp on Sunday10-21-18 1:00 PM or Monday 10-22-18 8:30 AM. Also Take down, Cleanup on Sunday10-28-18 1:00 or Monday10-29-18 8:30 AM With a few more hands the work will move quickly and not be a burden! Peace and DeColores Ed Hickey 843-864 6723 if needed From our Literature and Supplies Chair: Wilhemina Hearne Please bring all your Agape letters to send off. I will be there to collect the letters. Please remember to put at least the first initial and real last names on the envelopes. I would also like to thank Clara Stoner for helping with the lanyards, and to the members of the Sonrise Reunion Group for helping me string crosses. Without them it would have been very stressful for me. Also, a thank you for the lovely roosters donated by Denise Otts that will be with the literature and supplies. DeColores!!

From our Agape Chair: Karen Ayers AGAPE OPPORTUNITIES The time is almost here for our walks and Table Agape is needed; please provide 65 pieces of each. Also, include with your agape a separate sheet listing the agape item, a contact person who will take leftovers, and a list of those who worked on the agape. Please bring them to send off; if they are ready please bring agape items for both walks to the men s sendoff to facilitate set up and organization. I have received some response to the e-blast requests for snack agape and prayer vigil but still have plenty of openings. Please contact me by call or text at 843-812-8644 or by e-mail at klayers49@yahoo.com. There are other walks going on this month throughout the US and the world. I ve sent our wall agape letter to them (I ve received many compliments about the beautiful beach scene) and ask you to add their teams and pilgrims to your prayer list. We have received and printed letters from all over to post at our walks and some of them are real works of art! Pray, Pray, Pray all weekend Sponsor Reminders: Make sure your pilgrim eats before coming on Thursday; there is no food served Thursday evening Please stress the importance of putting away watches, cell phones, etc. The weekend is about getting away from the day to day so that we can get closer to Jesus.
