Canandaigua, NY 14424 585-230-5035 rstearn1@rochester.rr.com Greetings Folks, President s Message February 2017 After a prolonged and unusually warm January thaw, it appears that we have returned to winter. Even though this is not the weather that brings out our favorite cars, that does not mean we can not enjoy each others company and the opportunities to get together for Club events. We are starting off this years events calendar with a breakfast hosted by Carl and Annette Rapp at the Canandaigua Elks Club Lodge. I encourage everyone to come to this breakfast. The food is good and is served by Lodge members. There is no standing in line or carrying your trays to the table. From the Lodge web page: Breakfasts made to order - eggs, pancakes, French Toast, home fries, sausage, bacon and more. Benefits local projects of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State. I can think of no better way to start out our year than a good breakfast the proceeds of which are used to support a worthy charitable organization. All the manpower is provided by volunteers and friends of the Lodge. Speaking of breakfasts, you will note our proposed events calendar is posted on pages 2 & 3. There is a dinner and a pancake breakfast as well as the monthly meeting in March. This calendar is readily editable and events can be easily added. All we need is folks to step up and make suggestions to either Joel or myself. Please consider hosting an outing of some sort. Food is not a necessary part of an event though everyone seems to like to eat. We need your participation to help keep Wayne Drumlins a viable organization. One more note, preliminary planning for our 40 th Annual Car Show is underway. Please keep August 19 th and 20 th in mind. Thank you. 1
