Fr. Larry s Corner of the Bulletin This is a great day in our parish. At the 11:00am Mass today we will be inducting six new members into the Greater New Orleans unit of the Salesian Cooperators. What in the would are Salesian Cooperators, you ask? They are the lay component of the Salesian Family, founded by St. John Bosco himself. They are ordinary people who desire to live the Gospel in a dedicated way according to the charism of St. John Bosco. They try to carry out the Salesian apostolic mission in their own family, neighborhood, parish, or workplace. To become members, they have a two year period of initial formation which ends with the induction ceremony in which they make a simple promise. This is what happened this morning. We congratulate our new Cooperators and if any of you are interested in becoming members give a call to the church office and we ll get you started. God bless! CALLING ALL KIDS!! We are looking for boys and girls, grades 3 through high school, to be ALTAR SERVERS. This is a very important ministry of helping the Priest and solemnizing the Mass on Weekends. No experience is necessary we will show you what to do. If you are interested, meet with Fr. Larry in the Church after the 9:00am Mass on September 2nd.
