One Year Bible Intercessors... Today Is Palm Sunday! Blessed is He Who Comes In The Name of The Lord! "Jesus Enters Jerusalem on Palm Sunday" (Watercolor by James Tissot, circa 1896-1902) You can read the Gospel accounts of His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem: Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-10, Luke 19:29-38 and in John 12:12-15. In the Gospel of Luke, you will find as Jesus came to the descent of the Mount of Olives on Palm Sunday, He was overcome with emotion... "Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it..." (Painting by Enrique Simonet, 1892) "He Saw the City and Wept Over It" Later that same week, He lamented again over Jerusalem... "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'" ("Jesus Laments over Jerusalem" Matthew 23:37-39 and "Better to Trust God than Man" Psalm 118:26 NKJV) This is the Week of Lent and the Week of Passover... For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." ("The Twelve Apostles Are Instructed" Matthew 10:26 NKJV) In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen. For Those New to Our One Year Bible and Torah Readings...Welcome! Editor's Note: This ministry, One Year Bible and Torah Readings, belongs to the Lord. It is one of encouragement that is provided through the reading of His Word recorded in the Bible and in the Jewish Torah Readings, Praise God. You will have respite from graphic and violent news accounts here. Our mission is to encourage and provide a Godly refuge for intercessors from the negative effects of the world's calamities through the daily reading of His Word and weekly Torah. May You be Blessed, and Thank You for joining us on this journey and taking Godly refuge in His Word! The following Scripture is our wish to you as fellow intercessors, that God will meet all of your needs as you serve Him. Amen. "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.
Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing Psalms. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." ("Meeting Specific Needs" James 5:13 and 16 NKJV) For our faithful intercessors and readers, we have developed a "One Year Bible and Torah Readings Letter," with an attached amplified weekly Sunday-Saturday "One Year Bible" Word document that includes One Year Bible Scripture references, as well as their chapter headings. About six years ago, to learn more about our Judeo-Christian roots, we added into the existing "One Year Bible" weekly letter, the traditional Shabbat Torah/Old Testament and Haftarah/Prophets Readings read by observant Jews worldwide. We also include the Brit Chadashah or New Testament Readings read by Messianic Jews. This easy-to-use format gives us a "heads-up" for daily Scripture readings, and tells us what the weekly Shabbat Torah readings are for Friday and Saturday. We can read and pray through the Bible and Torah readings, and compare their teachings to world, national, state and local headlines; as well as to situations in our daily personal and business lives! Again, attached to this letter is this week's "Word" document of One Year Bible Readings amplified with chapter headings. As the Lord leads, I have highlighted key verses in purple...his color of royalty. God Is So Good!
In closing, I pray that you will be blessed as you read God's Word in His "Amplified One Year Bible" and in His Messianic Torah, Haftarah/Prophets and Brit Chadashah/New Testament Readings. I pray that our combined prayers, covering America, Israel and the Whole World that He has Created, will help establish God's Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven! I ask that God will richly bless all who read and pray with God's Word. I ask God to bless the faithful who pray for America, Israel and the Whole World that He has Created, in the Day and Night Watches! And I pray, that God will bless all who follow His Leading and His Word... May many be added to His flock daily, for His Glory, until Jesus Returns! In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.
