2018 Chairman Letter October 2018 Fall Camp was an exciting time for all that attended. The weather was so nice that the outdoor pool was still open! Since we had a low turn out, next year we will try to move the date so it will not fall on the same weekend as some local high school marching band activities. A big Thank You to everyone that helped out during this weekend, it is truly appreciated. We have some scary events coming up this month. The Bloodview Haunted House and the Haunted Halloween party. The party will be hosted by Shawn McNeil in his new barn; the Trailblazers have also been invited to this event. Please bring a Halloween dish to share. See the flyer for more details. September was our annual recruiting month for all of the Adventure groups. Share your experience with a friend or neighbor about the group. Invite them to try it out for themselves. Our new members will be attending our upcoming events; please introduce yourself and make them feel welcome. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2018 7:00 PM 11:00 PM 11921 Fitzwater Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 At the end of Fitzwater Road, overlooking the Cuyahoga Valley, there is a barn. While it is not a very old barn, it is said to haunted by the spirits of the Fitzwater family who settled the area over 200 years ago. Halloween is a special time for these spirits and I would not be surprised if they make an appearance. We will be celebrating Halloween with a party that will be sure to be fun for the wide age range represented by the Trail Blazers and Senior Princesses. Just some of the planned activities include: Bonfire, music (the Fitzwater spirits have been known to break out in dance), pizza and snacks, costume contest (costume not required but come on, it s HALLOWEEN), games, ghost stories, and weather permitting, you do not want to miss the candlelight procession to the Fitzwater family cemetery.
